My uncles old dog was the most loyal and obedient dog I’ve ever seen, would literally walk himself and never leave your side. He came into almost every store in his neighborhood when we went out. And if he couldn’t. He’d sit outside with me and never leave my side, even if there were other dogs

If they tell you it's a service animal you really can't press past that. You can get in big trouble for trying to ask them more than it's a service animal

How can you get in trouble for asking questions? Or more so asking for some level of confirmation/proof

@@TheUCruz Its considered discrimination or something at least where i live. All of my bosses have told me this. Employees can only ask if it is a service animal, and what its trained for. Other then that you can get in legal trouble for it

I work at a hotel and deal with this all the time...According to the Ada's website you can ask them two questions ...one.. is this animal trained to assist someone with a disability... two... what tasks is this animal trained to do...
there is no such thing as a registry
there are no tags or licenses
any documentation somebody shows you can be purchased online also it's illegal to ask for any anyway
but based on how they answer question two you can refuse them ...especially if they say anything along the lines of the dog provides Comfort therapy support Etc because therapy dogs are classified as pets
