because its a 150,000$ joke.
that camera is custom build and usually rented out to studios and runs at around 50,000 to rent the basic edition with no extra features for filming in studio lots. . the version gavin has is not only insured with a 50k policy, it also cost around 150k to buy and has almost 50 k worth of extra shit gavin had added or bought to go with it. since every camera is custom build for the buyer. that means this is easily a quarter of a million dollar webcam ..
@@TYcarterTracks but its not like it goes to waste, since he uses it on major movies (sherlock holmes being one). And a youtube channel with over 10 million subs. So the kit might cost over $150,000 but the joke only cost a bit of time.
@@jamesmccann5644 I agree but I must say that I he cameras used by Gavin for filming movies like Sherlock , dredd and hot fuzz were all cameras paid for and provided by the studios filming the movies. They aren’t by law allowed to let people bring their own cameras like that cause these cameras need to be rented and insured for studio use

I’m such a pessimist, but literally all of these clips were amazing, I haven’t even seen a lot of them. Even the stuff not totally gavin related was awesome, like the Linus stuff or dans knob, this made me really happy, I needed that right now. Thank you :)

I love taking some moments frame by frame, like the slap at 4:58 . I love watching Gav go from perfectly visible to some motion blur, to all motion blur.
For anyone who doesn't know how and want's to share the sight, when you pause a video you can go frame by frame with the < and > keys. < goes backwards, and > goes forwards. Not the arrow keys, because I realize they look similar, but the keys next to the ? key.
