    As a season ticket holder at OU I was fortunate enough to go to a lot of these games and to see Adrian Peterson. You knew when you watched him that he was going to great in the NFL. He's the greatest tailback to have ever played at OU and he is one of the greatest tailbacks of all time and I'm proud that he is a Sooner.

    The best 2 backs of all time played there college ball right here in Oklahoma. Mr. Sanders and Mr. Peterson..... Oklahoma is FOOTBALL

    • @brianparker1878
      @brianparker1878 9 лет назад +2

      +Jimmy Erwin Umm… Barry Sanders played HSFB in Kansas and Adrian Peterson played HSFB in Texas. Hell, even guys like Thurman Thomas (Texas), Billy Sims (Texas), Marcus Depree (Mississippi), Kendal Hunter (Texas), Joe Washington (Texas), and current Samaje Perine (Texas) all played somewhere other than in Oklahoma. Oklahoma is… OKLAHOMA. Texas is probably the football state. Florida has a monster load of talent, too… just look at the NFL. They lead other states!

    • @jle26

      +Jimmy Erwin Get lost. Ricky Williams was the greatest college RB of all time. He literally ran over people.

    • @jimmyerwin6430
      @jimmyerwin6430 9 лет назад

      TraumaER .... Hey, I respect the hell out of Ricky Williams........ In the NFL..... I'm a Sooner so of course I'm a little bias, but Williams came up with a stipulation as apart of his contract that he would have to reach a certain amount of yards and/or t.d.'s to get that extra money. Man you got to respect that. Now as far as the best collegeiate back is.......... Billy Simms.. Who did that guy play for again?

      ***** That was proven to be complete speculation and theirs no proof that phone call even happened. You already got a player from us buddy and his name is Matt Cassel;) You wont get AP he still has three years on his contract and if hes even still good by then we will just resign him. EVERY football player grows up cheering for a team lol but only maybe 2% of players go on to play for that team and when they do its usually luck like they get drafted by that team or its cause they suck and they sign as a freeagent

      The funny thing, you knew immediately he was going to be incredible. I always remember this 30 something yard run he did in a preseason game his rookie year. Got up the sideline flying and instead of running out, he lowered his shoulder and gave a boom to fall for extra yards. I knew right then and there that he was going to be a monster.
      I didn't really get into college football until the 2007 season. I didn't even know of college football until the 2004 season, but I had watched the NFL since 2002. So when I saw this guy, I had no idea of his prior accomplishments at a lower level.
      Even though it was that eye opening to a guy with zero knowledge beforehand, I bet people who watched him in college were amazed that he was immediately doing the same things in the pros that he did at OU. Other people like Randy Moss, Odell Beckham Jr, Cam Newton, etc did things game one that you KNEW that they were destined for greatness.

      At 227 TR pro day he ran a 4.45 and 4.49 hand times. Fournette was clocking 4.35 or better hand times in high school at 230lb.
