Are you crazy? This is great quality for a video that has highlights from 10-12 years old. Some of these videos from back then look like 22 pixels and blurry backgrounds.
As a season ticket holder at OU I was fortunate enough to go to a lot of these games and to see Adrian Peterson. You knew when you watched him that he was going to great in the NFL. He's the greatest tailback to have ever played at OU and he is one of the greatest tailbacks of all time and I'm proud that he is a Sooner.
Love this song. Love Peterson more. I got called a, "small Peterson" and got to meet and shake his hand in person at one of his Adrian Peterson Football Camps. My proudest moments ha.
hes a beast.... freak of nature i remember seeing him play as a freshman and u could tell hes a special player.... looking forward to seeing the rest of whats sure to be a phenomenal career
+Jimmy Erwin Umm… Barry Sanders played HSFB in Kansas and Adrian Peterson played HSFB in Texas. Hell, even guys like Thurman Thomas (Texas), Billy Sims (Texas), Marcus Depree (Mississippi), Kendal Hunter (Texas), Joe Washington (Texas), and current Samaje Perine (Texas) all played somewhere other than in Oklahoma. Oklahoma is… OKLAHOMA. Texas is probably the football state. Florida has a monster load of talent, too… just look at the NFL. They lead other states!
yeah but adrian came from the state of texas like eric Dickerson earl Campbell earl Thomas Jamaal charles von miller. johnny manziel last years number 1 high school qb and number 1 rb and ADRIAN PETERSON. mean joe Greene micheal crabtree justin tucker and thats just a few Texas is football Then Ohio is 2nd

TraumaER .... Hey, I respect the hell out of Ricky Williams........ In the NFL..... I'm a Sooner so of course I'm a little bias, but Williams came up with a stipulation as apart of his contract that he would have to reach a certain amount of yards and/or t.d.'s to get that extra money. Man you got to respect that. Now as far as the best collegeiate back is.......... Billy Simms.. Who did that guy play for again?
depends on his work ethic. he's big, powerful, and surprisingly fast. plus he's got crazy good instincts. never gonna see him have a career like AP but if the steelers o line holds up he could be the best running back we ever have.
He did play in that game, that was the game he healed from the collar bone injury. I just didn't put his highlights in that game in this video because this video is from 2005, not 2007 (when the boise st game happened).
The Pride of Palestine, TX. He's still a legend around there/Houston area. Hopefully he gets to play in TX at some point in his career like he's said he wants to. He grew up a die hard Cowboys fan and it's no secret he wants to play there before he retires.
He said he wants to say in minnesota, I live in MN and are a vikings fan. Its his agent that said he wants to go somewhere else because the agent wanted more money, he said he wouldnt be on any other team.
***** That was proven to be complete speculation and theirs no proof that phone call even happened. You already got a player from us buddy and his name is Matt Cassel;) You wont get AP he still has three years on his contract and if hes even still good by then we will just resign him. EVERY football player grows up cheering for a team lol but only maybe 2% of players go on to play for that team and when they do its usually luck like they get drafted by that team or its cause they suck and they sign as a freeagent
ARE YOU HIGH!?!? He possibly has some of the greatest RB vision in the History of the game! Thats exactly why they ran those type of stretch plays and tosses in college AND in the pros! No one runs the Stretch better than AD!!
Just watched this to compare it to AJ Dillion's college highlights. AP was insanely fast. There is no real comparison. Green Bay got a good RB in the 2nd round but fuck. AP was on a different level.
+MrBenny Bobo gurley wasn't even the secound best back in last years draft don't compare him to my favorite back of all time. AP is better the that bitch and will always be.
Cake - The Distance is a good song. It might be played to too many of these highlight reels. I'm not sure, but maybe that is why negative thoughts on song.
You don't usually see players that clown the pros the same way they did on college. Any of these highlights could've been clips of the Bears. Chicago fans know what I'm talking about.
The funny thing, you knew immediately he was going to be incredible. I always remember this 30 something yard run he did in a preseason game his rookie year. Got up the sideline flying and instead of running out, he lowered his shoulder and gave a boom to fall for extra yards. I knew right then and there that he was going to be a monster. I didn't really get into college football until the 2007 season. I didn't even know of college football until the 2004 season, but I had watched the NFL since 2002. So when I saw this guy, I had no idea of his prior accomplishments at a lower level. Even though it was that eye opening to a guy with zero knowledge beforehand, I bet people who watched him in college were amazed that he was immediately doing the same things in the pros that he did at OU. Other people like Randy Moss, Odell Beckham Jr, Cam Newton, etc did things game one that you KNEW that they were destined for greatness.
After all these years this is still the best highlight video I've seen on RUclips...I might be wrong but wasn't this originally uploaded by someone else?
IamTheJesus69 They say that about all the beasts. Problem is that Trent Richardson was powerful but only had typical speed and had zero vision. At 227 TR pro day he ran a 4.45 and 4.49 hand times. Fournette was clocking 4.35 or better hand times in high school at 230lb.
The vikings just dont use him to their advantage... when he was at OU which is my team he was a beast but the last couple years in the Nfl have been bad for him besides a few records hes broken
Best running back I've ever seen! Started watching in 07' hes top 5 ever
Barry Sanders and LT in his class. No one else
Dad showed this to me around 11 years ago when it was uploaded I was 9. Now I’m lifting almost every day to this song and running sprints. Amazing
Almost exact same story man still watch it almost annually
We won't see a running back like him for quite some time. I'm just glad i got to see a future hall-of-famer play! GO VIKES!
Man I watched this video years ago. Its still one of my all-time favorites
glad you enjoyed it broski
i used to watch this video all the time back in high school computer class. glad to see its still up
Damn when then that nigga play in the 1960's, wassup wit da quality?
+Doe' do i Nah 2004-2007 lol but yeah idk why there aren't better quality college highlights for AP.
I made this video in 2007 but Ight
Are you crazy? This is great quality for a video that has highlights from 10-12 years old.

They had HD back then

was he huge
hes a beast.... freak of nature i remember seeing him play as a freshman and u could tell hes a special player.... looking forward to seeing the rest of whats sure to be a phenomenal career
He literally has another gear of acceleration when he kicks it in its unreal
I think this is an exceelent choice on music for AD...
The best 2 backs of all time played there college ball right here in Oklahoma. Mr. Sanders and Mr. Peterson..... Oklahoma is FOOTBALL
+Jimmy Erwin Umm… Barry Sanders played HSFB in Kansas and Adrian Peterson played HSFB in Texas. +Jimmy Erwin Get lost. Ricky Williams was the greatest college RB of all time. He literally ran over people.
TraumaER .... Hey, I respect the hell out of Ricky Williams........ In the NFL..... not only a great song, but very relevant to the video's content
I literally watched this video back in 2007 as a 6th grader, cant believe how time flew
how can anyone hate on Cake?? AP is a beast tho. He's going the distance
Man AD used to FUCK SHIT UP at OU. It was awesome.
That run vs tulsa around 0:51 was so monstrous
A.P. Just seems to have so much energy when he runs
Peterson is always the best classic back of the old school era
The nostalgia….
He has some of the wildest leg action in all of sports. It is a joy to watch.
this song couldn't be more fitting
1:08 still gets me hype!! Glad this vid is still up.
bust im calling it
lol
lol
Now that’s FUNNY
I’m sorry, maybe he meant Hall Of Fame BUST!!
That aged well
At 2:41 that acceleration boost was awesome !
It is stupid how good he was compared to everyone else in CFB at the time
Hands down one of the greatest running backs if all time. If not THE best.
adrian peterson been beasting since he could walk let alone college or the nfl
He does things that make me question if hes a human being, thats why hes the best
Dude is quick as hell. Also, Orange Peanut.
For me?
Harrison LeBlanc well I accept you.
If only he'd be released by the Vikings and goes on a team that could make it to the superbowl because that man needs a ring
He'll get one...wearing purple. 2016-2017 season heard it here first
Josh Schreiber LOLOLOL
Josh Schreiber Welp😕
Joshua Schreiber they were off to a good start..
Well, fast forward two years later - ADRIAN PETERSON left the VIKINGS to sign w/ SAINTS and now, he's a CARDINAL - WHO WOULD OF THUNK IT?!
Congratulations to Adrian Peterson for the best year of his career and getting 2,000 yards!
depends on his work ethic. he's big, powerful, and surprisingly fast. plus he's got crazy good instincts. never gonna see him have a career like AP but if the steelers o line holds up he could be the best running back we ever have.
I love this highlight
True Sooners know his nickname isn't AP, it's AD, everybody stop calling this man AP lol
+Josh Callaway Thank you!!! Someone finally understands His name ain't AP it's AD for ALL DAY
Agreed, so damn annoying.
AP is Allen Patrick.
Beautiful, just beautiful!
that cut at 2:06 oooohh weeeeeee
A.P. runs like he is on FIRE..
if you listen to the song it sounds like the perfect match for adrian petersons running style
Best running back, and he will be forever
I love adrian Peterson

he's gonna get a lot of chances on the ball. expect 250-300 carries for bell. lets see what he can do in the nfl before we make judgements
greatest RB of all time in my opinion. I don't care what anyone says.
no doubt his numbers are great if he retired right now he a automatic hall of famer
no doubt his numbers are great if he retired right now he a automatic hall of famer

Andy53662 hes top 10 maybe but definitely not the best

Nah he'll retire a Viking
He said he wants to say in minnesota, I live in MN and are a vikings fan. Its his agent that said he wants to go somewhere else because the agent wanted more money, he said he wouldnt be on any other team.
He never once said he wants to play for the cowboys?? speaking out of your ass

When i seen peterson in college i knew he was gonna b awesome nfl reggie bush better college career peterson better nfl
That run at 0:53 tho good Lord!!! Lol
ARE YOU HIGH!?!?
He possibly has some of the greatest RB vision in the History of the game! Thats exactly why they ran those type of stretch plays and tosses in college AND in the pros! No one runs the Stretch better than AD!!
THAT man had better make the Hall Of Fame.
what song is that called??? Awesome video, with great music also!
PsT Scarce the distance
these highlights are from his sophomore year, which is 2005
That song is beast. Just cause it wasn't rap or dubstep doesn't mean it's not good music.
Nah, I still don't understand how people like like a song like this.
Leonard Fournette is the next Adrian Peterson. It's crazy how identical they play.
it's crazy
I doubt fournette reaches ad's level but he is special.
Prosper why do you doubt him though?
+Patrick Nadro i dont I jus think ap will always be on a completely different level than everyone else
Prosper maybe man. We will see!
@MzzWashington Its called "The Distance" by "Cake"
love this song
He is one of the goat's
like i said, these highlights are of his sophomore year, which would be 2005. the Boise st game was in early 2007 (the 2006 season)
Nice song and great vid
that run at 2:40 where he just splits through everyone... wow.
Best running back of all time
thank you
thanks dude
The MAN!
the greatest
live like a warrior
i have peterson with all my navy blue and orange heart..but god damn is he a good back
Just watched this to compare it to AJ Dillion's college highlights. AP was insanely fast. There is no real comparison. Green Bay got a good RB in the 2nd round but fuck. AP was on a different level.
good video
Is it a coincidence that ap was on the ad
thanks!
And people say Todd Gurley is faster.. Please..
Arcadian Mirrorz In a timed event, I believe Gurley would run low 4.3's in a 40 yard dash, which would smoke Peterson's official time of 4.40 at Indy.
MrBenny Bobo if you have watched Peterson through th years. He is faster than he was when he got drafted
Thats good stuff. The more film ive watched since i commented, i feel differently now.
+MrBenny Bobo gurley wasn't even the secound best back in last years draft don't compare him to my favorite back of all time. AP is better the that bitch and will always be.
Derek Rau what running backs where better than Gurley in this draft?
Cake - The Distance is a good song. It might be played to too many of these highlight reels. I'm not sure, but maybe that is why negative thoughts on song.
He's up there!
You don't usually see players that clown the pros the same way they did on college. Any of these highlights could've been clips of the Bears. Chicago fans know what I'm talking about.
+Smurfing Bear Exactly the man is unreal makes pros look like kids

Wow he's gotten a lot bigger in the NFL. He looks tiny when compared to how ripped he is now!
thx for the view man
haha i am too the only difference i can really see is he is slower than ap, but he runs just as hard as peterson
After all these years this is still the best highlight video I've seen on RUclips...I might be wrong but wasn't this originally uploaded by someone else?
I like this song but it's too chill for this video.
0:52 one of his best runs i think
can we get the 20,000 view on the 1 year anniversary???
"the distance" by Cake
0:55
"What the hell are you doing in my way bitch?!"
thanks for 40k everyone!
i put this up for your entertainment, so why hate? oh i know, its because you dont have a life.
lol how respectful
why do all the good Texas players go play for Oklahoma and OK state? been wondering since I was a kid
Beasttttt
Cake - The Distance
i watched this hoping to make some comparisons to le'veon bell. ima steelers fan and i hope he breaks out this year
leanord Fournette Is the next Adrian Petterson
they said that about trent richardson haha. fournette is legit tho
IamTheJesus69 They say that about all the beasts. Problem is that Trent Richardson was powerful but only had typical speed and had zero vision.

This song hard who is this
man... i feel so bad for all the little kids who had to try and tackle this dude in high school lol..
bells seems like hes gonna have some good years but i think he'll have endurance issues
Yung Pookie this comment sums up his career exactly as it is half a decade later
ikr lmao called it
The vikings just dont use him to their advantage... when he was at OU which is my team he was a beast but the last couple years in the Nfl have been bad for him besides a few records hes broken
You don't watch much football do you
+Easy E What are you talking about AP has pretty much been the best since he was drafted in 2007.
AP...nice running!
The best running back of all-time
