That run at 03:44-03:54, is what I'll always remember about Adrian Peterson during his Oklahoma run. The joker ran so hard every down, that even to his own detriment, he'd always try to hit his head on the goal post. Yep, that was the exact run I decided he was the best college back I’d ever seen (live) in my lifetime… just on an entirely different level, it was almost like he had already scored before the play had even started… just slicing through the defense, always 2 steps ahead… if you were lucky enough to lay a hand on him he would probably snap it off with his power… not used much as a receiver out of the backfield, but in terms of pure running, probably the best college back since Barry Sanders

@@fredleeland2464 while Bush is one of my favorite players of all time, hell no, AP would be your build. Speed, power, agility, vision, acceleration, tackle breaking, stiff arming, he had everything but ball security.
Bush's lack of physicality is what puts him below AP.

That dominating SC squad under Pete Carroll is why the NCAA had to shake things up again. After that, the SEC went on to win a decade of national titles. Remember LSU the year before that massacre by SC played a weaker Oklahoma team in NCG and won 21-14. The Sooners squad SC smashed had two of the Heisman finalists on their offense. The NCAA did the same thing when Frazier and the Cornhuskers were dominating cfb in late 90s and that's when they came up with the BCSec system. The first team to win a National title in bcs era was an sec team. The "4 team" playoff was supposedly made to keep from having another LSU/BAMA all sec NCG. Less than 5 years of the playoff era and we have already seen UGA/Bama in title game lol
Politics. Killed the game for me.
I'm all SC but I ain't watchin' anymore as much. They gonna forever put Southern football up there because they bring in so much money.
I'm pullin' for Sooners this year though. Hope Hurts gets his payback vs Bama no disrespect to my boy Tua but he should've stuck to da West Coast hahahaha

So glad I got to watch him in his prime with my Vikings. I will say, when they drafted him I was against it because we already had Chester Taylor who had already rushed for 1000 yards. I thought we need other positions, other places we could use the 7th pick. Boy was I wrong.

I was just thinking....."whomever made this video was OBVIOUSLY not old enough to have seen Bo, Herschel, Walter, Earl, Billy, Lorenzo, Garrison, or Ricky".....I could keep going. There were many backs more powerful than AP. They could even go fairly recent and look at Derrick Henry or Trent Richardson.

They dont make running backs like Adrian anymore. I watched him play Iowa State back in 2006 and in in the nfl against Seattle in 2012 (i believe), both games put up 175+ rushing yards and 2td's. Most exciting running back ive watched in my life.
