same here i remember when this came out in 1991

After 34 years of marriage, my wife decided to leave me, and not long after, I needed urgent heart surgery to stay alive. They said I had a failing valve, but I knew what it really was. I lay in the hospital for 10 weeks, staring out at the snow and often not caring what happened to me. It was during the Covid lockdown, so I couldn't even have my two sons visit me during recovery. I have never been so sad and lonely. Somehow, this song reflected some of what I was feeling, and I played it over and over, crying every time but somehow feeling better. It didn't pull me thru, but it did help me deal with the pain. Thanks Genesis.

I play these songs for my kids who are 6 and 10yrs old. They love it and ask me to always play 80's and 90's music. They now name the artist and song every time a song comes on. They probably know more 80's songs than most adults do. lol

Back in the day, music people controlled what got released and promoted; true, sometimes they missed, but most of the time, the music was worth listening to. Nowdays, all this auto-tuned, sing-songy bullshit pisses me off...

This song means a lot to me, 10 years ago I invited my beautiful wife to come over my apartment to listen to a Phil Collins CD that I just bought. At that time we were just dating, unfortunately we parted ways but, God brought us together after 10 years. Hold on my heart was the first song we heard together when she accepted my invitation. We got married July 22, 2017 and i thank the Lord for bringing us back together. It has been a blessing...thank baby doll for loving me unconditionally and having my back 100%

I was born in June the year this was released. Every morning about 3 AM, my mom would go to check on me, and this song for whatever reason was always on the radio. It kind of became her song for me. Fast forward to last year when I went into surgery, she put her phone on shuffle in the waiting room, and this was the first thing that came up. Sometimes things are meant to be. This song was meant to be ours. 💜

Same here. I saw them perform live at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. I also saw Phil perform live at the Spectrum in Philadelphia during his "Serious" tour in 1990. I guess you can say that he put the "PHIL" in PHILADELPHIA.
