Hey Plateau Peak! After a pretty crappy week starting a new job, this video popped up on my home page. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment and give me a shout-out in the video! You just made my week! 😃
I think it was ok to use the serpent hunter because when you use it on rykard you don’t hit him with the actual weapon you hit him with summon weapon. I don’t know if its not ok but i wanted to share my opinion
The:" I have to be lucky once, they have to be lucky every time." Comes from the ILA, the Irish Liberation Army and was said in context of the attempted assasination of Margret Thatcher. I love this callback mate
Fun fact you can spare nephali and not give her the potion and instead give it to guidion and he will take it from you and it will let you progress through his quest like normal.
Or alternatively, you can start the dung-eaters quest, wait until he's tied himself to that chair and feed him the potion. This has the added benefit of the Dungeater puppet being one of the best summons in the game.
I feel like, for Rykard, you coulda respecced into Faith and used Black Blade from Maliketh's Remembrance; it's technically a summoned weapon. Love the videos btw; really great content!
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate a lot of these videos having decent subtitles! It's really helpful for someone like me with auditory processing disorder, it makes it way easier to relax and watch instead of focusing to process the words fast enough. Also I love the concept of this run: wizard got bored of watching all the knights run around with their cool huge swords and decided to make his own, surely there will be no negative consequences
A fully charged Carian Piercer will knock Rennala to the ground on hit. I've stunlocked her using other attacks that cause knock down. I was just hitting her again for another knock down as she's getting to her feet. She only manages to get out of that when she starts summoning spirits, since the summon animation has Hyper Armor and she just throws it out at the earliest opportunity whenever she's able to. Malenia also gets knocked to the floor by moves like that. My first victory against her was basically due to me putting her on the floor every single time she did an attack that left an opening, and following that up with either more attacks or getting a heal off. That "Hammer Time" at the end was a big tease for me. I was hoping to see Gavel of Haima get used at some point. Since it gives you Hyper Armor and flattens enemies. (Probably obvious now that I really like attacks that knock down enemies.)
Oh didn't know it could knock that many people down, probably should have used that And I swear I tried using the Gavel on most bossfights but it costs so much focus and it doesn't deal that much damage so I couldn't justify it
@@PlateauPeak i feel your Rennala pain, i was fighting her and could only use things i could get in limgrave and liurnia so i defaulted to carian slicer. i was level 54 when i finally beat her

i dont comment often on vids but i just have to say i love your Challenge runs. Your commentary is informative and funny the video is cut nicely and your choices for the background music are great. I really hope there are many more to come. Thank you every vid of yours brightens my day. :)
Congratulations on successfully finishing this run and managing to defeat all demigods! Although, I feel like Carian Piercer would've been very useful had you used it against Malenia.
This guy probably gets less credit than he should for these amazing vids. Not only is he an amazing player but he chooses the mathematically best set up and forms his playstyle perfectly around it to maximize efficiency. Best way to complete a challenge ever
You probably already know this but Adula's Moonblade has a slight range attack as well as dealing frost build-up so you could've saved yourself maybe a few tries on godskin duo by utilizing the Moonblade (Maybe you tried this already but I found that's one of the best weapon summon spells to deal with them)
19:50 For the foreskin duo you could have used pots, as while hitting with the pot does deal 1 damage, hitting the ground still applies the effect while dealing no pot damage.
Knew I was gonna like your channel after you referenced my boy Lemon over at the Backlogs. Was not disappointed in the video that followed that intro. Good stuff!
Complimenti davvero, a partire dalla pazienza di fare tutte queste challenge fino alla scelta delle OST (Mi sembra di aver riconosciuto il Glavenus, qualcosa di Rise e Gehrman tra le tante!)
Wow, you're insane. So skilled. Love the content! That quote during the godskin duo might actually change the way I play the game. Why not just play aggressive every fight? Not like I have anything to lose.
love the vid, also if you use the ash of war on st. Trina's torch ( the sleep torch) it does no damage so you can sleep the godskin duo without hurting them.
Thank you, I thought I was the only person that wanted to use that as an incant as well as his other summoned weapons, hopefully a DLC adds some summoned holy weaps that are actually good like the black blade
Nice job, just want to say for Godskin Duo you only have to fight 1v2 if and only if you don’t use the terrain to isolate one of them, preferably the Fatty first
Damn, you beat me to this run. Was going to make a video like this months ago, but got burnt out on the run after having done two magic-based builds right before attempting it. I might finish it eventually. It seems that you took a different approach to the run than I did, so it’d be neat to be able to compare and contrast
I made a carian knight-type character who used the summon weapons and it was a hell of a lot of fun. I still had a melee weapon for when i ran out of fp, but really carian slicer and moonblade can carry you through the game. Good run!
btw the jump back and front fire dragon attack is a part of the moveset of most dragons in the game. You are supposed to dodge it by calling your horse quickly and run away.
I love this video and I love this accent. It was really entertaining and nice to watch. Nice job on the build too, it's pretty valid and easy to use. A real arcane warrior. Keep up the great work!

One thing to note, the godskin duo is actually quite easy if you focus the Noble (fat one) first. I don’t know why they made the fat one more agro, but he is. If you look at most of your clips in that section you seem to be focusing the apostle, with the noble getting in tons of free hits. Instead learn how to fight the noble, because the apostle is far more likely to leave you two completely alone. You only shared 2 clips of you focusing the noble, and both times you died to one of his combos rather than the apostle getting involved. Just a tip for next time :)
Funny thing is, this is more or less my plan for my first Elden Ring playthrough once I get the game. These summoned weapons look so sick in my opinion and I want to walk around as a battle mage. And both Frozen Lightning Spear and Radagon's Rings of Light provide slightly different options for crowd control, even if they aren't available until about the mid-game. And it's entirely possible to do a Int/Faith build without one lagging behind the other, as there are two staves and one seal that scale off of both stats. The Golden Order Seal is available just as early as Discus of Light, though sadly the two staves aren't available until around mid-game. But, until you get either Prince of Death's Staff or the Gelmir Staff, the Meteorite Staff will keep your sorceries boosted. But even if we focus on just sorceries you severely limited yourself there, too. Gavel of Haima and Carian Piercer are both great melee sorceries, and there were several other ranged sorceries that could've been used other than the bows. To be specific, Magic Glintblade, Glintblade Phalanx, Carian Phalanx, and Greatblade Phalanx were all sorceries that were viable for the challenge. I guess it's great for me that you limited yourself so much on this challenge run, as it gives my eventual video the ability to stand on its own due to how differently I approached it. But at the same time, I can't help but feel like that due to the heavily restrictions you placed upon yourself within the challenge itself this feels less like a "summoned weapons only" run and more like a "melee-only sorcerer" build showcase.

But even if we focus on just sorceries you severely limited yourself there, too.
