I remembering starting a sorcery-only playthrough and thinking "this will be a change of pace from my usual melee playstyle". Then I discovered that Carian Slicer was basically a melee build but much better, with the only caveat being mana management.
I never would think some of these weapons and spells your using could do so much damage, guess that's the power of being insanely good at the game and buff stacking.

This video popped up in my feed while I was having trouble beating the final boss for the first time. I was doing a Dark Moon Greatsword build so I pretty much had everything needed to switch to Carian Slicer. Made the boss so much easier. :D Subbed!
Imagine if after you return the death rune to the Elden Ring, you character could be subject to permadeath if you didn't opt for a new journey. According to the lore, Queen Marika removed the rune of death from the Elden Ring to remove death itself from The Lands Between. But since the death rune was restored, so was death itself, therefore our character would stop reviving at sites of grace.
I hear you but technically the Rune of Death was used for the burning of the Erdtree. It hasn’t been returned to the Elden Ring, which means it doesn’t affect the rest of the world until it is.
@@zachwright7374 the thorns blocking the door to the Erdtree were impenetrable and required to burn using Destined Death. We the character don’t know that we have to kill God/Elden Beast/Greater Will, which is just the byproduct of taking the throne. The only tarnished that understood the gravity of the situation was Gideon, which is why he was so distraught in his speech on how it was impossible to take the throne, because god has long forsaken the Tarnished, and Gideon believed no one could slay it.

8:00 I did a blind playthrough on my first run & discovered a large majority of the game; explored every inch of the map and every dungeon, fought all bosses I could find; took ~250hrs and I still missed ALOT of stuff. Not to mention the added content fromsoft keeps throwing in with updates There are still things yet to be discovered, I guarantee it
@@Purriah I love picking wretch or it’s equivalent in fromsoft games! Sadly it does get tedious to spend an hour just collecting items whenever you start a new save; I tend to pick samurai or confessor now just to save time
I didn't have to finish watching the Red Wolf section of the video before I gave the like. After having played sorcery for a while, this only reaffirmed my believe that a sorcerer is just as capable as a melee build. Cheers for the No Hit Gino!

In a more literal case of using ranged spells vs a close-quarter "blade" spell? Not really, and you make an equally fair point. Here's a challenge for you: What is the MINIMUM number of kills requied to beat elden ring? You're allowed to level and use whatever items or weapons you'd like, but any enemy death (including enemies that die by the environment) counts against you.
At least 13 required bosses. Margit Godrick (or wolf renala) radahn, draconic sentinel, gold Godfrey, morgott, fire giant, godskin duo, maliketh, Godfrey, radagon, and beast

Wow... I knew Carian Slicer was great, but dayum. Gino - I'd like to see a Wing of Astel run. I really like it's moveset and how it has multiple ways to deal damage.
After about 25 attempts, I finally defeated Radahn. Well, I say me. Mainly the summons 😂 It took about 2 hours. Tried Rotten Breath, Carian Slicer, Rock Sling. In the end I went and got Comet Azure to smash him quickly to end phase 1, then Loretta's Greatbow and summoned like crazy. What a crazy and super tough boss. You, Gino are a legend.
Hay Gino you were talking about other games you could attempt no hitting may I suggest Undertale, its a very good game story wise with some unique combat and difficult bosses especially if you go for the Genocide ending.

@@Psy_an dragconic has a cheese so does Morgott godfrey and a lot of stuff so lowers to 8 required enimes you Habs to kill

I love how its just slice through shields. Shielded enemies was my nightmare for dex run. But my ınt run just another dex walk with full magic damage.

22:10 I think that any area effect aggros NPCs, whether or not it deals damage. I'm pretty sure the Deathbed Companion's Dress does it too.

I think this dps might even be higher than power stance bleed builds or colossal jump attack builds etc
