This Faith Build Is INSANE… Incantation Only No Hit Run

- Just as new updates are shaking up the Elden Ring Meta we're finding some hidden gems in the far corners of the Lands Between... This run is part of a challenge I'm doing to complete multiple different no-hit runs with weapons that my viewers request. I am trying to complete all 40 that have been requested before 2023. So far, 36 of 40 runs have been done in the last 6 weeks.

Rules: Complete the game while not taking any staggers or damage from enemies or traps. Environmental or self hits/damage are allowed, including fall damage. There is a required death at the beginning of the game which is not counted as a hit because it is needed for progression.

Certain birds depend on the ticks rhinoceros carry, they have a mutually beneficial relationship. The rhino gets cleaned and the birds get a meal. For fire giant i used Rotten Breath and Swarm of Flies, you could also use Black Flame for the % damage
Try black flame or Spider-Man strings for tanky bosses like fire giant

Hang on a minute, that Maliketh fight was absolutely incredible. I particularly like the moment you ran out of magic bar and had a swig mid action.

Ye Malikeths aim sucks, you can just weave most of his melee attacks or he just whiffs normally, very well designed as he makes you run away instead of be up close when the key is to be up close

I wish you would try to take down the optional bosses like Mohg and Malenia even just after the run without the pressure of having to no-death it. It would be cool to see how it performs vs them

Incantation only was the most fun I had with Elden Ring so far. It's crazy how versatile Incantations are in this game, especially compared to older titles in the Souls-series.

I loved how broken this one was catch flame is was stronger than I thought
catch flame is insane, the only drawback is needing to be in kissing distance of the enemy. gino makes it look super easy but thats ... yknow

I fully slept on pest threads until I tried them out against the Nokstella Soldier in Lake of Rot and it did like 18k. I audibly went “what the fuck” after one shotting him.

Same thing with ancient dragon lightning strike, as long as a multi hit incantation has the opportunity to hit multiple times easily it will generally do a stupid amount of damage.
Love that you included killing tree sentinel with the run setup. It might be "trivial" either way but it looks more complete.

For the Sorcery run I highly recommend getting Shard Spiral as soon as possible since it absolutely shreds large enemies like the Fire Giant/Placidusax/Elden Beast and is in general a very good spell (you need to complete Sellen's Questline for the spell).
For general use, Night Comet with the Staff of Loss is excellent and also enemies like Malenia who input read and dodge attacks won't dodge it.
P.S. Carian Slicer is basically going to be your Catch Flame for the Sorcery run.

Honestly, with how long the setup for sorcery is, and how effortlessly the giant, radagon, and elden beast go down, incantations felt to me like they were stronger than sorceries. Insane!

this video motivated me to finish Radagon and Elden beast I got really lucky with Radagon because I could get a lot of O’flames thanks to his long recoveries from some combos and elden Beast just stood there eating Pest Threads while using elden stars
Im impressed how you can do this. This absolute insane i like that im in a run must cosplay as any npc/enemy or boss but im not allowed to do the same cosplay for an other boss. Im in farum Azula and play Okina against maliketh and im suck at fightin maliketh and using RoB because i never play this

So I've been binge watching a lot of Gino's videos recently since I discovered him recently. I swear to god, I've never seen anyone so allergic to gold fowl foots in my life. I genuinely don't think I've seen him use a single one.

I thought incantations would suck too before doing an incant only (not a no-hit) run. I didnt do anywhere near the optimizing you did with the the buffs and talismans, but incants like scouring black flame, dragonclaw, and especially black blade convinced me that an unoptimized faith build is easily at least as good as it's melee only counterpart despite late game boss holy resist.

My first playthrough was supposed to be a str/faith build and it just turned into str because I didn’t know where any incantations were until 2/3 through my playrhrough. I might go back and try this now.

*When you use the poison mist incantation on the draconic tree sentinel, in his back, he doesn't move, doesn't react at all and you can poison him like this till death !*

Maliketh came so close to hitting you when you tried to finish him off but you were out of focus points I am so surprised that you did not get hit
I started an incant only run last week but I’m doing it fairly blind as I’ve always been a STRENGTH ONLY kind of player. I will be watching this and shaking my head when I finish the run I’m sure. (Right now I’m just Catch Flaming everything to death)

the blue dancer charm does different damage at different loads (8,16,24) rather than just 0.
Yeah, it would've been better to say something like "up to 15% damage boost, at 0 equip load"
it's a formula though, it's based on breakpoints. every fraction of a point of weight matters

I mean it's not really slept on, alot of people know how insanely powerful it is, even compared to its supposed upgrade (the bigger, slower catch flame you get later on)

I'm surprised that I'm finding a lot more people are doing these runs and with sorceries. There's such a hate for these types of magics or whatever in Elden Ring. Some players even said to me that it's not the "real way to play" bullshit. I enjoyed this.

My philosophy for video game metas is this; If i found it on my own, without being told by some content creator or tutorial, I'll use it no problem, no matter how OP it might be - I earned it. But if I'm being told by like 6 different videos about how "optimal" something is and bout how it's the "best", I'm gonna go out of my way to avoid it. Gatekeeping isn't really the problem so much as people constantly trying to do everything maximum efficiency, when we should just be having fun and using what we like.

Even if someone wasn't confident in killing that tree sentinel early game, it's so easy to cheese him with poison mist that anyone could do it

Not an alternative to killing tree sentinal, but if you're willing to wait 20 minutes poison misting him is 100% consistent and available on any build without killing anything or doing anything crazy risky with the commoner's simple garb and the faith talisman

Faith is my third highest stat at level 50. My first and second highest stats are vigor at 65 and dexterity at 61.
