The Best Jalapeño Poppers Recipe | How to Make Cheesy Chorizo Bacon Ranch Jalapeno Poppers

- Cheesy Chorizo Bacon Ranch Jalapeño Poppers is a mouthful, but they are (in my opinion) the best jalapeno popper recipe and so easy to make!
This recipe combines the savory flavors of chorizo and cheese, accents it with that addictive ranch seasoning and stuffs it all into a fire roasted Jalapeno pepper. These poppers are easy to prep, just as easy to cook, and are a huge hit for parties or hungry households.
Ingredients:
8-12 Jalapeño Peppers
1 lb. Mexican Chorizo (or Spanish Chorizo, if cured skip the browning step)
8oz. Cream Cheese (soften by leaving out for a couple hours)
1 cup shredded cheese
6 strips bacon cooked and diced
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 tsp. cumin
2-3 tbsp. Musket Powder White Label (sub Ranch Seasoning Powder if no Musket Powder)
1 tbsp. chopped chives
Salt & Pepper to taste

the code isnt working anymore
Thanks for the heads up William. I checked with the suits at Musket Powder and they’re saying it’s working fine. Make sure there’s no space between Texan and 10.
@@outdoorindoortexan you are right. I was getting the 54.99 five pack and code didn’t work again. I noticed it had free shipping. So I just took the one used in this recipe and it worked.
Ahh that makes sense. Thanks for sharing, William!
Made these for a party and they were gone within an hour! As someone who doesn’t cook much, having nearly everyone ask how I made them was a huge compliment. Thanks for the awesome, easy recipe! I added in chipotle chili powder to the chorizo while cooking and it added a great flavor.
That’s so great to hear! Thanks for circling back with feedback and the chipotle powder sounds like an awesome addition. Thanks for watching!
We made them tonight since we have jalapeno peppers growing in large numbers in our garden. This was an amazing recipe. We didn't have any ranch to add but we used pork sausage since we purchased a pig and had plenty of it. I added a little turmeric for color and its good for us and doesn't really have much flavor. We followed the rest of the recipe and it tasted amazing. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Definitely will write this down and use it again.
That’s so great to hear, Rhonda! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to come back and leave the kind words. We make these for parties and they’re always such a huge hit. So good!
Made for appetizers at a church function, FIRST THINGS GONE!!!
WONDERFUL RECIPE, I USED SPICY TURKEY SAUSAGE. Thanks so much
Spicy Turkey sausage sounds perfect for this. Thanks so much for watching and leaving the feedback!
Your Jalapeno Poppers look very delicious, well done my frnd. Thanks for sharing and stay safe out there.
👏👏👏😋
Hey thanks so much for watching and leaving the kind comment!
This is a great appetizer love that you added chorizo to it
Thanks so much Kiana!
Awesome. These look the best of all the ones I’ve seen. Making some this weekend and I’m gonna use this as a guideline. Switch it up a little bit 🤙
Awesome to hear! Let me know what you tweak it with and how it turns out. There's so much room to make it your own, enjoy!
@@outdoorindoortexan Made them with ground pork sausage, caramelized onions, chopped bacon, poblano peppers, cheddar and cream cheese. Turned out great 👍🔥
Heck yeah! Sounds fantastic!
These are hands down the best stuffed peppers my husband and I have ever had and I looooove stuffed jalapeños. These are bomb, so bomb I'm making them again tonight. You will not be disappointed! I used powdered ranch since I didn't have the other. Just make sure you get good chorizo and not the grease bags. I have made them in the oven and on a charcoal grill and the smoke flavor from the grill gives it that extra "eyes roll in the back of your head" amazing flavor. Did I mention their bomb? THEIR BOMB!
I love hearing it, Cassie! Thanks for watching and thanks so much for circling back.
Nicely done. I will be making a batch of these soon!!
Awesome, Kelly! Let me know how they turn out, and if you tweak the recipe in any way.
Another great video. I love Chorizo and will be trying this.
Thanks Amigo! Let me know how it turns out or if you add any of your award winning BBQ pitmaster tweaks to it.
@@outdoorindoortexan Hell I might need to shoot you some sauce so you can try it on one of your awesome recipes.
@@SkullandMortar I'd love to check it out! Shoot me an e-mail when you get a chance. texharp@gmail.com
That is delicious looking & like chorizo spin to it! I bet that was awesome!
Thanks, bud! It disappears in record time when I make this for parties.
@@outdoorindoortexan That's awesome!
I tried this with both jalapeños and bell peppers. It was so good! I love it! Thanks for sharing.
Happy to hear it! Thanks so much for watching and then reporting back. Tell your friends! 👍🏻
Great recipe, I really like the idea of cooking and crumbling the bacon before grilling, great video 👏👏👏
Thanks so much! It was my work around to never quite liking the outcome of “bacon wrapped”. 😆
Great sharing, it’s looks good and tasty 😋
Thanks so much for watching!
these look amazing
Well thank you!
I love stuffed jalapeños!!!!!! New subscriber, loved your video.
I would have never guessed you would have used chorizo. Great idea. I normally only see them with cream cheese and cheddar cheese.
@@MrsSoniaElaine thanks so much for watching Sonia! I’ve made poppers quite a few different ways and the chorizo has definitely stood out to me as something unique and tasty.
easily my favorite new cooking channel! i found you looking for an easy hot sauce recipe, and after succeeding using some of your techniques i am a fan! i really look forward to more videos and really hope you channel catches a wave on the algorithm and gets the 1000s of subs you rightfully deserve!

Trying them today!
Great to hear, Darlene! Let me know what y’all think!
Your directions are very precise and easy to follow. Still too cold here for the grill, will cook in the oven. 🔥
Thanks so much for watching! I hope yours come out great and let me know if you have any last minute questions.
Looks good going to try them
Thanks for watching! Let me know how they turn out.
this is some of your best work, wow
Thanks so much!
Made for Halloween party, big hit. Thanks!
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for circling back.
Looks yummy
Thanks so much! They're fantastic. Let me know if you end up giving them a try.
Hell of a spin on the poppers! Looks awesome. Good touch with that ranch from the musket powder .
Thanks Mike! I know you’re a Rub Your Chub guy. (Weird sentence to type 😂 ) But Musket Powder really is something to check out!
@@outdoorindoortexan I’ll definitely give it a try. I’m sure all 3 are good. Which 1 would you recommend to start ?
@@MeatyMike That’s tough. I really like the white label now because...ranch. If not ranch though the red label is very versatile on white meats, breakfast, beers, etc.
@@outdoorindoortexan awesome good to know 😎
The black label is excellent on red meat and wild game too which comes up a lot on your videos. 🤷♂️
Also, I have to of course mention TEXAN10 for 10% off 👌🏽
Sweet!
Thanks for watching!
Delicious !!!!
Thank you!
Super video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much!
TASTY!!!!!!! 🍺🍺🍺🍺 yeah!
Thanks for watching!!
good call about placement to prevent tip overs
Thanks, bud! The wire rack is the way to go if you can fit one.
I wonder if you can freeze these for later cooking... before or after the oven???
I haven’t tried, but if I did, I’d say after the oven. Report back if you give it a go, and thank you for watching!
How are these when eaten cold ?
The issue would be texture. If you’re okay with cold mushy chorizo, then yes.
Dang this looks good!!!
What's your favorite hot sauce or dip to plunge these suckers in!?!?!?!
Oooh That’s a tough question! I’m currently using a ton of my red cayenne hot sauce and that would be perfect for these. The recipe is up on my channel if you’re looking to make it. Thanks for watching!
@@outdoorindoortexan
Just made these tonight! Delicious!
I made some homemade mango habanero salsa and put it on top of them. Totally finger lickin good!
Highly recomend a fruit based salsa for these little puppies!
Thanks for the reply! Keep a goin mano!
Love hearing it! Thanks again for watching and leaving the kind comment.
Got a bumper crop of serranos and ready to give this a try. Looks tasty.
Enjoy! Let me know how yours turn out and thanks so much for watching.
I love the bacon chopped and combined with the other Ingredients. Wrapping the bacon around the jalapeños is a little too greasy for me.
Makes sense, Denise. Even without the bacon, they’re great as is. You can also sub in Turkey bacon if you’re looking for a similar crispy outside without the grease. Thanks for watching!
Wear gloves, "pro tip" cream cheese in microwave 20 secs to soften up!
Excellent pro tips! 👍 Thanks for watching and leaving the tips!

Feel free to swap it out for ground beef 🤷♂️
