Engine start and exhaust note at 13:04 and its pretty sweet!
Thanks
It sounds like a sewing machine imho :(
Thx mate
Sounds exactly like a streety, needs a slip-on though
Thanks i came for that 👍🏻
Sounds like a Street Triple, looks great. Best out of all the presentations I've seen so far, thank you Michael
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed!
Cheers, Michael
13:05 Engine Start
Thank you for this video. Looking at doing my full licence in the new year. I've always loved the look of Triumphs but this is my new favourite!
I love how relaxing and casual yet professional this interview is. To the point, great questions and answers. Thanks guys, defiantly on next years Christmas list!
That classic 3 cylinder sound is to die for too!
Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed.
Cheers, Michael
I have to admit that I wasn't taken with the styling when I saw the plain prototypes but now there is a splash of colour I really like the looks! I'm impressed with the wet weight too and efforts to keep the seat height low and manageable too. I hope I can blag a test ride for my channel!
Ricky Tang, shouldnt you be running Hongkong Mafias ??
@@michaelruatfelaralte84 Being a hardened gangster takes it's toll so in my downtime I'm a You Tuber 🤣
@@RikkyTang i know...That Ass Jackie Chan and Chris Motor mouth Tucker are always sneaking behind you, must be tiring
Such a good looking bike, it seems to be really fun to ride it. Great video.
Never thought I would seriously look at a triumph but I'm actually going to add this to bikes I want to try out.
My first bike was a trident in the beginning of the nineties... and i am ordering this for sure
My 2nd bike was a T150V, still have it after 40 years
Thankfully they retained the iconic triumph triple whistle!! I'll buy this bike some day I hope
Nice vid & looks like a winner. Ironically it reminds me of a neo SV650 in terms of looks & profile, which oddly everyone seems to have forgotten exists when mentioning it's competitors.
Thanks! Absolutely, the Suzuki is also a rival. And the 790 Duke too, I mentioned them all in my accompanying article on BikeSocial.
Cheers for the comment, Michael
I’ve mentioned elsewhere, it just reminds me of an SV650 with better components.
@@pg1909 Yes, exactly my thoughts.
I'm glad it's now on Philippine shores... A worthy upgrade from my z650..
I'm a huge fan of the MT07 and love my Tracer 700 but this Trident is something else!! I would seriously consider having this in my garage AS WELL AS my Tracer!! Just have to convince that special lady......
Wowww looks amazing!!hello from malaysia!
I can say that if this had been available when I bought my Speed Twin I may have been faced with a dilemma! It's a stunning design - bravo Triumph.
Love it! Hoping and praying Triumph Philippines will have this Trident the SOOOOONEST! Im sure this will be a hit, affordable premium bike. Cheers Triumph!
@@BeardedBavarianBiker. True, but this is perhaps the most affordable bike in the Triumph lineup so the few that can afford it might take the Trident over, say, a Street Triple... maybe.
Sound was amazing 😍
Its nice and interesting video done by #bennetts bikes
Fantastic classic looking bike with the tech!! Love the look currently have a Yamaha tracer but would love this as a second bike!! Also agree if they make a tiger gt 650cc would sell well.
Can't wait for mine to come in!
Triumph trident has the chassics very compact is perfect for the rides.great video and great motorcycle.
What's the ground clearance on this bike?
Didn't see this spec getting mentioned anywhere yet...
That red really has it going for me
Awwwww......the signature whistling triple sound...😍😍😍😍
Are the power ratings at the crank or at the wheel?
Very interesting: if Triumph build Tiger 650 GT/Rally based on this new Trident: they would sell them like hot cakes!
This is the 3rd video am seeing this comment!
Boy u really want Triumph to notice you!!
Anyways gr8 idea
you are everywhere
Sponsored by the magic of copy & paste 😬
@@jj_infotainment They'll sell at least one of those. (see Tracer 700)
So sure, as cheaper price and supreme quality
This is exactly the bike I was looking for. A triple which is not too powerful but not too easy either. Really hope it's launched in India in Q1 next year bcoz I'd hate to settle for any other engine type.
Very nice pattern and style! Beautiful!
When I watch these videos of the new trident I notice no one mentions the SV650 which has been around much longer than the rest. Which is the most competitively priced out of them all in this segment. That said this is by far my personal favourite in terms of looks and gadgets and gizmos 👍🏻
I they're hoping people will forget about it because they can't compete anywhere near that price. The production equipment for the SV650 has been paid so long ago that no one can compete with it on price. However, the fit and finish of the SV isn't very good and the consensus is that if you try to ride aggressively it isn't as well composed as the Z650 or CB650.
@@rightwingsafetysquad9872 I like the stripped back look of the SV, simple functional motorbike and I always thought they were robustly built, I’ve never ridden one but in terms of reliability and robustness it seems to get decent reviews. I think Suzuki are extremely slow behind the pack in terms of updating bikes/market trends and I think this reflects on the price
You’re right Steve. There are several other rivals too, inc. 790 Duke and the SV but Triumph consider the Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha as their main competitors. Perhaps because they’re newer and closer in terms of spec.
Cheers, Michael
couldnt wait to get to 13.06 for the start of the bike :-p
thanks, was looking for that!
the bike looks and sounds amazing
Stunning - I hope either Triumph or Aftermarket company makes a nice little cowl in the back for a more sporty look!
can owner remove the silencer or change the exhaust?
is it slider kit ready?
I hope this will be launch here in the Philippines, perfect for us short riders
If they want to compete they should invent a new Tiger Cub!! There is a lot of fun to be had on a 250
Tiger Cub was 200 cc
I love this trident especially with that grey/red color scheme
Im getting one for sure. This blows the competition out of the water as far as styling goes.
Thank you, Michael. Looks nice ✊🏻
You're welcome, Mark. Keep your eyes peeled for the first test ride too.
Cheers, Michael
looks so much better than the triple. I hate the triples bug eye headlights with a passion.
I'm with you on that one lol
But you fancy the too-short seat, the selfie stick plate-holder and the ugly tank? Sure, the ST’s headlights are an acquired taste but apart from that.....no contest
You know what I did about the ugly lights? I swapped them out with a single headlight conversion. Crazy how that works.
Totally agree!
looks amazing
Given this is a more relaxed seating position, are there other bikes in the pipeline that would share the same seating position with bigger engines?
I'm in love with this bike.
It looks amazing
Excellent review! Bike sounds the business!
Thanks Rob, appreciate the comment. Will you be looking for a test ride?
Cheers, Michael
@@bennettsbikesocial York would be my local dealer 🤔 Yes I think I would
Yes indeed very nice review, I just love the way you keep it so simply and informative, the gentleman from triumph was so knowledgeable, he knew what was done on the bike! Kudos to you guys to get him on the channel
Can you fit a cruise control on that bike as you can do on other Triumphs?
As someone who is looking to buy my first motorbike at the tender age of 56 I am surprised that no one has compared this to the Yamaha XSR700 that I was thinking of buying? Its a similar kind of price point but looking at some of the Trident's optional extra's it seems like a better bike? I'm 6 foot tall and about 16 stone so I'm not sure if the Trident is big enough though? The XSR700 is though so I guess they will be similar? Any thoughts?
Realy nice!
Lovely looking bike. I feel Triumph have hit the sweet spot for most average riders with this one. I like all the Triumphs ive owned and being British only now see it has a brand. The flag means nothing anymore in relation to the brand. But its a bike i like and have found reliable with me. I have passed many other brands stopped and gone into limp mode at the side of the road. So im happy with this brand and feel there engineering team has raised the bar with this. But i guess the proof is in the eating.
I think it's amazing that they built an affordable bike with so many premium (looking) ingredients, and even navigation embedded into the gauge cluster!
Love it.
Love the looks apart from these new number plate extensions. Tail tidy and 3 into 1 would be my add ons.
Triumph is just awesome!
This is simply beautiful.
Great video looking forward to taking a demo out stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
Thanks Richard, yep we’re looking forward to riding it too. It’s a highly competitive market so it needs to be suitable for a range of riders.
Cheers, Michael
You mean your actually going to ride one? Everyone else can make up their mind sitting on their a.. and watching a vid haha. Have fun !
WTA nice looking bike w/such a sweeeeeeet sound!!!
It's a beautiful motorcycle, gives me crossover vibes between a BMW r nineT with a ducati monster 821 stealth. Minus the price premium with all the premium features & the benefits of a triple cilinder engine. Can't wait to get my hands on this.
yes, agree, ... exactly, a hybrid or mix of those two
Great looking bike 👍
This bike is beautiful !!!
Wow.. A great idea to capture entry level enthisiasts... A couple of points though..(from a potential Indian customer's perspective):-
1. The rear seat does not appear to be designed for a normal person, as it appears too small for a bike of this class and capability...its not always about racing..
2. Touring options would be welcome.. (along with a longer seat, company fitted optional saddle stays, top racks, centre stand, et al)..
3. What about the ground clearance of this bike?? Offering optional larger wheels could be one way of addressing it for touring or adventure options, in case the current clearance is inadequate..
Thanks for the video
Need some thing adventure model like gt rally pro definitely triumph is gonna be world's top in selling bikes ! 🤩🤓
Looks really good, they've done well. Like to ride it and see it in the flesh. I think I prefer the white one!
Love it
Love this bikes looks! As long as its priced competitively! Should be a hit
Looks nice from most angles and sounds good too. However, in my opinion the pillion seat is next to useless because they’ve pandered to the current ‘chopped off’ back end look. If they’d made it slightly longer it would be more comfortable for a passenger and be big enough for some luggage. They could also have fitted a proper rear mudguard and lighting mount instead of the almost universal and always ugly swing arm mounted number plate hanger. Having said that, I hope it sells well.
Nice point! I Agree!
So I assume with a bit of tweaing , this could put out similar power as the street triple...?
This bike has put a hold on me getting the KTM 890, I absolutely love the look of this Trident; its going to be a long 2 months.
If money is not an issue, don't even think twice to get the 890
Where is bike built?.. Thailand?
Brilliant looking bike, it needs gloss black levers to complete that paint scheme though!
I really liked the early triples 955 I was a superb engine , unfortunately I didn't think the same of the 1050 as it behaved more like a four cylinder . I expect they will be built abroad like most
those triplets!!😍😍
great bike...cant w8 to buy one
they could not have done better with looks ,i like it !
Looks great. sounds good. It depends on the quality of the budget suspension and brakes as to whether I might trade in my CB650R (I'm used to having to change gears and it's good around town despite the negative comments re torque (low geared with close ratios))- and the price of extras like quickshifter and connectivity.
Looks like it will make a fun street bike competitive pricing as well
Quiero verla pronto ... saludos a los diseñadores
PS Triumph the bike looks bloody awesome, I hope you have as much success with it as you do with all your other models.
Triumph Hinckley have produced some incredible bikes and left an amazing legacy this new Trident adds to that with a bike that looks like it can take the world by storm. The MT07 being the bike to take on this on paper seems to do it in spades. The CB/SV/Z all looking beaten and you get to own a much higher quality Triumph!
Beautiful looking bike, though eye of the beholder and all that. I had been looking at getting back into biking on my 61st in March and was considering a Z800, MT07/09, CB1000 kind of thing but nope, if I can afford it I am definitely going for this bike, just wish they did it in dark green for some reason but hey, can't have everything.
hell yeah looks amazing wanted a triumph street or speed but don't like the head lights on them i do this
How is this for luggage/touring
Awesome bike
Very nice design
Nice looking bike
Looks like a promising bike from triumph. This bike will sell quite a lot if launched in india and priced competitively
this bike but with daytona looks (mainly for the big windshield for highspeed out of wind comfort) would have been an instant buy for me.
I wish that they would put ta headlight like this one on the street triple as well. Looks so much better.
I loving this bike, I'm just a bit sad to see that there are no options for an exaust upgrade :(
Cool. How tall are you? I'm bit concerned it may be too compact for taller riders
By the looks on the thumb nail, it looks like it is a bit small for people taller than 1.80.
I'm 6ft (1.83m) - it looks pretty small but the riding position is suitable and it has an 805mm seat height and narrow waist,
Cheers, Michael
@@bennettsbikesocial Your legs space felt comfortable? Not cramped? I’m your same height
@@felipediaz7778 be good to see how cramped on the test ride for us taller folk
It's gonna be a big hit also for India its very important as people would love to own Triumphs!
@Groot's adopted brother I think this should be 7-7.5l on road, otherwise if you spend a lakh extra you will get z900 at 7.99l ex-showroom which is overall a much better bike in all aspects
@Groot's adopted brother 😄 😄
@@koh_ker i agree if it is going to be more than 7 lakhs on road than there is no point of going for it.
yes i will buy if it comes here by March 2021 but the price should not exceed 8.25 lakhs INR on road
@@chirag4 still this price is too high due to current covid situation going on. It's tough to spend approx 9 lakh on a bike because we have family and too much responsibility.
Management to engineers:
Use the 675 crankcase and otherwise just beat Yamaha.
Sounds sweet.
Unlike MT09 2021, this motorcycle is well balanced in design and mechanics / electronics.
Maybe i will buy one
Here in Mexico "Trident" is a famous brand of bubble gum, hard not to remember it 😅
But really good looking bike, great job Triumph!
This bike is gonna sell like a hot cake😍😍
pretty bike
Looks mega
What is the top speed one can expect?
Where is the bikr?
Nice looking bike I love the grey/Diablo combination and hope it does well.
Now Ive read as far as I can down the comments on here before going word-blind yet I can't see if anyone else has picked up on *THE* comment at 13:03
It has a KEY!!
Not the fashionable, over-weening technology that complicates the basic and simple function of unlocking and starting the bike. The KEY.
I'm not sure if Michael's comment of 'How fantastic' is the prospect of start up or relief that Triumph might have actually seen some common sense on the issue.
Tell you what Triumph, why not offer keyless as an option and see how many pick it, not many I'm sure.
PS. please remember this while farckling about with the much anticipated 1160 Speed. I love my 16S but couldn't be doing with the fuckity-fuc-fuc keyless fukkery of the current RS.
