Just spent a week in Madrid... wonderful. I've been to Barcelona in the past, and plan to visit Valencia next spring. I'm an American based in Albania, and Spain is becoming kind of like my "home away from home away from home". Thanks for your videos.
A wonderful recipe for the upcoming Christmas Lent. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for presenting recipes with few ingredients, easy to follow and incredibly delicious!
I am from Minnesota, USA. We have an affection for hotdish (or casserole if you're not from here). This fits that description, but it's elevated greatly. I just made it and fell in love with it. I didn't have saffron, and it was still great. Thank you for sharing. I also think the ingredients would be great to always have on hand for snowstorms, blizzards or other emergencies.
Thanks, Albert, for this tremendous recipe. I made it this afternoon, and am enjoying it along with toasted ciabatta over which I spread plant-based butter and some of the baked garlic. This recipe is going into the "keepers" file for sure.
Albert: Delicious, and *_easy_* ←(my favorite).😋 I don’t have the right pan, so I’ll have a friend make this - certainly a WILL-try. Thanks again. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
I like the Moorish tastes here so you are from Valencia please more Valencian recipes Alberto this looks like a paella with chickpeas looks more like a Moroccan dish
Does the garlic have a function in the dish, or is it a mere decoration? Is it supposed to be eaten or disposed of? BTW, I ordered Golden Safron from Albert's site, and it worked seamlessly.
Yes you add grams as well in your recipes!! I am tired and frustrated making items that don't end up tasting well because what is 1/2 an onion, or medium butternut squash, etc. No matter how enticing that instagram, tik tok, or you tube video looks if I don't see grams in the recipe, I just keep scrolling. Always looking for chick pea recipes to try so I will add this one. Not sure about raisins but it is important to try new things (in grams). Take care.
Awesome I have one of our dishes every week... But I think this calls foe a few strips of chicken breast for for me. Nom , Nom Alberto awesome as always vids Thanks.
Well, you could spread the soft garlic puree' on the rice or on your bread, filled with flavors loaded with vitamins, so good for you. Yes garlic breath follows, but who cares!
Made this tonight but had to hold on warm, wife was late. Should have saved at least a half-cup of broth to rehydrate dry rice. Otherwise, damn tasty meal served with crusty, homemade bread, and a bottle of Garnacha.
The garlic is there to flavor the rice, and yes, most people eat it, the cloves easily slip off the head of garlic into a buttery goodness :) Much love

It is there to flavor the rice while it bakes, but most everyday eats it, either with the rice or spread ever toasted baguette :) Much love
@@SpainonaFork Thank you for taking the time to reply! I appreciate that very much.
Looks delicious will definitely be making this thank you for sharing your recipe. Blessings

You never know until you try! Much love :)

Much love :)
Do you squeeze out the garlic cloves and mix them into the dish?
Or you can spread them on toasted baguette :) Much love
The garlic on top is the cat's miaow!
Absolutely! Much love :)
What do you do with the head of garlic after baking? Will the cloves easily remove from the skin after they are baked in the rice?
Well, you could spread the soft garlic puree' on the rice or on your bread, filled with flavors loaded with vitamins, so good for you. Yes garlic breath follows, but who cares!
They come out like butter, either spread over the rice or over toasted baguette, but its main purpose is to flavor the rice while it bakes :)
Made this tonight but had to hold on warm, wife was late. Should have saved at least a half-cup of broth to rehydrate dry rice. Otherwise, damn tasty meal served with crusty, homemade bread, and a bottle of Garnacha.
Sounds great! Much love :)
Looka great! Thanks 🙂 But, does one eat the garlic? Or is it just there for flavouring?
The garlic is there to flavor the rice, and yes, most people eat it, the cloves easily slip off the head of garlic into a buttery goodness :) Much love
,❤😂 the end, "this one is getting a double."
lol...Much love :)
What do you do with the garlic?
Spread it on a slice of bread
😋😋😋👍👍👍06.11.2023
Much love :)
I'm gonna try this one. Looks amazing.
Hope you enjoy! Much love :)
Why is the garlic treated this way? How do you serve it? Intriguing...
It is there to flavor the rice, then you can eat it with the rice or spread on toast :) Much love
🙏🏼
Much love :)

Oh shucks, you lost me w/ the raisins. I loathe them.
You can use dried cranberries instead :) Much love
No, sorry, not chickpeas and raisins. Usually I love your dishes, but not this time.
