Im going to be possibly shipping out late June to boot camp haven’t gone to meps yet but I was curious if there are more than one way to get to boot camp that aren’t on a plane ? Im pretty sure they only offer plane rides there but im curios if they offer train or bus rides

Going to MEPs tomorrow, do I get shipped after MEPs?
Typically you'll get a ship date after you complete everything at MEPS. Some complete everything in one day, others will go to MEPS a few trips before they finally get a ship date.
Hi Matt, I heard that MEPS ships out every 3 month. Is there any way to know when the next shipment day will be? Hopefully there will be a shipment this month, I do not want to wait 3 month for that. Is there any way to find out about the next shipment day? Thanks
MEPS ships out applicant's every Monday and Tuesday. Dependent on your contract you signed with your individual service will depend on when you leave. I had to wait 8 months to ship out after everything at MEPS had been complete.
My ship date is December 7 2023

@@TacticalYardie you can talk to your recruiter and talk to them so they can do a request and send it so it can get approved just let them know that you would like to leave earlier and if they have the space and room for you they should get approved and you should be able to ship out earlier
Wait if I’m not mistaken, I thought people said instead of shipping your stuff, they keep it locked up somewhere at boot camp
If you go Air Force that is exactly what they do. You are only allowed though to take 3 bags to tech school two of those bags are issued at Air Force Basic Training.

@@owensmatteven for army ? Because I was told by one of the recruiters it’s only for meps they tape you, and farther into basic they tape you again, I don’t want to risk it so I’m debating fasting.

No, if you have full functionality of your hand that shouldn’t affect anything
Will they care if i got a small cut on my thumb?
Depends the size of "small" the day you ship out. Technically it's considered an open wound and should hold you from shipping until it is fully healed.

Can you pick your shipdate?
Typically you go with the ship date the service gives. There are times you can request to push that date and other times that date may change and you ship out sooner than expected. It depends on the needs of the service

So when you went to MEPS how long was the ASVAB testing was it like 10 hours ?
What would you recommend before going to MEPS because I’m planning to go in the Military myself like the Navy and the job I want is Special Operation/Special Warfare (SEALS)
So how long would you recommend to study on the ASVAB?
Or do you just rush to take the ASVAB test at MEPS or do you recommend to study more

And when it comes to Medical 🏥 what if we have a note from a doctor saying he or she is all clear to go to training will that be allowed to bring at MEPS (Military Entrance processing station)
So will a note be okay to bring to MEPS as a note 📝 saying that you are clear to do training
Because I want to do Special Operation/Special Warfare (SEALS)
And so will you guys be looking for other stuff as well because I don’t do illegal drugs and no criminal history plus I’m a son of a former DEA agent
So would it be okay to bring a note by a doctor saying that he’s all clear his weight is good and he has no more of this or that and he’s all set
The ASVAB takes about 3 hours to finish give or take 15 minutes, you can do it at an ASVAB station near your home or at MEPS, your recruiter will let you know. When you go through MEPS they won't care if you're a relative of anything, they would take blood samples, urine samples, weight, breathalyzer, eye test, and will make you read a short story out loud for speech impediments. The doctor will check over your body and do little body movements, after that you'll get undressed and check over once more. The doctor will then pull your medical records and if anything pops up that you have not told your recruiter, they will require you go get a waiver depending on how bad the history is. *I told my doctor I was going to the Air Force and he wrote in the notes that my medical checkup be disregarded, which is how I avoided having to get a waiver* as far as weight goes, if you're overweight they will disqualify you, if you're underweight they will give extra rations.
