@@ScarryHarry93 The beginner challange is to learn the physics and durability of different material. it actually matters, which is pretty great. there are some pretty good videoes on RUclips on those aspects. When you get a hang of that its only your creativity that makes the limits
I'm gonna try to build this in my survival world, wish me luck 🤞 Edit: - I dug deeper into the ground for a higher ceiling basement, required more iron bars to stabilise the stone structures - i used core wood pillars instead of normal wood pillars for most of the layout, don't recommend it, snapping is kinda weird, needed some adjustments here and there. - stairs not covered by the roof will have weather damage, I may (?) change them to stone stairs after finishing the build to see if it looks better Edit 2: I finished it! - taller ceiling for basement works great for putting smelters and stuff without getting smoked - no way to fix the wood decay, so I just ended up using stone stairs instead - used stone paths for the wooden floors outside of the house. 10/10 build, bare minimum amount of iron used to keep the house stable. I just used more because I changed parts of the house a bit. Definitely possible in survival!
If you want wooden stairs you can put a little roof on top of it for it to stay intact. 🤙🤝 I always do this because I like the design and it blends really nice with other types of wood
One of my fave parts about watching your vids, is the sound track. The final acoustic track in this build sounds a lot like Trace Bundy. Peaceful, and the build are incredible!

I havnt yet watched this because I'm walking my dog and valheim is for the late night. But I do wanna say, I've got a few hundred hours so far and I've yet to see such a perfect build spot. Meadows/plains flat land, wild! Got forbid if there was a swamp a simple build path away lol
Thats a really nice build! It would be quite a challenge to do it in survival mode for the amount of material needed, but its very tasteful and practical, diggin' it!
It took me 41 hours to get the materials and to build it, I didn’t even do any inside work yet. But those 41 hours also had the construction of the AFK wood and stone farm and the classic tree domino farm lol

1:22 Just a quick note, I did something similar (compound where zones change.) I'd have used all this stone to raise the land, instead, as attackers can't damage land but can damage these stone floor tiles even though they're thick and layered. I wound up with a house on a little sort of plateau.

God damn. I picked up Valheim when it was in its first version. Played it for a few weeks, then put it down to wait and see how the game develops. Then this hit my algorithm for some reason, and holy. This is outstanding. Gonna have to dive back into the game again.

Slow the video way down and do a lot of pausing and counting. I had to start using the creators character for deminisional size when watching videos. On my throwaway build server I have idk, an entire storehouse in each build spot simply for the deconstruct mats I got back in creative mode. My OCD couldn't leave them on the ground smh.
@@anthonyzullo that's actually what I'd often do if the creators don't include the measurements. I would sometimes just download the builds but there's something special about building it on your own. Like completing a lego set or something similar!
@@mikojYT ayo, that's the exact mindset I have. I'm not visually creative so if I build something I like, it's like learning how to do it elsewhere. Or adding ways. Basically by time I'm done with 90% of the build, like the skeleton etc, I just start doing my own thing once the function fits. I needed 1 more building for a farmhouse in my completely empty and unfurnished first base on a seed I havnt explored. Finally downloaded and fixed all the mods I want to play through, configured them all to my liking and am about to start a fresh toon and play through the end viomes. The furthest I got on survival was iron so everything will be basically as fresh as possible. This is the last building before I start recording day1 tomorrow. Gonna be super fun! For 20$ this is worth every penny. It's hard to justify buying games now. I rate games based off hours played and I'm at 500 hours and idk what tf mistlands are
Beautiful build! It looks very genuine and lived-in. Great work. Sadly, I fear the "fully functional" in the title is a bit misleading though. Even ignoring the lack of organized storage (I guess I could work with all those scattered chests, lol) the smelters and kilns would smoke themselves out and work at a very low efficiency. You'd need a much higher ceiling for that to work, or even some venting. Looks great though!
I think the interior deco is up to you so you don't HAVE to put the smelters and stuff in there. That's probably why the creator didn't continue showing the time-lapse of the decoration part.

Fun survival tip for builds: If you have a raised foundation like the one in the video, use ladders to make your staircase leading into the base. Ladders act as a 45 degree staircase that you can use even when carrying too much, and enemies have no idea have to walk up them. I like to do this instead of having a front door to open/close all the time.
Trolls will break whatever they beat on. Perimeters and moats. It looks nice. But slap a moat and exterior wall on that puppy and you've got not only stylish but also protected. And thick enough to withstand any raid. New perma house in my eyes.
I really wish you had time in the video to show a more methodical view of the inside area but I understand how much more work that would have been. Awesome build; I'm currently working on recreating it myself right now, just finished the main structure and working on all the functional / decoration parts. Thanks for the video.
@@oswaltcabral It went pretty well. The structure and outside were pretty straight forward to follow along with - had to take some liberties for structural integrity though. The inside is I had to wing a bunch but I think it's reasonably close and I'm happy with how it turned out. Took sooooo much supplies to make though lol.

I made a really nice house with ocean view and patio and security wall and boat dock. It takes a lot of time to do it right. Your house looks amazing and very well done! I can't wait till we get the new hearth and home update and see what new building materials we get with the update and what we can do. I'm really hoping we get new roofing materials like architectural shingles or something.
Really inspiring work you have completed there. Reminds me not of my own constructs but those of friends on their servers. Greyhawk_DD and UDirtyRats_DD they both have the same vision as you do. My constructs are purely utilitarian. Most of my builds are either on top of mountains above the reach of Golems or are in the area of the Black Forest by the Plains on top of rock platforms to protect them from the area monsters. Bravo on your works!

Definitely want to build this. But I'm cutting out half that stone for ground raising. An exterior is enough for aesthetic that is a LOT of stone and metals to grind
@@BelegornHK I found roughly the same location on my map while looking for another swamp (got only 2 goddamn chains out of 4 sunken crypts) - a roughly flat land between meadows and plains. Bonus is having a natural harbor literally 30m behind the house (on meadows side) and a goblin camp about 100m out (already collected a ton of scrap metal from random attacks during the building - one time it even spawned like 7 trolls and 3 loxes - lucky me the started tearing each other lol). The good news ends there. Over the last 3 days I've wasted THOUSANDS of stone, wood and hundreds of fine wood and iron... to finally notice this house IS NOT FUNCTIONAL unlike what they claim (should've checked the video more thoroughly). Highest level workbench is like level 3 or 4 (idk, only in iron age so far), smelters and kilns have no ventilation (tho some ppl claim they don't need it). The bedroom in the preview is too far from the fire to sleep in, and the fireplace is too deep set and too big to actually roast any meat in it (unless you set your pickup range to like, 5-6m in ValheimPlus). The placement of blast furnaces and stuff is anyone's guess as they are only visible in a black&white closeup shot over like, 3 seconds (along with some bench upgrades as well so I can only guess it's behind the house, the side that's not shown in the video properly) So while I'm mostly finished building (except the basement level, the attic and the surrounding area), so maybe, MAYBE if I deduce shit properly it MIGHT work. Still gotta fix the fireplace to make it usable and one bedroom is unusable thanks to being too far from fireplace. and gotta farm more copper (this thing has a LOT of torch holders) and HEAPS more fine wood to finish this. That being said I'm cheating with ValheimPlus quite a lot, otherwise it would make me gray haired to build this all in survival mode solo.
I really hope to be this good with my building some day. Picked the game up a month ago and havent been able to put it down. I'm so engrossed in the building that I havent even made a stone cutter yet 😂😂😂

You gotta use the Valheim World Generator to find the perfect seed. And I've seen better / more aesthetic build spots.

I did a series of “land islands” with moats. Broke it up into 3 areas to better defend it.

The placement of blast furnaces and stuff is anyone's guess as they are only visible in a black&white closeup shot over like, 3 seconds (along with some bench upgrades as well so I can only guess it's behind the house, the side that's not shown in the video properly)
So while I'm mostly finished building (except the basement level, the attic and the surrounding area), so maybe, MAYBE if I deduce shit properly it MIGHT work. Still gotta fix the fireplace to make it usable and one bedroom is unusable thanks to being too far from fireplace. and gotta farm more copper (this thing has a LOT of torch holders) and HEAPS more fine wood to finish this.
That being said I'm cheating with ValheimPlus quite a lot, otherwise it would make me gray haired to build this all in survival mode solo.
I really hope to be this good with my building some day. Picked the game up a month ago and havent been able to put it down. I'm so engrossed in the building that I havent even made a stone cutter yet 😂😂😂
