@@azzie4437 it was still built even if they didn't chop the lumber. I like these videos as it shows some fresh building techniques and ideas. Chill buddy it's just a game.
My son and I are playing and built this the other day. It is an amazing creation and a perfect house for both beauty and functionality. We use the plant everything mod and decked it out with plants and glow-in-the dark vegetation. It looks amazing.
as a man who does this as a job, i can tell you've worked in gardening/landscaping before. making garden beds with the edge around the trees and everything. nice job looks great!
I mean there's public servers with people having built lots of impressive stuff on them. You could always join a couple of those to look at impressive stuff... Just don't expect to actually play the progression game there though, it's mostly for creative building and social stuff from what I've seen (since lots of people cheat in items and fly around).
Thats kind of what Pax Dei aspires to be one day. The building and land system are already there and world seem to handle it well. Combat is still almost non-existant in the beta tho.
Your builds are so impressive! So far I've built the Plains Longhouse Build, Large Forest Inn, and Blacksmith's House from your channel. Thinking this is going to be the next one! Everyone's always so impressed so I refer them to your channel :) Can't wait to see what you dream up next!
Well this build will be having its own take by me on my server for sure. Your builds are amazing and I've taken loads of the frameworks/styles of your builds. Keep up the great work.
Amazing build! One question with the smelters. How did you manage to squeeze them into such a tight spot? I was able to place them, but then I cant get the walls and such around them, seems the smelters are too big.
The world has a grid, and if you work in line with the grid it can fit just so. It might take you a couple tries to get it right. It sometimes helps to build the one wall and place the smelter tight to it.
@@cordysgleghorn5773 what was your solution to the smoke in the basement for the kilns? I made like. A makeshift funnel to chimney to the side of the house 🤣
Those sloped roof openings made me fold my hands with satisfaction, an absolutely genius use of preexisting geometry in the build. Take my subscription, take it!
I’m curious as to how you manage stability, do you just have poles poking horizontally out into the ground once you reach ground level so the above ground sections draw stability from that? You also use poles as foundation and put floors on top, does that reduce stability by one as the walls are on top of the poles instead of the floor or does it bypass through a hidden mechanic?
I appreciate that you showed us step by step how to do this. I'm trying to become a better builder in Valheim, so watching this and getting some ideas is really helpful. Only thing I would personally add to this is a hole to throw ore down into. You can collect it when you get to the basement and throw it into the smelters, rather than having to go up and down the stairs.
been playin valheim solo since i got it haha didnt realize there could be this level of creativity. anyone down to play sometime? still pretty new to it.
Also restricted self to “local” materials. The regular 2-meter beams & thatched roofs of Meadows trees. Corewood from the Black Forest allows 4-meter beams, but no. Exception: need surtling cores from Swamps from Surtling spawners. Although I have a chest full from surtling raids and VikingNPC ship raids… still in BF.
I noticed so many of these Valhiem videos are dated 1 year ago, I purchased that game and got about 30 hours of playtime, it will probably be something I go back to eventually but it didn't live up the the hype I expected
It's because of lack of updates from the dev team, there was a pretty large road map but we haven't had any notable expansion to the game since launch. Everyone is waiting for them to release Mistlands and hoping it will be good
Fantasric works and I love the background music. If you can mark the size of the foundation, maybe better... I try to stop the video and count the size that I need^^, thanks.
your videos are simply stunning! everything is so well thought out and yet looks like it was done on the side - wonderfully decorated and absolutely coherent! and the music is also a blast! great!!!
looks great, until you realize all those wood beams not covered with continue to break and look bad if you use this out of creative mode. Don't get me wrong though. Its an amazing build with a lot of work put into it.
I like your building Style. I watched now a few Videos from you and every single time I am impressed. Keep on going like this. Great and amazing Work, Dude.
Like and subscribe for your such hard work, nice to see this, I am new in this game, you are my inspiration to make such dream house.🥰 Always be happy dude, be safe.
I really hope eventually they increase the depth you can dig and make it so you can ACTUALLY dig underground cause building a base in side of a mountain in this game I feel would be so much more satisfying and epic than anything in mine craft. I saw a build someone did under a huge rock in a hill and it was the most epic cave base I seen
i was looking for ideas to change my main base as I've just beaten Moder and in that in between phase of sailing iron back and moving to the plains. This is perfect, as i want to tidy up my smelting house and use core/stone on an extension
I just wanna say, without building and being super creative. Valheim gets SOOOOOO boring. I stopped playing for a while before picking up building, now I have close to 400-500 hours :D
Omg no....Shit...I literally spent hours building the upper construction and when i started digging there was water literally after 2nd dig. I tried to find elevated area before building coz i knew about this but i forgot to check before constructing....aghhhh...now what
Nice, but not worth it... Trust me, you never want to do smelting underground. Have forges etc as close to your docks as possible. Working with so many forges and moving lots of mats makes you overcumbered most of the time. Moving mats over stairs will get irritating very fast... Make all workstations and forges in the reach of the chests you will use for mats (from both sides)... Nice base, but not usefull for actual play.
This is a really great build, thanks a lot. I followed along and built something similar but then I ran into a slight problem: There is no ventilation underground for the kilns ;( how did you circumvent this issue?
At about the half way point, something really tripped me up... when did you lower the back part of the exterior of the house? Also when did you build the additional stone flooring on either side of the exterior?? Seems like there's some stuff missing from this.
I don't know how it goes so smoothly when you hollow out the space for the smelters. All that stone above it starts breaking for me. Either stone is close enough to the building that it creeps into the walls downstairs, or the stone platform above can't be supported. Gonna have an aneurysm. Beautiful build nonetheless, just needed to vent about it.
I have near 300h on valheim i have plan change my base third time hehe i was first have everything with wood(6k woods) in second time with stone i make very huge castle but now i think i can make it better i will just plan to destroy all this castle so it will just cost like 15k stone bruh i want make it better and looks more pretty
I enjoy valheim cause it's like minecraft but with reality added to it and also keeping its creative aspect. They both inspire you to build and build, but valheim has physics which it makes it annoying but alot more fun. Also just hearing about an underground smelting area makes me want to do it to my own house lol
Can you pretty please build something on the best world seed kh643a5C2k - this seed has a maypole surrounded by mountains and meadows and black forests to the north inc swamps - one of the best I have seen. Thank you for the great videos
You have some pretty good detail work and you production quality is very nice. Digging the basement first then aligning your house to the world grid would be sweet. Keep it up!
Honest question: is there any point or benifit to this? My house is basically a box with a bed, stuff to craf, and storage With an add on that serves as our teleport room. I assume this is just sort of for the fun of doing it?
Wanted to try this but doesnt realy work on hills Or near water ;-; Started digging down got to the right level but then theres just a huge slant in the ground from the bottom to about 2 walls up that cannot be broken ;-;
Very nice build! Quite a few interesting ideas. It'd be nice to see how you'd adjust the build with the new H&H update (eg: kilns now need ventilation, roofing tiles, dark wood beams, etc.).
I did this next to water -_-
Sad 😢
Another impressive build!
beautifully built. aproved by this fennoscandian axe swinger :-)
WOW
Do those decorative beam on the roof (9:52) & (10:58) not get damaged by rain?
How hard is the editing to remove all the portions containing the building menus ?
These videos inspired me to build better bases and now I'm 100x more addicted to Valheim
same here! game's crack!
With the price of lumber what it is these days it's nice to see no expense spared in this build. Epic work on this one!

don't all of your outside wood pieces get rotten?
whats sad is that most of the timber outside will get moldy after rain and its so annoying to repair them over and over again
My only problem is that the stairs rot in the rain and it can be annoying trying to repair every set that isn’t covered by a roof.
I swapped it with stone stairs
