You're functionally invincible, incredibly fast (only -1%) and have damage for days. Fenris armor in 5th seems kinda weird, as you said the armor falls off quite fast after the mountains and even as a self nominated really good played id never use it past the plains, its fun and a great armor set for sure but top 5 just seems overkill.
I dunno where all that stuff should fit in...sure?! If I look at just what has changed my gameplay or is a gamechanger in a more or less timely fashion, then the root harnesk and fenris coat have to be in my top 5. The berserkir axes are great but not as good as one thinks; like the polearm, they will let one down in the super clutch, where any of the foes in a group can lay down a can of whoopass. That's because the axes have that half or third of second animation delay at the end of an attack sequence where the player is pretty much helpless unless one has thunder or root on them and it happens to take effect. I'd put both the thunder ripper and Dundr ahead of the axes, though it does take a high skill in each to get the effect I'm talking about. The thunder berserkirs will work all day against a full village of fulings to awesome effect.

No root fang mention? The fact that this thing is a bow that can completely stop an enemy’s movement is crazy. If you’re on low health and are retreating to a better position, that thing will save your life by forcing some enemies to stay behind long enough for you to get an advantage.
Furthermore it completely shuts down big enemies like Morgens, not that they’re too difficult anyway given they can be stunlocked by parrying, but if you can’t risk it, there’s your weapon.
@@SpazzyjonesGaming ah that's true... I don't wear helmets as often. Sure for the boss fights. And depending on the helmet I have. Some just look stupid... Stagbreaker should be higher. Amazing in dungeons and can break hidden chests and find silver before getting wishbone (early Frostner baby) frostner is really good against seekers, parry + heavy attack sends them far back and slows them down
I'm playing Valheim since 2021 and this is list is really good. What shame you probably need to include some new items from the latest Bog Witch update ;-)
The hoe is too low on your list should be minimum top 5! you can craft it right at the beginning of the game and it makes the best base defenses in the game as well as making the swamp far more simple!
3:13 Stagbreaker also can be used to find silver veins in the mountains without the need to defeat Bonemass. Skipping Bonemass keeps several nasty raid events disabled too.
Where my Surtling trophy at, it's free infinite light. Kind of, doesn't give off much light but it glows in the dark, never goes out. Use it to make beacons in the sea.
Just wondering... how are these items "broken"? Looks to me like a list of beneficial items. Broken would infer that they are not working as intended. Many of these items do exactly what they're supposed to do!
staff of protection - give you a fixed amount of shield so it should be your +hp, but it can block 500dmg having only 1 shield health remaining. isnt it broken?)) with others i agree
Not having the Hammer or Eikthyr trophy on the list pretty much illegitimizes the whole thing, but anyone asked for their top 40 items would have most of these. Staff of Prot is way too high, even laughably talked as a potential #1......those are some true baddies that need it that much. Tasty mead as the top mead is another ridiculous point. IMO, some of these noobs with only a 1000 hours in game could have done just as well.
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Anyone bad enough to think Staff of Prot is that important as well as Tasty Mead is gonna have that view. It definitely tracks. Scrub list made by a scrub player.....one that thinks he's good because he makes videos.
Personally I would put Hammers and hoe at #1 and portals at #2. If the game didn't have either of those items I wouldn't play the game. Any game with big open world maps have to have fast travel.
Sorry, but the list is wrong, obviously the most useful item/ability in the game is The Elder's forsaken power But really tho, I can't really say I disagree with anything I wish Yagluth's forsaken power was good enough to make the list, but the elemental resist potions kinda make it obselete
For me the difference I considered was how soon you get bonemass compared to the staff of protection so it can be used in more biomes. Plus, it' can be used in both magic and melee play styles. But yeah, there is a really good argument for the staff of protection being 1
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Reasonable, I didn’t really consider accessibility/how early you get it which you do, but considering that extra criteria, yea I’d prob put it at 1 too
And the Wisplight is the single most memed on accessory in the game, basically everyone complains about its functionality. It doesn't belong on this list. This video is wack. Also, using anything but a buckler unless you're in a boss fight is stupid.
The 2 most OP items, can only be obtained through console commands. Im reffering to the cheatsword and the cheat sledge. Cheat sledge being the strongest. You can demolish ores and stone with a single swing, making pick axe obsolete. One hit most bosses etc.
whats the purpose of running faster with fenris armor in ashlands if you will get like 100 more damage from the enemies. Overrated armor. Same thoughts about the root harnesk but at least it really makes you stay alive from deathsquitos
@@SpazzyjonesGaming I think its the title vs the items listed that makes it appear that way. Many items you listed are just core progression items, such as the frost meads, wisp light, finewood bow, etc; which are not in context of the game tier powerful (per title) or OP (per thumbnail), so it gives off the impression of trying to boost the video length. That coupled with a few repeated phrases like "stick around for the next X" adds to that impression. I'm here to hear your opinion/ for the countdown because I like these type of videos so no need to request I stick around. Not really trying to fault you, its a well executed video (and mad props for time stamping everything) but it comes across like you were trying to stuff a bit more in here and there to do what youtube wants you to. No root fang mention? The fact that this thing is a bow that can completely stop an enemy’s movement is crazy. If you’re on low health and are retreating to a better position, that thing will save your life by forcing some enemies to stay behind long enough for you to get an advantage.
its a great weapon! no argument from me here
Furthermore it completely shuts down big enemies like Morgens, not that they’re too difficult anyway given they can be stunlocked by parrying, but if you can’t risk it, there’s your weapon.
Best valheim channel ❤
thanks monkey!
Did I miss the Dverger Circlet or is it really not on the list?
its not there! I always prefer the belt. if you could wear both, Id be more of a fan
@@SpazzyjonesGaming but you can... Or did they change that?!
@@GiaGwendoline sorry i am being dumb. it replaces your helmet!
@@SpazzyjonesGaming ah that's true... I don't wear helmets as often. Sure for the boss fights. And depending on the helmet I have. Some just look stupid... (Yeah, I should probably overthink my priorities here, for games and irl 😅) but I love the dverger circlet especially for burial chambers and stuff like that
I think askvin cloack should be higher post-rework, not as fun to use use but better overall
True. The rework made it even better imo
SPAZZY YOUR LIST IS SO GOOD WELL DONE
somebody at last! thank you!
Stagbreaker should be higher. Amazing in dungeons and can break hidden chests and find silver before getting wishbone (early Frostner baby) frostner is really good against seekers, parry + heavy attack sends them far back and slows them down
thats fair. Im not the biggest fan of them but I can appreciate their benefits
Amazing rankings bonemass is peak without match
heck ya! glad you agree
wow, i never seen ashen cape entirely, so beautiful... hey, im at mistlands now.
its a really nice lookin one. Oh you'll be in the ashlands soon enough!
@@SpazzyjonesGaming yes
The ashlands is pretty intense. It often feels like running Diablo dungeons with all the mobs.
@@Grymdrache ye i know, i visited there before
I'm playing Valheim since 2021 and this is list is really good.
What shame you probably need to include some new items from the latest Bog Witch update ;-)
Oh yeah this list needs a revamp now
Such a great video! Amazing job! I learned so much!
Im glad you enjoyed it!
The hoe is too low on your list should be minimum top 5! you can craft it right at the beginning of the game and it makes the best base defenses in the game as well as making the swamp far more simple!
I respect it. The how is incredible
wait for #16 how do u get staff of the wild early game? (Im in plains satge rn)
you won't be able to get it until the ashlands
Bonemass definitely goated! I carry it even with my magic builds
100%! its untouchable
3:13 Stagbreaker also can be used to find silver veins in the mountains without the need to defeat Bonemass. Skipping Bonemass keeps several nasty raid events disabled too.
Sure can. Another feather in the cap of the stagbreaker!
Testing.
Thanks Keith! You beautiful man
thank you for this video
You're welcome!
I would rank the map as #1 after playing hardcore
haha fair point
Where my Surtling trophy at, it's free infinite light. Kind of, doesn't give off much light but it glows in the dark, never goes out. Use it to make beacons in the sea.
trueee. theres a few 'permanent' light sources that are pretty solid
Brenna trophy works in the same way but looks cooler. And for beacons I use wisp torches.
SUMMONS?! THERE'S SUMMONS?! I CAN BE A NECROMANCER?!
oh hell ya!
@@SpazzyjonesGaming The Cath of Elysium shall sweep the lands once more!
Just wondering... how are these items "broken"? Looks to me like a list of beneficial items. Broken would infer that they are not working as intended. Many of these items do exactly what they're supposed to do!
"Broken" in the sense of overpowered or best. Its big time hyperbole!
staff of protection - give you a fixed amount of shield so it should be your +hp, but it can block 500dmg having only 1 shield health remaining. isnt it broken?)) with others i agree
Mod reviews when?
hahah hopefully not too far away
Wisp kinda useless you can go into the mist in mountains gear and be fine same with plains gear and a longship in Ashland
I can respect that
Finally! someone else who call chitin as "kaitin" and not as "shitin".
Hahah I used to get it wrong but so many people corrected me. I have learned the correct pronunciation
How is the trollstav not even on this list
i don't think its all that good personally
merci pour tout ces conseils! un petit bonjour de france .bonne continuation
Je vous en prie
Can we get an honorable mention to the cultivator?
I can respect the cultivator!
The hammer I agree with. The rest you're just flat wrong
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Anyone bad enough to think Staff of Prot is that important as well as Tasty Mead is gonna have that view. It definitely tracks. Scrub list made by a scrub player.....one that thinks he's good because he makes videos.
@@TheGolferguy71 🤣
No frozen arrows?
Good one. Those have an argument to be in the list
i have 700 hours in valheim, and i agree with this great vid
thanks brother! proud to hear a veteran like yourself agrees!
Personally I would put Hammers and hoe at #1 and portals at #2. If the game didn't have either of those items I wouldn't play the game. Any game with big open world maps have to have fast travel.
I definitely should have had the hammer on my list. 🤦
Fenris armor is WAY over rated...
I just love the speed it provides
Can you do a 100 days in valheim
I definitely plan on it ! :)
Skol and Hati should be in this video they are really fast a has high damage
there is a great argument for the skoll and hati for sure
Sorry, but the list is wrong, obviously the most useful item/ability in the game is The Elder's forsaken power
But really tho, I can't really say I disagree with anything
I wish Yagluth's forsaken power was good enough to make the list, but the elemental resist potions kinda make it obselete
i know right. Potions just eliminate Yags power
Staff of protection not being #1 is laughable tbh, it's legit a better vesion of bonemass power, which is your rank 1
For me the difference I considered was how soon you get bonemass compared to the staff of protection so it can be used in more biomes. Plus, it' can be used in both magic and melee play styles.
But yeah, there is a really good argument for the staff of protection being 1
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Reasonable, I didn’t really consider accessibility/how early you get it which you do, but considering that extra criteria, yea I’d prob put it at 1 too
@@Scales1364 so many good items at the top. You can pretty easily juggle them around in a different order I think
@@SpazzyjonesGaming for sure
Staff of Prot even making the top 20 is laughable, doesn't belong anywhere near the top.
I thought hammer would be the number 1
Yeah a few people have said that. I think it's completely fair
Attack the D point
huh?
why its not hammer? without hammer u cant play expect other items.
i should have included it. mistake on my part
And the Wisplight is the single most memed on accessory in the game, basically everyone complains about its functionality. It doesn't belong on this list. This video is wack. Also, using anything but a buckler unless you're in a boss fight is stupid.
My list is undefeated
u wrong.
the best item in the game is the hammer allowing u to build.
Yeah a couple people mentioned that. If I had my time. Back I would have included it
The 2 most OP items, can only be obtained through console commands.
Im reffering to the cheatsword and the cheat sledge. Cheat sledge being the strongest.
You can demolish ores and stone with a single swing, making pick axe obsolete. One hit most bosses etc.
yeah you're aren't wrong about that
omg why you call it FODDER. its FAY-DER.
i do it to make you mad
whats the purpose of running faster with fenris armor in ashlands if you will get like 100 more damage from the enemies. Overrated armor. Same thoughts about the root harnesk but at least it really makes you stay alive from deathsquitos
It's just fun being faster. Simple as that
Root Harnesk over rated? Tell me you're super noob to Valheim, without telling me you're super noob.
@@TheGolferguy71 insane take. Root harnesk is incredible
@@SpazzyjonesGaming You're even more stupid than you sound....learn to read kid.
5, 3, 2, 1 best but 4 no just no
Fair enough
Cart op
cart is great
Uh sorry buddy you're wrong; The mask provides more poison resistance than the mead.
What. It 100% does not
💯
thank you!
Oh, wow! Warthunder! The game that still sponsoring the war in Ukraine and supports russia. Awesome ad man!
please provide some sources of your info
U know that wartunder is a russian game? Or u doesnt care?
I did not know but I also don't think the developers of war thunder chose to invade Ukraine
Practically a masterclass in RUclips forcing content creators to needlessly fluff content. Sorry man
How am I fluffing content? Seriously curious 🧐
Or maybe you just had to do a lot of cuts for a video with 40 items and repeated a few phrases without noticing and I got nitpicky.
@@blamsw3783 that's fair. I actually changed the title and am trying a different thumbnail too because I think you're correct in your feedback.
Fair on the stick around for X bit too. Probably overkill. Thanks for the feedback friend!
First?
Yep! You earned it!
Everything you shot with the upgraded bow did not travel in a straight line gravity affected it and you got lucky on those shots you hit them at their feet😂
still hit'em!
I think devs should create a carts for ridable tamed creatures! Come on, it's so obvious. Just do it.
Carying the ores will be so much easier...
So good! Lox pulling a car. Amazing
