Was out on Sanborn on Sunday getting a load of milk. Out around Alaina, they’ve got water standing everywhere. Our rains have been perfect. Every bit of it soaks in. Tile lines are running again.
We haven’t turned a wheel up here in Fayette County. I have logged off all my dead ash trees. They are all cut down, cut up, drug up and piled. They are piled where I have to come through the neighbors field. When it drops enough, the field cultivator will most likely be following the truck across the field on his last load,
Haven’t drank a 40 since 93 -94 when I was in high school. King Cobra malt liquor I think it was tasted like 💩 but made us feel right for a few bucks. I’ve not been able to plant for 9 days. Rain all this week too.
I can't remember the last time I had one but given the current weather here I'm about ready to start again lol. The last day in the video was 4-25 and that was the last time it was fit to even walk in the field. Currently getting another heavy rainstorm they say could give us another 2+ inches 🙄
I’ve finally learned to park 24hrs infront of a rain with the planter and go do something else… course I’ve started doing more tillage too. Wish I had a 40A field my biggest is 16A
Id say the average for me is around 50. Biggest is 123 which is nice at times but when ripping your ready for different scenery when you get done lol. The small fields I have seem like they take about twice as long to do as they should. I drive 9 miles to do a 7.5 acre piece in town that most years isn't worth it
Yeah, pounding is occuring with rain which doesnt bother me a bit as its still early in the year. Rain days allows me to work on stuff I didnt get to this winter which is fixing stuff on the snowmobiles that I neglected to fix. So if we get a may snowstorm I guess I am ready.
It's definitely early yet but I know how this will end up with what I have planted if it doest stop soon. 2013 we didn't turn a wheel for 5 weeks and I was still replanting corn july 3rd. Poor crop and poor price. That year ultimately took a couple guys under in my area
You've got auto-steer...drink away!!!! We've barely turned a wheel in our area of the country. Light fitting and fertilizer application. Glad you got your 9200 back...any story to it?
Lol, my uncle used to do that quite often without autosteer..even hauling wagons to the elevator 🤦♂️. We are a swamp now with more rain on the way. No real new story on it, I'm kinda waiting to get the bill before I do a video about it
April 25 th was the last day we were in the field. Another big rain coming tonight and another Wednesday. Gonna be alot of replanting whenever it dries up I'm afraid.
That was the beginning. I've got some better footage as to how we went from wet to wetter for the next video. We've got alot of ponds yet and talking 2 inches for tomorrow night and another half inch for Wednesday and another chance Thursday. Gonna be an interesting year at this rate. I'm glad it can rain again but I wish it'd spread it out a little better lol

Do you mean algona? I'm north of cylinder. I'm assuming you were on hwy 18 if you were going to sanborn?

I have 6 ash trees that are dying from the top down, so I'm afraid it's only a matter of time now before they all die off

@@iafarmer I finally graduated to Coors light. 16 oz cans
I think this lines up with all the fog we had
It's been awhile since we had any fog, so is that a sign of what we've got ahead of us for the summer?
They're kind of talking about a hot dry summer but they also didn't mention a wet April so

@@iafarmeryeah but all your rain is helping the grain prices 🤦♂️🤣 sorry AJ 🤷♂️
@@iafarmer😂. I know a few neighbors who operate like that! Hope they treat you right.
We finally got fertilizer spread but to wet to do anything again.
Seems to be a theme across the country this year. It's nice to know it can rain again, but itd sure be nice to get our work done
You got some big fields. I hope the rain didn’t mess you up .

I was really starting to enjoy the video……then……… you had to show the freaking monsoon…

@@iafarmer Most likely it will just turn off after Memorial Day and won’t see a decent rain until Labor Day.
@@onehappyfarmer3461what an optimistic bunch you two are 🤦♂️🤷♂️ at least the market is going up 😎
