Andy your videos are awesome and very informative! I watch video after video. Thanks for all you do on helping us become better at such a wonderful hobby.
YOU ROCK ANDY!! Thanks for the info and demo on these new supplies. Have fun!
Outstanding reviews I'm loving that decal solution!!
I really like the mix of product reviews/demos and builds you've been doing. These are great and are giving me all sorts of ideas for things to try myself. Keep up the great work!
ANDY! Your videos are going to cost me a fortune. I want to buy everything you show!
Great video! This is exactly what I was looking for. Great explanations and demos with these new products.
well done tamiya , great products . nice review Andy , I look forward to seeing them on the next project ; )
Thanks Andy, once again great video and always inspiring
Thanks for the great review Andy and thanks for responding to my question about the camo on the Krup, it makes perfect sense to me. Have a great day!
Best hobby channel on RUclips I enjoy the videos very much, bloody addictive hobby.
Thank you for the sneak peek, Andy. Those products do look quite cool. I have seen a couple of those textured paints before up here in Canada (quite odd, usually we get stuff very very late!) but I haven't tried any of these out yet. Same with the panel line product, but I know other guys who have tried it and they like it. Basically a pinwash in an extra-thin glue jar, so that's pretty cool. And as you said about the retarder, that will be very useful for brush painting as I love Tamiya for airbrushing but brush painting has always been a bit tricky. Thanks for your videos!
Thank you for the demos. Very informative.
Brilliant channel, thanks Andy really informative
You rock Andy! Thank you for all your product reviews. You've helped me turn my good models to great models and inspired me to keep building. Wished I lived near your shop so I could give you my $$ when needing materials.
Thank you
Great products from Tamiya. I use some of them now for about a year and am very happy with them.
I actually live in Japan, and I'm getting back into modeling after many years, so it's good to see a visual demonstration of many products that are freely available here but may not be so obvious in their usage when it's all written in Japanese! Appreciate it!
I would like to thank Andy for all your Vids as they have helped me so much as I am 78 years old and making some of the models from your vids and have come out great, so thank u Andy for all the great help u give to modelers
Thank you so much .
Keep up the great work. Very informative.
Great video and product reviews and demonstrations. I def want to pick up some of that stuff.
Hi Andy, very informative. I hope the products also come to Europe and Germany. The panelline accent color black I've been looking for longer. The tamiya curved masking tape I've already tried and I am thrilled. 👍👍
They looks awesome Andy! Thanks for the video buddy!
Thanks for the review, they were very helpful!
Many thanks for demonstrating the snow paint, Andy. Been looking for ages to see examples of it in use to see if it was right for a diorama plan of mine :D
Love your channel, you made Tamiya my favorite paints and for models.
Thank you I'm glad you like it
Thank you, much enjoyed. From South Africa
Thanks for the demonstration of the Tamiya Mark Strong!
Again, another nice review Andy. Great products.
Thanks for the reviews. I'm looking forward to trying the panel line accent colors when they show up at my LHS.
I have always been a TAMIYA fan. They have great stuff.
Another great video Andy, thanks for the info on the new products.
Thank you
Wow that snow stuff looks amazing. Would be good for on AT-AT feet.
Great video. I have been using Tamiya products for the last 40 years. A great company.
Yes top notch stuff
Andy, thanks for making this video. I've been looking for a better decal solvent. I'm fed up with micro sol.
Hey Andy, I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm mainly a figure painter but really wanting to get into building something and your videos are helping me to get motivated. All the best, Joe Hudson
Just picked up the Panel line accent color, it is like magic. Great product! :)
I buy all the hobby supplies you show, I think I'm addicted to model building supplies.
The acrylics are a game changer for me. So much easier to keep my brushes and tools clean.
Your'er doing a great job keep it up and ill con tune to watch thanks
Thank you
That decal softener. Wow. Micro sol is good but can take multiple coats and hard to find at a reasonable price. Tamyias version seems simple, one time and amazing results. I'm excited for it!!!!
LOVE this!!! I am always looking for new Tamiya painting product! I know this video is a couple years old but, you are definitely a Master Modeler! Very informative and I really enjoy your vids. I was a professional model maker in my past careers so, I am slowly getting back into the swing of it :).
can't wait to get my hands on these products. thanks
thanks for the demos I like the look of these new products I'm especially wanting that new decal setting solution I hope thet ard in the uk .
Thanks for sharing this very good news. I'm a big Tamiya fan and have been aware that, we in the States, have not had full access to their product line.
Andy, You know your Stuff!!!
Glad to see another Tamiya fan on youtube!
Sold on the snow effects and decal solutions!!! Amazing stuff!!!!
E N A M E L Thinner......for that 'Tamiya Panel Liner'......Thanks, Andy, wish I saw this video of those panel liners BEFORE I was missing up my acrylic paint job with topcoat....
Well, lesson learned!
Hi Andy, and a late merry Christmas and happy new year, here in Australia, we have all or most of those products, and I can't wait to use some of them soon. keep up the good work, cheers.
Thank you.
Thanks awesome video
Really great products, I am surprised even after a few years I have not seen these products in use on RUclips.
Best review I've seen. Won't mind Using them

The fun cartoon intro will never get old, ever! Also, I'm definitely going to try some of the curve mask tape. A great product review Andy!

Great videos dude, greetings from Slovakia:-)
I used to hand paint with tamiya paints and they were fine, really good for me hand painting
Hi Andy very informative as all ways thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos .I am very jealous as none of these products are available were I live on the island of Cyprus we don't even have a model shop so I have to ship all my stuff in by post which is areal pain .so once again many thanks for your efforts. JP
I've used the new masking tape and it works really well. Just bought some Mark Fit Strong and I'm going to use it on the decals for my 1/32 P-47 from Hasegawa. I'm going to also pick up some of the retarder. Tamiya is my go to for models and anything else if I can. Great products for sure. As always, thank you kindly for your videos and for all of the neat little tricks if you will for a much better model.
Best wishes,

Andy Alex hear you're welcome thank you for everything you've shown us
I bought both the black and brown panel lines here in Australia about a year ago. The black is brilliant and is all I use now. I found the brown to loss its colour a lot when it dries and hardly visible where as the black looks great against almost any base colour.
awesome products!
impressive results with the latter snow product. super realsitic
yes I thought it looked great I think the other will to when I figure out how to sculpt it properly
excellent video as always thank you Andy you should check out their brush conditioning fluid also a nice product
I use regular Mark Fit and it's great when you put on the decal first then painting a light light coat of that stuff on top to make it stick to the surface. Never tried Mark Fit Strong and would avoid unless you are experienced or the decals are thick. Proper application is put on the decal, let it dry after you placed it properly then using the Mark Fit lid with the brush, brush off most of the fluids inside the bottle neck while taking it out then painting it on. Tamiya makes awesome stuff.
Great review!
Thank you for what you do...
Thank you for watching , great kind viewers like yourself , keep me going .
i should be getting my tamiya panel lines accent in the mail some time this week im excited
I would like to see you do the a maus maybe once trumpeter and takom release theirs. They got me good.... I finally found the old dragon maus kit. and paid big for it. Now takoms kit is going to be released next month. Trumpeters is full interior thatd be cool. Love watching you build when i cant. Thanks for what you do. Pushes me to get better.
wooow realy nice products!
thank you
In Arizona the paint dries quickly , In cold , and damp WA state you put 2 or three water traps on your airbrush compressor and can only spray in the summer ! Your spoiled ! good video !
When is Tamiya going to step up their kits production? They are falling way behind. Good to see new products coming out, even if behind the power curve since other manufactures have all these products already. I do love Tamiya so I have some of these on order already. Thanks for the update.
Very nice video Andy!!
Can you please make a tutorial how to paint a soldier's face?
Thanks ;)
Panel line accent color, from what I've heard from some of my European modeling buds, can damage your model{the softer plastic kits} and will pull up cheaper enamel paint. I picked up some earlier in the year{March 2016} but 2 bottles were broken, so I never got the chance to experiment myself. The tape is a very good product, I've used some of that myself. Good vid.
Great show Andy. Pits you haven't got a shop in Australia.
Must... resist... urge... to go... to the... hobby shop... Screw it.
I failed to contain urge to go to a hobby shop too D:
why fight it? if it feels good, do it.
Andy's reviews are going to put me out on the street. Do they allow scale modeling at the mens shelter?
@@fefega And that's how I ended up buying 60 model kits in one year. Oops. Oh well!
🤣🤣🤣
THANX MUCH FOR THE DEMONSTRATIONS ON THE NEW PRODUCTS! DEF GOING TO BE TRYING OUT A FEW OF THOSE!
They are great product , Im glad they are finally available in the US
thanks for the time out of your day
I only started modelling in 2016 and have used some of these, and lots of products from other manufacturers, and have mixed opinions but without having grown a brand alliance. I use whatever I feel are best.
So the ones I've used.
The dioramas effects are great, so many uses including a textured base for rust (over painted with rust colours) if used sparingly. I have only used the Brown but like what I see here and will try the snow.
The Panel Line Accents are good and flow freely into every knock and cranny. But there's only a few colours (there's also a Dark Brown available here in Australia) and I only like the Brown. I'll stick to using oil paints.
The Retarder is OK but it's still no good if you want to cover a large area. There's still so many better options for hand painting, I love Vallejo Model Colour, Lifecolour and Badger way, way, better.
I'm going to have to try the decal stuff. I've never used Solvaset, but have used Micro Sol/Set, would you rate the Tamiya stuff as better?
Andy, what an awesome video. Thank you so much. You got yourself a new subscriber. Do you have an online shop by the way? I can not find Tamiya Mark Fit Strong anywhere lol.
Hahahaha love that tamiya shirt, i want one xD
tried the panel line accent and they are excellent when you want to use them on the star war kits.
I just got a bottle of those snow effect but sadly its in Japanese can't wait for you to show us how 2 use it:)
I literally use some $0.50 acrylic craft paint I get at Walmart to paint my models, they work just as well as Tamiya and they have less of an odor
Which tamiya lacquer do you use to seal your models? By the way, in my opinion, your channel is the greatest modelling channel in RUclips! Greetings from Germany!
sure, sure. I've always used Tamiya and MM paints. Just when I start switching to Vallejo, you start switching to Mission paints. LMAO. keep up the great work ( no matter what paints you use.) I guess my paint collection will just have to keep expanding
I could be wrong, but I don't think he's officially switching to Mission. Mission has been sending batches of paint out to guys on YT for trying out/exposure.
Great video!!! Btw can you make a video painting a tank camo with a brush in the future?
I have this products since the last year and I'm very happy about all of them. But I see the snow for the first time and it's awesome!! I was thinking if that snow can be used as the foam on the waves in the sea. With those christal inside looks like foam a little bit.
Hi Andy, love the videos, just one thing, can you look at improving the audio? cheers buddy keep it coming
Wow Thanks
The Panel Line Accent colors I have been using for several months now and I am not to impressed yet. I believe they were designed for what it says..."Panel Lines", cause it works great for that! We will see on those. There is also a fourth color now...I don't remember what color it is though. I think in general all of Tamiya's stuff is great stuff though. Thanks for sharing Andy...love you channel and videos!
mike breazeale the other colour is Dark Brown.
Thank you I going to experiment a lot more with it, i did find it worked better over there lacquer spray
I Thank You... You do fine, Young Son
Great video's that you put out , very informative. I might state this wrong, but you were saying bout the Tamiya paint bottles about how to add thinner? To each bottle to have them ready to airbrush? Can you do this as you get the bottles, or just before you start a project?
Thanks, Mickey
3:38 Holy hell. That looks exactly like snow.
Just an FYI, pin striping masking tape is cheaper and more flexible than this Tamiya curve tape and it is much easier to control. It also comes in a broad range of widths which can come in very handy. I have also found it to be more consistent and less prone to failure than the Tamiya brand.
Thanks! I am 66 and just returning to building model cars. I have several Tamiya Porsche kits from the late 70s to mid 80s. Will the Tamiya decal solution work with the old original kit decals?
On the starship you should add little dabs of snow all around because that is how snow forms
I live in Minnesota so I'm always surrounded by it
Ben Weber I live in mn too. Small world.
jason kinney where? Me, Edina aka south west of the twin cities
WAY up north in Bethel off of 65... But as a web developer I usually am in Minneapolis area a lot.
I followed your on this google plus thing. Still not to keen how it all works.
oh cool. have you ever been to the saint paul model club? mmis i think its called
hey Andy, do you ever got issues with the new panel line or any other enamel products on top of acrylic coats in general?
hi do you spray top coat over the painted model before apply the wash? if painted using tamiya arylic will using the enamel thinner takes out the arylic paint?
Hey Andy, after this video I went and bought some mark fit strong but I'm having so issues where it won't soften around things like rivets or panel lines. Any advice to get it to work better?
i got my first mark fit back in 2010 over here in sweden haha
