    Very simple, very practical, and therefore something I can practice and put to use right away when dealing with your typical boxer/streetfighter.

    I was taught something very similar in my self defense training. It's like a mix between spearing in and simply intercepting their haymaker. From the standard self defense posture it could work very well.
    I was also taught something we called the 'cover-cover' which worked my teachers had personal experience with where the main point was to simply driver your elbows into their chest above their pec muscles. That is a vulnerable area. That isn't a well known or practiced concept and I'm glad to see it somewhere else.

    master wong, how do you defend/react on a quick push kick(muay thai). it's important to know bcoz once someone does that, it would definitely destroy my balance and that would be an oppurtunity for the attacker to establish another attack. hoping for a response. tnx

    those haymakers dont seem to be aimed or guided very well and if you are to block this type of strike in this style isn't that arm capable of being pulled and throwing you off blance? and does that not leave your entire right side open to attack as well? ive been training in wing chun that past few months and im currious to know your opinion on this tactic vs a tan and a pac?

    Ok I dont know nothing about Wing Chun; However, I noticed from the few videos that I have seen, you tend to block on the attacking side and punch with the other. I'am big and slow so in a street fight should I block more than I attack because Iam not very fast?

    Sherlock Holmes suggests employing elbow block, then body shot. Then block feral left. After that you should weaken opponent's jaw and fracture it, break cracked ribs, traumatize solar plexus, dislocate his jaw entirely and finish with heel kick to diaphragm. In summary, your attacker's ears are ringing, jaw is fractured, three ribs are cracked, four broken, diaphragm's hemorrhaging. His physical recovery may take six weeks, while psychological up to six months. Capacity to throw wild haymakers will be neutralized.

    master wong please do hooks next. i was at work and so i made friends with the food runner kid there and he does boxing and so we talk and chill. so he was lmessing around and being a lengthy kid, we where boxing and he did long range hooks and they didnt get but still kind of did lol...you guys know the feeling of,.. ohh it could of been better, i dont care that it was a trade one for one type deal, thats no good... so next time i thought i should use my kung fu response, and so i did and every time it worked lol.. so i kind of made a thing for hooks and so i would like to see your version maser wong. our kung fu is similar because it seems you train very traditionally but then freely express it. same here brosky. im no master though

    • @CZTachyonsVN
      @CZTachyonsVN 9 лет назад

      Yeah of course because your fist travels longer distance than in a normal punch or hook. But that means it's more predictible plus "charging time" makes it more easier to intercept,block or counterattack. And recovering after putting energy into that punch is also slow. So for example simple dodge and nudge into his body can put him off ballance. Or Masters way can be effective too if you're confident. Correct me if I'm wrong.
