R.I.P. Dusty Hill. Just found out and it stopped me in my tracks. What a legacy. No trio could ever outshine what ZZ Top has done. Longest surviving all original RockNRoll band.

I’ve never seen one of their concerts without him. My friend went to a ZZ Top concert tonight here in Alabama. I just couldn’t attend this one. I do know he wanted them to play on and I get that, but for me I wouldn’t have had the good times I’ve always had. Just too soon for me 😢

I just wanted to tell you that your grandad was the most badass amongst the most badasses this world has known.
I met these guys at a truck stop in Angola Indiana when I was just 6 or 7
years old around 33 years ago and They where awesome human beings..Was
definitely something I will never forget ..They talked with me and gave
me a hat and autograph and had their semi with their famous car painted
on the side..Even with all their security and money they were humble and
still cared about me as a young child fan....My father talked with them
for over a half an hour...Will never forget...wonderful music to.

I watched these guys chat with fans and sign autographs for three hours AFTER their show up in northern Minnesota. They didn't leave until the last fan did. Great guys, I second that.
My buddy Scott Cushing interested me and interduced me to them back in 1989 at the black stallion bar. On Bloor and spadina Ave. Great time, incredible guys.

It is ridiculous how much of a fat sound you can get from a guitar, a bass and drums, but these guys pull it off effortlessly.

Idk if I’d say they got better, but they changed their style and it was just as good at least. I prefer the pre Eliminator era, especially the first 3 albums.

My favorite trios are ZZ Top, Mötörhead, and Rush. There's something about an old three man rock band that's just amazing. Even though Dusty Hill, Lemmy, and Neil Peart have passed on, their music lives on through the generations.

I remember when I was 6 years old back in the early 80’s fucking up the tape in my boom box from playing it over and over. They sound exactly the same as the recording!! We can’t let rock and roll die and these guys are living proof!! Now while the world is stuck at home maybe real musicians will be recognized. God knows auto tune isn’t happening in studios right now.
