I too wanted to be like Eddie van halen and randy Rhoads and the shredders of the 80s but for me my revelation came when I plugged my uncles les paul straight into a cranked Marshall, no effects no pedals. Emotional, powerful, and melodic playing will get you very far. No discredit to eddie or the greats of the 80s in any way though

John Fogerty and Billy Gibbons-legendary. My 6 year old asked what the blues are. So I’m looking for good pieces to show him and I came across this. Man, this is good music. I’ve been listening to a lot of metal and country lately. I forgot how much I love these two.
