That's the result of three skilled players who have kept their egos in check enuf to have stayed together, culminating in the sort of tight sound that only results from half a century playing together. I guarantee they aren't as tight with the new guy, even if he is every bit as skilled

Billy Gibbons had a background in art. I think this is the reason that ZZ Top was the most visually appealing band ever. Every stich of clothing, hat, coat, sunglasses they wore, was for impact and part of the show. Even their guitars. It was/is absolute brilliance. These guys wrote the book on cool.
I remember meeting Neil Young so many years ago up at the Peanut farm dinner/bar. He would bring his Guitar in and play for us sometimes. I asked him 1 time why he was still playing all these years later . His response was DUD i love the Music it makes me feel alive!

Its like Dusty, Billy and Frank are just there as they let the Bass, Lead and Drums continually chatter to each other throughout and belt out pure magic! The players movements are respectful to the sound, they don't try to enhance or control it.
Not only do they make sound that, seemingly, shouldn't be possible from only 3 guys, they do it on a way that looks like it requires no effort. Absolutely amazing. Dusty will be missed.

Unforgettable...brilliant...sensational...epic...for the history books...that will never happen again...but...we were very lucky to be part of it...thank heavens... .
This reminds me of a line I heard in "The Buddy Holly" story years ago that you can't be a successful band with just two guitars and a drum. These guys turned the world upside down with two guitars and a drum! I have been a fan since I first heard this song in the early 70's. I remember being in a dress shop with my girlfriend in the early 80's and they had a stereo system that was playing music throughout the store and Tube Snake Boogie came on and it stopped me in my tracks. I didn't know the song, but that sound was unmistakable.
This classic is now 50 years old and sounds just as good as when it was new. It's more popular now than when it was new.

Yes that right
It warms your soul to see how much they enjoy jamming with each other.
I can't wait to play bass better and jam with a couple of friends that I've been invited to jam with in the future. Just been to a funeral today, but this video and their music helped me feel soother and warmer. Thank you ZZ Top🤘
Billy, Dusty and Frank are the epitome of cool.... Fell in love with them in the 70's and still hooked.. Thanks guys for all the great music....

I like all kinds of bands, from blues to southern rock, rock, hard rock to classic metal, but you know I could hear ZZTop 10 million times and I still wouldn't be sick of them, Billy has the sound!
I love these guys. Still together after all these years. Not enemies, not dead, not crazy, and the music STILL hasn't changed. OHMYGOD Is that not wonderful as crap, or what??? happy
HAPPY!
Завораживающе... Наизусть каждый звук, и невозможно оторваться
RIP Dusty, Leyenda de la musica.
I was born in the GDR in 1975 and grew up with ZZ TOP, they are simply the BIGGEST
One song you can listen to time and time again. It never grows older.Just be better. Grows deeper each time. Congrats ZZ Top and Bravo.
I play the bass right along with Dusty every time this video pops up.
RIP Dusty. You were my inspiration for picking up the bass. Nothing over extravagant, just down to the beat and damn accurate.
I can never get tired of this song or this band....
Right on!
I love this song basically I never get tired of ZZ Top
@@josearriola7537 , I know, it’s a magnificent obsession right? A national treasure!
@Greased Lightning yeah, I’ve heard a number of stories about how personable and cool he is one on one, and it comes through in interviews as well. Watch out though, they don’t call him the “Texas home wrecker, heart breaker for nothin.” Cool story, thanks for sharing !
Greased Lightning A good history to tell!!! 😜👍🏻 Salu2.
Tres Hombres jamming like they have their whole lives. Rip Dusty. We miss you
Man how many years has it been since this song hit the airwaves and still sound GREAT. Billy you guys have been one of my favorite bands of all times. RIP Dusty you will be missed.

Unforgettable...brilliant...sensational...epic...for the history books...that will never happen again...but...we were very lucky to be part of it...thank heavens... .
I have loved this band for so many years lost count how long...They were legends!!! ❤
Magic, and they still appear to be enjoying themselves playing music together for nearly 51 years! AWESOME!
I love ZZ Top they are one awesome band, with killer tunes 🎉🎉
One of the few bands who will still be listened to 150 years from now.
I've always loved how billy and dusty perform so chilled out😅
I can't even imagine how badass that would be. To be in that venue and seeing them . It'd be just like being on the stage. So fucking awesome!!
Frank Beard, the only member of ZZ Top with no beard!
Can't fault thee. My Daughter we're brought up with guns and roses.
And the only three members who have always been the only three.
La Grange. Almost 50 years old yet these guys are ROCKIN IT and having a good time. Tell me that ain't awesome.
After 50+ years, you'd expect it...but it's still ridiculous how perfectly in tune they are with each other.
Yes... excactly... this is three guys being one... and sounding like five at least .. seamless perfect wall of sound 😎
