Blu-Ray: smarturl.it/ZZtopMontreux2013Blu
The band has made a number of visits to Montreux over the years and this concert from the 2013 Festival is undoubtedly one of their finest live performances. The set list blends tracks from early seventies albums such as "Tres Hombres" and "Fandango" through their eighties blockbuster period with "Eliminator" and "Afterburner" and up to their most recent release and return to their blues roots with "La Futura". The middle section of the concert features a jazz-blues tribute to the late Montreux Festival founder Claude Nobs with guest appearances by Mike Flanigin on Hammond Organ and Van Wilks on guitar. ZZ Top, the "lil' ol' band from Texas", are rocking the blues as strongly as ever!

Sad to hear about the passing of Dusty Hill.
Atleast he went peacefully. God bless.
R.I.P DUSTY. YOU'RE A LEGEND AND YOU'LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
Not Rusty! Dusty Hill
😪
Pena que não tenham vindo ao Brasil. RIP Dusty.
Покойся с миром , пусть земля тебе будет пухом . Дасти. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

2024 🤟🏻
Here!! Love fucking rock and roll!!! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
MEEEEEE
Eliminator is such a killer record, the way they blended the groovy sensibilities of 80s dance music with the badass nature of blues rock is immaculate. 😄
Exactly!
Just a Friendly Reminder: LEGENDS NEVER DIE!
Totally agree with you
you got that right!
Agree
@Olle Carlsson god bless you
HELL YEAH!
Wow. They are an amazing trio. What a sound only 3 people could make. This is real music. RIP Dusty!🙏All the good ones die to soon!
Yep right, how are you doing it is nice meet you here
You're absolutely right!!! No keyboards, no synths...just 3 instruments...
there's a backing track as well but cleverly disguised
I was there with my daughter for her 13th birthday. She's 36 now!
Your 36 year old daughter was 13 years old in 2013?
just saw these guys last weekend in VT...AWESOME show!! hard to believe they have been rockin' it out for 50+ years! still sound amazing. RIP Dusty. Billy still rockin' it in his mid 70's!!
Just learning of Dusty's passing and devastated beyond words. My playlist is starting to look like an obituary of classic rock artists. Thanks for 45 years of great music and fond memories, Dusty.
💔
Long live Dusty , how are you doing it is nice meet you here
Music never dies, nor do legends
"We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top'. We will forever be connected to that "Blues Shuffle in C.”
You will be missed greatly, amigo.
Frank & Billy
Fuck man this world sucks rite now
I was hoping to see ZZ Top at Bethel Woods this Sept. Dusty told Billy the show must go on. What a great man but I wanted Dusty to be there too. Dusty will be there in spirit. R.I.P. Dusty. You will be missed and never Forgotten. ❤ 😢 🙏🏻
@@sm31156 not sure if these guys will ever play again. That's a huge loss. Would never be the same.
@@daviddemaria3982 Yes they will play again. Im sure of it.
@@sm31156 yes you're right. I just read Dusty's wishes were that his guitar tech replace him in the band. Little strange to me but I guess that's what he wanted.
84 here and this the first time I’ve seen this band preform. No music like this today.
I‘m so happy for you! The whole ZZ Top universe spreads out before you to be discovered. Enjoy😍
I Hope you are enyoy it! This Band was one of my favorites, near by Bruce Springsteen, Brian Adams,BonJovi, Status Qou. This are Not only Stars, They are personalitiies. Best wishes from germany and sorry for my Bad english.😊I was Born in 1967, I am Young 😅
I saw them 3 times in my life and when I was a 16 year old in the 70's, they were at the Rochester Dome Arena in Henrietta NY. Amazing how only a 3 member Band can push out a sound like no other band of many. I'm 66 and still love them.
Can’t get enough of Dusty hitting those high notes. What a legend.
I know right...that part has me hooked too
I'm 57 years old and have seen 100's of bands live, but ZZ Top were the only ones that played live and were able to replicate the studio sound in that setting, total fucking professionals.
Idk man Def Leppard now that they use the Fractle axe fx they have their record sound dialed in every night sounds just like the record or cd
Yes! maybe better. (Saw in Johannesburg, 2000/2001)
Here is my list #1.Iron Butterfly exactly as recorded then Jimi Hendrix damn good and then BB King....Doors were the worst man did they suck!
It is simply amazing that a three man band can put out this quality of music. I am 73 years old and I still love their music.
Your need to get with it man. Check out Joe Satriani and Joe Bonnamassa for the blues.
I'm with you .dude's
Donald i ja imam 73 god uzivam vo nivnata musikal site cd gi imam, pozdrav 🌱🐝🙏
@@achtsieben87 Do your homework dude. Both Joe' are good, but ZZ Top came first.
I'm the same age and I never will get tired of their music...
What an amazing sound.
Long live the blues from an amazing band.
💔The news today broke my heart. You will be very missed Dusty Hill.
One of the best Rockin’ bands of this generation. RIP Dusty.
Fuckin A bud! Truth
Hands down, High Fives. Many great power trio's, but Aaahhhh....That little band from Texas blows them all away...
@@ww2remembered983 They surely blew me away back in 1979! My first live experience with ZZ Top, been a fan ever since. RIP Dusty
Bless his heart
No one knows the exact day hour /But we can see the signs events all around us. And by the timeline, Israel is 80 years and 1 generation span according to bible text will be around 2027 , which israel was declared first in 1947 + 80 years = 2027 . so we know we dont have 10 years left as this is 2022 so the rapture, then the tribulation will be before 2030 for sure.
The rapture will happen without a doubt and it will happen much sooner than many believe (less than 10 years according to all the environmental, weather, astronomical signs ,israel timelines etc showing ). It will happen without any warning , not one , in an instant , catching masses of people off guard just like God always does, ie the flood ~ a rude awakening . No one knows the exact day or hour the rapture will happen is a certainty . THE RAPTURE CAN HAPPEN NOW at ANY TIME make no mistake !! . Please awake to Christ Jesus which is the ONLY hope NOW and dont let it be found out it IS all true later when its too late & many have been left behind in the most terrible times the earth Has Ever experienced Before and ever will...for anyone who sees this and doesnt know what to do please If anyone hasnt given their life and heart to Christ Jesus will have REAL BIG problems way bigger than any problems Ever had If left here on earth after the Rapture . After the Rapture The USA , Worldwide , will face More evils , Inner city chaos, firearm wars etc etc ,power & water , food shortages , military invasions, mass executions (yes much blood will be required by antichrist ) etctec than it Has EVER been seen Before and you surely dont want to be Here then . We Have Time NOW to change , please seek Christ Jesus while there is still time to save ! no one knows the day or hour of the rapture it will start out just like any other day and it will Take Place In the day In Broad daylight/sunny day , In an Instant FLASH without ANY warning ,& there will be peoples Driver Ids, cell phones ,wallets found in various parking lots,Purses, bill folds Found at work etc etc with NO explanation , and People VANISHING so No One can refute it has taken place. .
romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shall be saved!

Folks today have no idea about the greatest music we grew up with.
True🎉🎉🎉
That’s the truth
Had 3rd row seats for a concert by ZZ in the late eighties. Just as they got started, my lady friend, who hadn't really known much of them, asked, is this all of the band. I joked her by saying that these 3 just do a little warm-up intro for the rest of the band. After the 3rd song I had to tell her the truth. Yes, it's just these 3 blasting out all this great music. RIP DUSTY!!!!!!!🎶
Rest In Paradise🕊 DUSTY HILL ... Thank You So Much For The Great Music And Talent You Gave To Us And Left To Us!!! The Greatest Rock🎸Band from the Lone Star State: ZZ TOP!!!
R.I.P. Dusty Hill. You will be unforgettable with ZZTop.😞
I love this track.Gives me goosebumps man.what a sound.love ZZ
Love the music you guys have given the world over the years.
RIP Dusty. Losing you is just a kick in the gut. ZZ Top forever.
Fell in love with these guys as kid in the early 80's watching MTV. Been blessed to see them perform live in Atlanta for years 48, 49 and 50.
I heard the song for the first time when i was five. I'm now 17 and been in love with this song since 2008 🔥😍
You and I both Jeremy, I was from Columbus and would see them twice a year, and we got every pennies worth of that $8.75 ticket
Fell in love with them in 2018.
How are you doing it's nice meeting you here
Early 70’s for me! Hooked the first time I heard them
Maaan, that drummer is just... stunning. He's immense.
Dave just passed peace brother.
Other drummers use Frank as a metronome.
Saw these guys live once. Loved Tres Hombres from the git go. Dusty rest your soul, you inspire any bass player. And Frank providing solid beat. Of course, Billy and his Texas style blues. All all time favs
Man this is the f****n bomb! More than magic, it's IT!
Tearing up as I watch this and other live tracks. I usually don’t get emotional when famous people pass away however having met ZZ Top back stage in Albany in 84 and Dusty being at the Bobby Poe convention in Atlanta with the ‘Eliminator’ (gorgeous car especially close up) I feel like a part of me is gone as well as a piece of Americana. Here’s hoping they manage to play on. And Prayers for Dusty.
BART: You guys Rock!
ZZ: Maybe a little 🤏
Raw talent playing from the soul, not the fingers!
R.I.P Dusty. Bad day for ROCK family...
ZZ Topp is one of those bands people take for granted bec they were around for so long. They were so cool in their day. The videos, the attitude, the swagger, the Texas blues. They did their own thing and made it their own way.
They're just amazing. True to themselves, solid musicians, witty, with a sense of humour and self-irony.
The first time I saw Billy Gibbons in Bones I almost fell from my chair - the funny thing is that my parents did not know ZZ Top (they're famous also in Italy but my parents were of another generation) so I had to explain who the guy was - and the funny thing is that he played an alternative version of himself.
Were around? They are continuing the 2022 tour with their guitar technician playing bass guitar 🎸 I, and I am sure millions of other ZZ Top fans hope they will tour beyond 2022 since there is much more great ZZ Top music still to be written and played.
обичам Ви. Това което сте сътворили ...направо сте незаменими
They owned MTV in a way too.
Good
Impressionante como a versão ao vivo é tão boa quanto a de estúdio!
Uma pena que Dusty Hill não está mais entre nós.
É pq eles são fiéis ao que foi gravado kkkk
Saw this band this past summer being a fan of there music since my teens, I’m 29 now. Sadly dusty hill wasn’t there, but Billy was on fire with his guitar playing. Frank was drumming with impeccable timing, and Elwood was doing a damn fine job on bass. All respect to skynerd, but ZZ Top blew them away that night.
R.I.P Dusty Hill. ZZ TOP will never be the same without you :(
No more ZZTOP without Dusty. But I feel as Billy has something to create again.
@@gaelbgalbar9307 I'm a huge Billy Gibbons fan, but without Frank or Dusty, it just can't be the same. You make a good point. Billy's creative enough to morph this into something else great.
I'm a ZZ top fan and I'm aatus quo fan ,when quo lost ric parfitt, however the best rhythm giture player of all time,
One of my favourite bands!!!! Great version of a great song 🎸🎸🎵🎶🎵🎸
This is simply them at their best-Many thanks gents!!!
RIP Dusty. Man we all miss you sir!! But thanks for all your good work. Well done. Never coulda been this gold without you!!! 💯🤟🏼🇺🇸
Compadre Dusty, te deseo un viaje luminoso.
RIP Dusty Bro. You, your talent and contribution to music will always
live on. Dusty and the rest of the crew gave us great music, and they
were the soundtrack of my life and millions of others around the
world-Thank you. Dusty and ZZ Top define great music.
Going through my 80s spotify music list, and this gem came up. I can't stop listening to it on my drive to work. Music had so much soul back then.
Only Zztop can go this high level of Coolness, they did what no other band did or ever do
R I P Dusty Hill legend
R.I.P. Dusty Hill! The little ol' band from Texas will never be the same without you... :-(
Saw them live they didn't let anyone down. The sound was the same from 3 people...... Great band !!!!!
That guitar tho gah dayum! 😍🎸⚡️⚡️⚡️
3:10 I don't think I've ever seen a man look so cool while just taking 4 steps. That's some serious swag.
Brilliant and great... Love them Texas bands... Go Billy, Dusty, and Frank...You guys rock the "house"!***
You guys and .38 Special are the best bands that ever existed
I feel big pain, all stars are going to heaven:( Hope i will see all of guys like Dusty, Johnny Cash and other idols on the next side..
Goose bumps watching and listening to the best "raw" rock n roll band in the world. R.I.P. Dusty, great bass-man.
Hello how are you doing it's nice meeting you here
This is one of the few bands that just keeps getting cooler as they age!! They've had the perfect look all the way from the beginning in order to be timeless.
And deader
These guys came around just when I needed a kick ass band to listen to, early 70’s!
Love this band. Nothing but class. 😎
amazing grandpas!
i love you guys
long live, god bless you
Descanse en paz Maestro Gracias por hacer de tus Canciones una Leyenda ❤️
Ok v sypecr
Ok
They'll never be another Dusty Hill! I was raised on ZZ Top, and it'll always be a great regret i never saw Dusty live, but he'll live on forever through his music. RIP Dusty.
ZZ Top came up on my radar after seeing them on The Tube in the 80’s here in the U.K. I’ve loved listening to their stuff ever since, RIP Dusty.
RIP dusty
Long live Dusty, How are you doing it's nice meeting you here
RIP Dusty from a life-long native Texan fan! Can never get snuff of ZZ. Hook Em’ on Billy’s bad ass Tele! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hello how are you doing it's nice meeting you here
Cosmic track takes you up to that stratosphere ROCK ON
You took the words out of my mouth dude❤❤❤❤ the old ZZ TOP 4 EVER 👍👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
We lost a legend. RIP Dusty Hill.
RIP Dusty Hill. I regret not being able to see them 3 years ago. Old bearded dudes make better music than 99% of the crap they have nowadays.
You ain't kiddin!
They kick ass! Always have!
Crap doesn't accurately describe what they call music these days. It's repetitious, no talent, and ridiculous garbage. RIP Dusty Hill.
So true legends
Absolute Legends , ZZ Top immortal !!!
Dusty's just smiling away. Awesome. Love these guys. Decades have been kind to us all living in the era!!!!
R.I.P Dusty 🙏🥺
Thank you for your amazing bassriffs and the music you gave us all over the world with your 2 band amigo's.
My condoleances to Billy & Frank, family, friends, and millions of fans. Salute Dusty. From Amsterdam The Netherlands 🇳🇱
RIP Dusty. He was a part of the Good Old America. Slowly and inevitably the soul of this country is fading away, along with its Greatest people.
A refrain echoed through the ages.
It hurts to even think about it.
Billy with no pick, WOW ! God bless Dusty !
So kick arse!! So smooth...Best 3 piece Rock Band ever!!
So many great performers gone these last 5 years or so. I really regret missing a concert with ZZ in the 80s. The scalpers bought all of before we got in the door and we had waited several hours too.
How are you doing it's nice meeting you here
R.I.P DUSTY HILL
YOULL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AND YOUR MEMORY WILL LIVE ON
I'm 56 and this is a thrilling version. Thank youj.
So much talent. And, always entertaining.
These are the moments forever saved in time. Dusty didn't die. Heaven needed a bass player so they just hired the best one
ZZtop i love you, your music your style, your Performance, your attitude, you and CCR are the best 😍😍😍😚😙
Super staroušci 😎💋cz
Why do they all hide their eyes behind sunglasses? Do they have red terminator eyes?
Agreed, ZZ and CCR c'mon... Both incredibly incredible bands
@@SkeligMichael why yes, yes they do.
Have to add Allman brothers in the mix.
A great Band! Love their style
Wow, simply masterful!
Just one more Band proving that the 1970's music was off the hook. I watched ZZ Top in concert around 1978 and they blew me away!
This came out in the 80s
Bands can’t even get this massive sound with 5 people, but ZZ Top did it with three
three piece groups can really sound huge with the right talent like: The Police, Rush, Tool (really an instrumental three piece with just an added singer), Van Halen, many many others.
@@LesGrossman69 Hendrix.....
And with basic amplifiers 😳👀
Amazing isn't it! Big up to the sound technicians too!
@@angrywhitemale7163 in the studio yes… most of Hendrix stuff he was recording 2 or 3 parts on the guitar to be played at same time
Eu com 18 anos curtindo esse clássico do rock, essa banda é D mais! 🏳️🌈🇧🇷
And 48 years later, y’all are still tops. Blessings!
Awesome guys. Keep going) your rhytmes, music and energy are best. Enjoying it almost all of my life.
