Saw the launches, saw the happy dance, and immediately hit the Like button! 🤙🤙
Thank you
also, i quite enjoyed this video, kept me watching throughout and i jsut love when people are doing things on their own. nice job dude
Thanks!
bro, the sound of it.. its pricelesss!!
Such a fun ride ! Nice work!
Thank you man
Magnificent! As always!
Thanks bro!
I knew you would make another all-wheel-drive civic LOL. Keep up awesome content cheers from Canada 🍻.
It kinda fell in my lap. I don't plan to keep it
Thank you for the clutch pack advice.
Live and learn
Love you Mr Babb!. My wife an I miss y'all papi😢. Let's go. Get it done and sold.
Getting closer!

What a cool project!
Thank you
this is what its all about.. i digz it 🤙🏽
Hell yeah 👍
sickk dude
Thank you
Nice simple install. Dig it.
About to do some of these mods on mine.
Need to convert to AWD from "4wd" on a few cars, still looking for the viscous couplers.
Might try to convert the old diff clutch to a coupler.
I think gearx is developing a drop in viscous that replaces the whole clutch assembly in the diff
Good work!
Thank you
I'm envious! Gotta wait on PLM and Dynamic Performance! I bet its a whole different feeling launching an AWD civic
It most definitely is.
that doyle tool has been a god send for me. i typically avoid harbor freight, but this one they hit it out of the park on.
I've had decent luck with most of the stuff I've gotten from HF
Man makes me wish that we actually had the awd civic ferio rtsi in the states. 😂
Ngl you were the first channel I found after I bought my 98 5speed rd1 and I’ll just be honest ❤ the content man 👍
thank you! I'll eventually get back to some crv content with mine after I get some stuff finished up around here.
@@hondaresource I support whatever content!
Awesome 💯💯📣📣
Thank you
Reliability #1!!!!!!
Sweet Civic had a 95 DX coupe same color
Right on!
i need this for my CRV!!!! the stock diff setup is so garbage in winter...
that was fun
Thank you
she moves😮
It's better than fwd, but it needs boost
You can probably get away with the riv nuts for a little 140 hp b20 but I’d definitely want a little more reinforcement for the carrier bearing mounts.. I welded plates to the subframe rails with stainless nuts tig welded to them.
I welded plates on my hatch too
sick
Thank you
Awesome
Thank you
I have my earbuds in, that dog barked and scared the crap out of me I thought there was a dog in my house.🤣 I wish my EG hatch was AWD, but then the B18C Type-R has no torque. Probably wouldn't spin the tires on the dirt. My AWD Civic is my 99 CRV. GREAT VIDEOS don't listen to the HATERS.
🤣🤣🤣 once you boost the b18 you'd be in business though
We need more pull videos of this little thing
I have more planned for it
Hey I’m doing this build on my 2000 sedan and I’m wondering what drive shaft did you use is it a regular crv drive shaft
Nice…. Can I get a link for the driveshaft plates ?
Bad ass bro 😎
Thank you
Nice
Thank you
So sick. Thanks dude. Super simple
Super simple!
I would love to see this with a EV conversion.
Wonder why no one's done a true awd setup on a civic yet like full lock different front an back an get a decent fun trans to mate it too I'm about to invest in a quick change and seeing how i can do stuff with cad can't be too hard figured I'd wonder online about lol
I can sure use that in the snow
Oh I bet. I used it to pull out a rsx that was stuck in the mud this past weekend
Superb
Thank you
proper shakedown
It's only right to actually make sure it works.
Wassup my fellow Alabamian!!!!
what's good man!
So with the locking plates you don't need a viscous coupler? Would you see better results in a stock CRV with stock shaft and such?
You must have a viscous if you lock the clutches. Locking the clutches without a viscous will result in broken parts, most likely the transfer case
Hey, I'm working on a project and had a question. It's a EV EG hatch and the motor will be rear mounted and it's single axle drive, but the rear eg trailing doesnt have an axle spline. Would a crv rear trailing arm bolt on? Thank you!
No, but you you get some AWD conversation trailing arms
is locking plates process the same for a rd1 crv? and would it have to be the same oil you use on the diff?
This is a 97-01 CR-V diff, so yeah
What did you do for the driveshaft? Did you send to a driveshaft shop for balance?
It's a stock uncut freelander shaft.
What drive shaft are you using & what adapter plate is that in front the diff?
Freelander driveshaft. Adapters are from Martin AWD Adapters Smith on Facebook.
can you help us soruce affordable freelander shafts with viscous?
They are hard to find nowadays
I want to do this in my 95 turbo k coupe
You won't regret it
Quick question, if I leave the rear diff open but install the locking plates in place of the clutch pack, what is the likely hood of damage if I continue to daily it?
You need to leave the clutch pack or install a vicious. Locking the clutches without a viscous will likely result in a destroyed transfer case
@@hondaresource 😅 so the freelander or wago shaft is a must 💯
i just did it to my crv quick question while making a sharp turn do you feel like the car starts slowing down or struggling to make it
update the driveshaft snapped on me while turning maybe it was too tight??
What did you do to it?
Let’s see a donut? 😆 loved the video sir
*puts axle stubs in front
@@hondaresource👀
What transmission did you use?
99 CRV
Hey what drive shaft did you use?
Stock freelander
O by the way you don't want a perfectly straight driveline, A perfectly straight driveline can cause bad vibrations especially in class 8 trucks, Just ask any Good Truck technician.
Thank you!
So can you do a awd on a 4dr civic ?
Yes, there are plenty out there. I've done a hatch and a coupe so far
@@hondaresource any on 92 4dr civic or 2000 4dr civic or maybe 07' ?
@@projectlinkservices7849 I dont know about the 07 but I'm certain there are some 92 and 00
What 4wd to eg8
Same thing as this.
