This becomes so custom & people love that. I have a single needle embroidery machine 4 x 4 hoop. I am very nervous to do embroidery on it, but I need to start somewhere. What a beautiful 1st project this would be. Thank You so much.
You are so creative! Another fun way to make your designs “pop”… literally! Bags, pillows, clothing, the ideas are endless. It would be cute on a “mug wrap”. Thanks Lorrie!
I think the puffy letters/foam would be great on many thing...hats, bags like you are doing today, backpacks. I've used this before years ago and just used regular craft foam which worked well on hats and backpacks.
Super cute, I want to try a dog collar or leash. Of course bags, pillows, jacket etc. etc, etc... Thanks for the video and all the great ideas. Always look forward to what your up to next.
Thanks for the video. I'm sort of new to embroidery after 50+ yrs garment sewing and having the most fun with my Brother PE800. I've seen the puffy letter on caps but there seems to be endless options.
This video came in handy my daughter is having a sweet16 sleep over in two weeks and I ordered messenger bags from oriental trading for her guest filled with goodies such as embroidered hand towels now I will embroider the bags in 3D puff Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this video! I’ve seen 3D puff on hats, but never thought of trying it myself. I’m going to try and make spirit wear for my kids school! Basketball tryouts are next week and I think a 3D puff basketball would be amazing- wish me luck 🏀🏀🏀
I think putting puffy designs on my granddaughter’s dress would be so cute. Or I could put the alphabet. What are the little hanging things on the zipper pull? So cute!!! Thank you
I think they would be adorable for my granddaughters!!! Maybe make them a Halloween Bag or Santa Bag with their name on it. This summer maybe make them a beach bag. :c) Of course I would also need to make their mama's a summer bag to match. LOL
Fantastic, thank you. do you need to purchase specific fonts or can you use what is on your embroidery machine already? I am always making goodies for my grandchildren so I will try this on some handbags for the girls. 💕😊
No. You need fonts designed for puff embroidery. The fonts are digitized so that they don’t have any open ends in which the foam could ooze out. There are some regular fonts that would work but you really should use fonts designed for puff
Lorrie - can mighty hoops be used on the single needle janome 500e? I have looked and looked for info on that. It would be nice to have a bit of a smaller hoop like 4 x 4 and a 5 x 7 ish size. Thanks in advance for your help :)
Lorrie, I really am looking into getting a embroidery machine like yours but I have a question, have you tried to sew on leather and is so how did it work? Also, how about sewing over jean seams?
Thank you for this video!!! I am doing a 3D Puff design and I have a couple of questions. The design I am doing has two outer lines and the center is puff. First question: Do I do the outer line first, middle line next and 3D Puff last. Second question: What is the longest length of the “Satin” stitch can be when doing a design so that it does not snag? Hope it was alright with you to ask these questions. And, thank for your help!!!
I have an embroidery machine, single needle. Not sure what I'd use that size of bag for. I tend to make bigger bags and donate to those less fortunate than I.
Ooo! This looks like fun! I would like to use it to make some makeup bags!

Fantastic, thank you. do you need to purchase specific fonts or can you use what is on your embroidery machine already? I am always making goodies for my grandchildren so I will try this on some handbags for the girls. 💕😊
Hi, Do you need to alter tension on machine for puffy. thanks
I would love a multi needle machine but not in the budget.
I do want to ask how to remove a sulky embroidery spray stain from my fabric? What to use?
great video! Can I use pretty much any font with it or on designed for use with puffy foam?
No. Unfortunately they can’t
This is awesome. Will this work with any type of large fonts? Or do you have to have special fonts?
Lorrie, I really am looking into getting a embroidery machine like yours but I have a question, have you tried to sew on leather and is so how did it work? Also, how about sewing over jean seams?
Perhaps some monogrammed key fobs.
I’d put it on an ith notebook cover I’ll be making for my granddaughter.
I want to try a hat with the white puff then sublimate over it.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today”...
Is a special font or design needed to use foam?
Amazing video! I have to try this! How thick is the foam? Will the foam from any of the craft stores work?
Which software are you using
I would use 3D puff on a cap
is there a difference between this foam and foam you can get anywhere?
Thank you for this video!!! I am doing a 3D Puff design and I have a couple of questions. The design I am doing has two outer lines and the center is puff. I have an embroidery machine, single needle. Not sure what I'd use that size of bag for. I tend to make bigger bags and donate to those less fortunate than I.
