Seinfeld was kind of slow the first couple of seasons - today there is not one single individual who has never heard of Seinfeld, pretty much all over the world ,,, 18 years later....
Thanks for the tips! I like that tip of setting times to check n' answer messages cuz I constantly refresh pages for new messages/emails/comments and reply to them and it's a really bad habit!! So thank you Nate
I started doing this with my business a couple of years ago and it made the biggest difference in my life! Allowed me to be so much more focused when I was working.
I've only watched one other video of yours and I can say you seem really down to earth, which makes watching these types of videos so much easier. On top of the great information you give. Thanks Nate.
I think the concept of tracking your time is so interesting! I would love to see where my time goes during the day. I love the concept of “eating the frog”. I’ve tried it out before and I always feel so much lighter for the day knowing that my hardest task is done.
For me it really depends on the nature of the frog. Like if the frog is really difficult academic work and I do it in the morning I get complacent for the rest of the day. If it's something like working out or procedural work then I feel relieved. I really enjoy the Swiss cheese tho and not thinking too much about the task ahead because it envelopes me in existential dread.
Right as I was reading this I noticed a cut in the video (6:47) but yeah it's impressive that he can go so long without cuts, he can probs film and edit a video in under an hour - now that's time management
Will forever appreciate this channel, you have helped my family alot, you videos, advise, lessons are inspirational and helpful to us, my wife and I have been able to be minimal, conscious in spending, Saving and investing wisely. The Swiss Cheese method reminds me a bit of the Kaizen method, in which you focus on smaller, incremental improvements over time that add up to large changes.
Indeed, but they can't be too small to be able to make a difference. Start with setting an alarm clock in the morning,, no matter if you have endless time available,,, unemployed, disabled.... This is the #1 thing that will contribute to make people be able to make the HUGE changes in the long run,, start with that,,, and the others,, bit by bite you will have the dream life
Damn ive forgotten about this channel and forgot how great it is. It was one of the first financial channels i was watching when i began investing and focusing on my grind.
I count eating food as part of 'taking a break' from work, but I agree going out to eat or even cooking a complex meal can making eating take so up a lot of time!
What Nate is saying is very true, count your days and i really mean pay attention to your time during the week , look at the bigger picture and underestand how your lifestyle works
YOUR CHANNEL HAS TAUGHT ME WAY BETTER THAN MY SCHOOL. THANK YOU FOR BEING OUR CANDLE TO LIGHT OUR WAYS. HUGE RESPECT!!! YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION FOR US, TEENS, NEVER CHANGE! 😊
this was actually a video worth watching, I feel like so many creators bring habits videos but this one was filled with research and actual tips. Good job Nate :)
Great advice on productivity Nate. I like to batch out like-activities together and schedule them on my calendar. Batching could be checkin emails or texts or social media at certain times or recording new videos. We teach others how to communicate with us and how to respect us.
I’ve watched several of your older videos about Roth IRA’s and decided to open one. I have a question though, should I start putting my money into a general investing account or a retirement account? And what is the difference? Thank you so much for the info you put out
I love this Nate ! I always felt that BALANCE is important in your life. I missed out on enjoying life for some years....working all the time. It causes BURN-OUT and can affect your health if you're not careful. I'm still learning how to work SMARTER :-)
A good option to see is to take a look at your phone. I see that I use my phone too much. It is little by little, but they all add up. It also makes others things take further like getting ready for the day
"It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop." I might not know you but you will succeed. This is something people won’t tell you NEVER GIVE UP.
Such an enriching video, thanks Nate. I really liked your initial tip of time tracking everything we do every 5 minutes for a couple days. I will start with that for sure.
As they say..."Time waits for no man". Thanks for the elucidation of time management... now I realise why I never have much downtime. The mug was a nice touch, expertly colour coordinated, but empty :)
