How many hours do you work per week doing RUclips? The work culture/necessity that stifles so many who long to do something similar to what you are doing (passive income via RUclips, investments and dividends m etc) keep many people from lifting off the ground with whatever their dream may be. My question for you is, from those of us who want to opt out of the 9-5 life and pursue something different as you have, do you truly enjoy your work? Do you work more than the average American would add a regular job? What is your goal with your business ventures? In another video you said you wanted to retire by 30. Is this because you want the freedom to live as you wish or because you don’t believe it’s healthy to work in the manner that Americans do for most of their lives. I am fascinated by minimalism, and I am very curious to hear your more foundational thoughts on work culture and how minimalism should intersect it. Should we grind for 10-15 years (and embrace the exact opposite of working minimalism) and finally enjoy/achieve life balance after said grind is done. You are a very thoughtful person, and I am very curious to know what your thoughts are on these topics. Thanks for your wisdom and this video !

Congratulations, Nate, on having the wisdom at your age to have a regular regime. I’m now retired (aged 78) & can see clearly the wisdom of your daily schedule. Really good stuff. My personal recommendation for productivity: · Write your goal on a piece of paper to visualize your goal · Take action and complete small tasks, mastering one and continuing to the next. · Be consistent and make it a habit, over time - results will appear. · Practice mindfulness for stress reduction, happiness and a clear state of mind. · Don’t run after money. When you create value, money will eventually come. · Build your foundation from bottom to top, with solid blocks representing small, smart steps. · Invest in yourself and influence others.
Actually NO! You must plan, but then go and do it. Forget the goal. If you want to do good and live effortlessly (which ppl like me who are into productivity forget after some time, it all becomes hustling) you must enjoy your WORK! The Process! Quit this goal bullshit. Trust me, been on the path and if you just think of goals, you will fall, in the sense that you will start feeling miserable. Because you will fail and most of the time it is not even about you, more the randomness of life! This Productivity mindset might feel good for a while as it gives the impression that you have a way out of your problems. But then, it all becomes IT. That goal. Implicitly thinking there's always something wrong or that could be better. Just enjoy life and do your best. You will be productive without even thinking of it and you'll see the beauty. We don't live to work, we live to enjoy and do what we feel we want to do.

Great video. And yes sleep and exercise is important. It's the two things people often skip out on. Long term doing this, health problems will certainly arise.
This video truly helped me in adjusting my daily habits for increased productivity. Especially the points about getting up and out of the house moving early in the morning and doing the most important tasks early in the day. Thank you so much for making this.
I've noticed that most successful people have a strict routine schedule they have every single day. Typically: Wake up relatively early, light exercise, eat breakfast (which may be the same foods every single day), productive work, eat lunch (again the same types of foods, healthy, and cooked at home), harder exercise, eat dinner, wind down for the night, personal time for enjoyment, phone away/off, light reading of a book, then sleep. I follow the same routine and it doesn't seem dull or mundane like most people would think. I enjoy it because it's predictable, it works, and little time is wasted on the small details. Better to use that time to do productive work than having to worry about small nuisances of unpredictable life
@@NateOBrien i have been going to the library for years it helped me alot with my business papers need to be printed up. it is a place were i get paperwork done.
You’re very open minded and understand life at a high level. I wonder how you started to think how you do to this day. Most people our age are boxed in and don’t share the same views we do. I’m curious how you’ve broken out of that box or if you’ve always been how you are. I’ve never seen such a great understanding of life for someone so young as myself. Ive recently came across your channel and I can see eye to eye with majority of your topics and discussions. You have amazing content and values, continue the great work.
We're during lockdown time because of coronavirus. How can we keep the daily routine you recommended? I really want to get myself out of home-zombie zone to get things done and improve myself.
Productivity is probably the area you cover I'm most interested in. There is an interface between personal finance and motivational psychology that would really suit the RUclips format and I could see you doing really well mining this overlay. So many people, especially me, have incredible difficulty transforming all this time that we have into meaningful activity. It's been the bane of my life and I'm Fifty.. 😮. Great video Nate.
It's because everybody would like to be productive and have a lot of time. But it is so easy not to be time efficient and get distracted, like watching youtube all the time:).
can you talk about how you get motivated to wake up at 6 am in the dead of winter? i live in NYC and find it so hard to get out of bed and get outside when its cold af
I live in Moscow. Weather is even worse here but it doesn't matter how cold&dark it is outside if you are on track. You can try this. Pick one week in following month and mentally prepare yourself to wake up and exercise every day of it. If you can keep the whole week, then you'll get a big dose of self-esteem that will help you building this routine
camille louisa Same. Worse yet, I like to sleep with the window open, and I’m the most un-morning person I know, so getting out of bed with a freezing cold (studio) apartment is an absolute nightmare for me
I work really early for work, I have to get up at 4:45am so I find that making sure I schedule one of my days off to just work on my business in the morning is my work around. I have 2 days off so I try and get a few hours in and just allow myself to go out later in the day to relax. I wish I could use the productivity at work I feel for my business more but I always jot my ideas down or try and do some things on my lunch

This video truly helped me in adjusting my daily habits for increased productivity. Especially the points about getting up and out of the house moving early in the morning and doing the most important tasks early in the day. Thank you so much for making this.
Gosh you're just the type of person I'd love to be friends with af lol
Ariel Grushka same! I would go out of my way
Simply awesome man
"Stop trying to multitask"
me, multitasking while listening to this: *...*
Me too
WOW! Simple living and high thinking!
you have earned my respect today
We have the same alarm lol I was confused because I wasn’t looking at the screen for the first few seconds
The early morning run really helps to kickstart your day. Its what you need in the morning.
When you wake up and your hair is perfect
yeah my hair is nothing like that in the morning lmao
I've noticed that most successful people have a strict routine schedule they have every single day. Typically: Wake up relatively early, light exercise, eat breakfast (which may be the same foods every single day), productive work, eat lunch (again the same types of foods, healthy, and cooked at home), harder exercise, eat dinner, wind down for the night, personal time for enjoyment, phone away/off, light reading of a book, then sleep.
I follow the same routine and it doesn't seem dull or mundane like most people would think. I enjoy it because it's predictable, it works, and little time is wasted on the small details. Better to use that time to do productive work than having to worry about small nuisances of unpredictable life
i'm really digging the library aesthetics! :)
Libraries are underrated
This might sound weird, but your hair is on point! Great video as always!
Thank you Blake
So true! Sleep is often overlooked. It’s major for mental health too
We're during lockdown time because of coronavirus.
This simple morning routine is actually inspiring. It makes me want to get more done in the morning. Thanks for sharing man
*The irony of watching this on RUclips while I should be working!*
Noooo
It is somewhat productive
I love listening to these vids while I do my work
can you talk about how you get motivated to wake up at 6 am in the dead of winter? i live in NYC and find it so hard to get out of bed and get outside when its cold af
camille louisa improvise. If you can’t go outside, exercise inside. Or do something productive like writing, reading, etc.
PREACH!
camille louisa Same. Worse yet, I like to sleep with the window open, and I’m the most un-morning person I know, so getting out of bed with a freezing cold (studio) apartment is an absolute nightmare for me
Roll straight out of bed and onto the floor and do a plank. Within 1 minute you will be warm and awake.
"I'm going to put oil so I don't burn the eggs..." But those poor $$$ organic eggs got stuck in the pan, lol... It was all serious and then you start laughing all cute...lol.
I also film productive day VLOGs. And i think filming the footage of my daily life makes me more productive :) Thank U for sharing your life.
From the UK, i have a great productivity tip for you. We all (literally every household) uses an electric kettle. They cost next to nothing and boil water really fast, which saves time! Consider the time it would save as well as the convenience, i don’t understand why more Americans don’t have them?
Ikr! We had this exchange student from the US at our uni and she said they microwave water?? Like ?
From what I understand, due to the lower voltage in the US, electric kettles take over twice as long to boil compared to here in the UK.
Some British Bloke, ah that makes sense.
Nate you’ve been killing it. I’m anticipating you’ll have 1m subs by 2021.
Awesome video Nate. It’s apparent we do a lot of the same things! I love adding new tips for maximum productivity.
Thanks Cody
Hi, the Tip with the library is Genius. Thanks a lot.
Nate: don't try to multitask
Me: watching his videos and doing my vacation homeworks
Thx a lot for sharing. I'm really following this path since I started quarentining!
I need to manage my time like this...
Alex Olivia Teresa it all comes down to practice! Keep your head up
I can relate to many things mentioned in this video because I have a similar schedule. The one thing I keep trying to have is a regular sleep routine. I should get that into habit soon.
This is super cool dude, bravo!
Thanks
Morning walk is great experience but its good to read some positive quote or read ur goals before going outside.
