Amazing video, Nate! The book that you referred (The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck) is really amazing, it changed my perception about the World and the importance of only caring about what is important. That book should have been recommended in schools it would make a huge difference on the mindsets of many people!
Fear is a stronghold we need to make affirmations daily to avoid blockages this all cones from how we were raised and how independent we are there comes confidence
wrong. there is an appropriate way to act in society. does that mean we're prisoners to what society thinks? no, it just means we're mature. obviously there is a fine line between slaving yourself to others and behaving appropriately, but do not mislead people with a quote that does not acknowledge those fine lines.
I think what he said about short term gratification is so spot on. The ability to discipline yourself to delay gratification in the short term in order to enjoy greater rewards in the long term is necessary for any true success!

The rug. Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you.” ― Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
Think about how different the world would be if we were taught these things in school! Nate, you're young but you're wiser than so many adults, and a huge inspiration for both the young and the old. I really appreciate your videos!
Talking about not giving a f***, I often remind myself that we all literally live on a rock that floats in space, just think about it, it's insane isn't it and it really puts everything in perspective. Love this vid Nate 😊 so happy you are back!
My thoughts are a bit more morbid but when I’m sick of my own sh*t, worry, fear, stress, decisions etc... I say to myself... this is my only time here, my one life, it could be over next week, next year... get yourself together, be strong, and go after what your heart truly desires. What’s the worst that can happen? You fail? You’re rejected? You don’t make the grades or money expected etc? Ok... try again, pivot, switch directions, go after something new that is meant to come easy to you. Society boxes us into these stupid mind frames and expectations that imprison our thoughts and shrink us. Enough shrinking. GO AFTER WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT!!
What I had to overcome myself was "Analysis Paralysis". Action is key to everything and especially in business and self development. It's good to analyze and have a plan, but don't let that process consume all your time and energy. Focus on getting started despite what other might think and your own self doubt! And Good Luck to anyone out there trying to improve themself
Darrell Simon Yeah I believe it’s all about balance 👍🏼 Finding the middle ground in analysing and executing is the key to successfully accomplishing your goals 💪🏼
wow, usually with videos titled like this one, most people would say very vague things like live your life or learn about you purpose or something that cannot be put into actionable advice. But this one, I actually believe that you genuinely learned every last one of those lessons as they relate to your life, family and freinds. It just feels sincere and truthful. Things we don't get as often nowadays.
Thanks man, social status is a big thing in peoples life, as soon as I cut out social media I stopped caring what others think and it made me pursue my goals, instead of goals I think others would be surprised about. I am much more successful after I cut out social status from my life, if they dont like me for who I am then why bother with them?
You started out saying as you grow older you gain a lot of wisdom and I'm 22 and proceeded to give some of the best overall life advice I've ever heard. You may be young but have wisdom far beyond your years. I'm more than double your age and have only recently figured out much of what you said. I'm off to sharing this with my kids. Thank you Nate for providing such a positive and practical youtube channel.
I used to fear criticism, but as I got older I see feedback as a gift to grow and get better. But, being raised as a millennial I seek for validation because I seek for a "good job" or pat on the back. Once I stopped caring about positive feedback I stopped caring about negative feedback.
I’m trying my best to break the family cycle of life and work and so I created a RUclips channel! Almost 100 videos uploaded and grateful to watch it grow, thank you everybody for supporting!
I applaud you for delivering such an amazing presentation with minimal pauses/edits. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I agree with the art of reciprocating and having long term gratitude. You know your stuff!
Because of you, I have started reading more and brought my average screen time down from 10 hours to 3 never been happier and who knew the knew was less social media
Thank you for this video. Just got in contact with a few old friends and want to encourage others to do the same!! I’ve moved around a lot and have let a number of people slip out of my life. Once I realise it feels too late to get back in touch and I am too embarrassed to even try. If you are like me, know you’re not alone and just do it!
I believe in you Nate, your RUclips channel is going to grow even more, you just need to be consistent and your family/friends will never ask you those type of questions again, keep it up man, you'll be very successful!
you're so well-spoken and wise! I like how you don't seem like you place a negative tone on others who may not have the same perspective as you. You describe them in an objective way, with an in-depth analysis of how their mind might work
I agree with you 100% that fear of criticism can be devastating. Especially from those close to you. For me it started from child wood. Each time I wanted to do something I would face ridicule and criticism. But I had to develop a thick skin and forged ahead in the face of all negativity. My mentor said if you want to do something worth while in life, you meet 96% of people who criticise and try to pull you down. Hence the successful in life are in the minority. Thanks for sharing that great content Nate.🔥🙏👍😀
This really woke me up. I felt all this and used to wonder I was alone with all this but listening you say all this made me really happy and comfortable. Thanks Nate.
Wow, honestly when you mentioned our fear of uncertainty and connected that to trusting yourself a lightbulb went off in my head and now it’s like that whole problem is solved for me, I never thought of it that way. Thanks dude
All the challenges that I’ve faced, I look at them as details that just needs to be worked out that’s what I’ve seen. Sometimes we’re not always right but humbleness & the right attitude will determine your altitude.
Thank you for sharing ! It's really useful. I wanted to strike that, and you kinda mentioned it when you said that people may ask question like "how can you build a brand in a such economic situation" or "okey, today it work but it's not sure it will survive the next economic crisis, what are you gonna do?" and stuff like that. People who actually are doing that, are trying to develop in youself "the feeling of culpability" and they use one of those 3 tools. 1- make you feel guilty (like how can you be so happy in a world where so much pain exist ?) 2 - make you loose your self-confidence (like how can you be so sure that people would like and buy you product? you should keep your regular job) and 3 - feeling of fear (did you thought about the fact that if your business doesn't work you gonna loose all your money and sleep under a bridge ?) Those questions only reflect those people fears and if we pay attention on them (what I was used to do until now) we just loose our self confidence, inner ressources and feeling of freedom and happiness. That is the biggest lesson I've learn throught the last 20 years, and the undestanding of this just came to me Today.
The fear of unknown and people criticizing me has always put me fall backwards in life, but thankfully, I learned to grow out of it. Also, every day I spent the huge portion of my life thinking about how people treated me in the past; little unimportant things that some people say or do has significantly impacted me, and it consumes so much of my time and don’t know how to get out of it. Your videos are therapeutic for me. 💕🌸
last time I visited you had around 200k subs and now look at you omg! couldn't be more proud and happy for you brother! just finished watching this content and gave my 10,512 like. Gonna watch a couple of your other videos in a bit. Thanks for everything man! bless you
Man, 300k more you'll reach your 1 million subs. Something about your video I'm really amazed. It's so simple yet people stay and listen. Sometimes it feels like an audiobook.
Love this video! It’s so true. Fear is what stops us from doing what we truly want to do. We can’t predict the future but all we can do is do the best we can to live life to the fullest anyway. At times, we just have to take the jump and just go for it!
Nate should really create an ebook talking about all his wisdom and experiences. Sometimes I just turn on his videos when I'm cooking or doing other tasks so I can listen in the background. If it wasn't obvious, I love your vids lol
You are so wise beyond your years! Every time I watch your videos I feel fulfilled. I think building relationships and reaching out to people is so important and is key to a different kind of wealth and happiness.
Everything you said resonated with me. I think all but 1 or 2 points are how I already live my life and it was reassuring to hear someone else with the same mindsets. Getting out into the wilderness and resetting/unplugging is paramount. And “The Subtle Art” is a book I highly recommend as well. I’ve gifted it to friends because I think it has the ability to cognitively free a person. Thank you for your videos🙏🏼
Hey Nate I really struggle as far as getting angry at little thing. You're so right things are only how we make it out to be. Sometimes I still think about negative things that happened years ago and in reality, they don't really matter. They only matter as much as I make them to be.
When I saw the title of this video pop up I’m like oh great another kid is gonna bless us with their knowledge because they’re all that. But Nate is different. I appreciated how he opened his video with the disclaimer that he is still young but that these are things that have helped him. Good job Nate. Love your videos. Keep it up!
I really agree with the last part of What Nate just said, sometimes we don't really know what we are going to do in the next few years. But the most important thing is to trust ourselves that we will figure out on the way and adapt everything that comes to you on the path of life. Thanks Nate,
Congratulations for this maturity in thinking! You are so young but you are very wise! Thanks for sharing these ideas and please don't mind about people who make jokes of you! 👌
Great video! Also maybe the more tools we have the more we can identify our own world better & be able to contradict that critism at least to ourselves.
You have such great wisdom and character. Another tip that could tie into this- follow your gut instinct about people/situations. We sometimes try to outsmart it thinking this time it'll be different, or give people the benefit of the doubt, but in the end we wish we would've just listened to our gut.
Nate please talk about how to know your "kind" of books to avoid buying books that don't interest you just because your fav RUclipsr said it was good. Still new to reading books

Everything you’re saying is resonating with me. I’ve had the luck of stumbling across your channel back in February, I was looking for some investing advice and I found a guy with a great talent for life. I’ve taken many of your advices and I put them into practice with a lot of succes, you and many other youtubers have provided me with amazing lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for influencing me and many others with positive energy and amazing life lessons! Really means a lot..:)
Your insight is just wow.. Incredible. Absolutely, I agree. Mental riset is really needed to face how cruel the world is, actually how cruel people try to judge others. Thanks Nate.
I started to watch your videos now and I should say it is worth it. If you , new guy read this comment , believe me you are in right way. Stay safe mate and keep going :)
I like your simplicity and attitude of always learning. Only when you trust yourself/ have faith in yourself can others do the same for you. And themselves. Inspiring with a growth mindset.

I'm still very surprised to this day that Most of his videos are in one take.
I like your simplicity and attitude of always learning. Only when you trust yourself/ have faith in yourself can others do the same for you. And themselves. Inspiring with a growth mindset.
Thanks for these! Definitely some significant things We can consider in all of our lives
It’s crazy to think how the simplest things can make the biggest impacts in our lives.... but yet we don’t do them.
