Awesome video!! I am 14 years old and I wake up at 6:15am everyday, I do morning affirmations, read, meditate, workout, shower and get ready for the day all before 8:00am and at 7:55am I usually eat breakfast and go to school which starts at 8:20am
Plan one hour to do healthy habits to get ready for the day Wake up same time Everyday Make your bed ( clean room ) Drink a cup of water Journal for 5 minutes Get outside + meditation
To the *worthwhile person* seeing this, your dream is not dead. Don’t allow the past and current pains and hurts stop and define you. You’re more than a conqueror. Rise up and put yourself together. Keep pushing your future depends on it. I wish you all the best in life ❤️. Just allow grace to let it in.
Do all your 'boring' weekly chores - laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. - during the week so the weekends are entirely free and clear for adventure or relaxing. It makes for a busier weekday but you'll finally have time for friends and family on weekends.
I agree with writing. Not trying to push views on anyone but my life really started to become clearer when I stopped trying to “plan” and live for just for myself. Praying, reading the Bible, listening to God and journaling, have all been a tremendous help in my life. I think we can easily get wrapped up on our own “goals” and “visions”, but tend to forget to even ask God what he wants us to do in this life. That’s just my opinion..
Nate … This is very truly excellent advice for a single person or newly married couple provided you don’t have: 1. young children. 2. certain pets. 3. infirm relatives that you are the primary care provider for. 4. livestock whose needs change with the seasons. 5. a job with irregular hours or a job where you are on call 24 hours at a time. That notwithstanding, it IS excellent advice. Unfortunately, it is not realistic for a majority of us, but we each can take SOMETHING from this list. I thoroughly enjoy your videos!!! Take care, be safe and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 👨🌾🐩✝️🙏👍
I always enjoy this style videos from you Nate, I’ve given up on most of the big financial RUclipsrs ( feel they are all pushing the same content since too much collaboration) You are still enjoyable and and your videos come across as honesty with no sales pitch! Keep it up, just being you. ☺️
I LOLed at the "everybody had the best diet" 😂 I feel good starting the day by writing out why I am thankful. I try to be specific. I am looking forward to improving my morning routine with some of these ideas.
I have implemented music in my morning routine for the last couple of months. I use a noise cancelling headset and play music I know I get a smile from on my face and music that makes my body move/dance. This combination gives me such a good feeling that it has decreased my feelings of anxiety and improved my self confidence. PS good video Nate, keep up the good work!
Agree with all of them, although instead of making the bed in the morning I leave it neat but pushed back as although many people in the productivity community swear by it, science advises against it because it traps dust mites inside the bed, and I also usually open the bedroom window while I'm getting ready, not because it has any increased productivity benefit but just because it's common sense to refresh the air
0:10 Pro tipp: You don't actually need to put the paddle from one side to the other, you can steer with it after every "strike", so you only need to paddle in one side, and still go in straight line. Search it up for the technique! Great video btw!
Love the video Nate! Super helpful habits to integrate. One of the things that I have been starting to implement is morning walks without any music or podcasts. It gives me an opportunity to have some peace and be able to think about how I am going to attack the day and I've noticed I generally get more done on the days I do this compared to the ones I don't.
When ever I notice myself getting off track, it usually stems from dropping a morning habit subconsciously. My non-negotiables are make the bed, and do 5 minutes of stretching.
That one hour morning buffer time doesn’t actually need to be the first thing in the morning. I woke up at 7:30 to get my kid ready and drive her to school. After that, I have 1 hour time to do my morning routines before work. I think the goal for a good morning routine is to set a tune for the day. Setting that tune before getting kid out of the door may not last after the chaos of getting a young child ready. I found 2 things really set that tune of the day. One is walking in the treadmill for 15 mins to get a little sweet. The other is study something in the morning to fill the need of self improvement. Great video! Keep up with the good work!

In the morning at 7AM I have set a timer on a bright light, that will shine in my face. It mimics the sun and activated your brain to wake up. Works like a charm
I am so happy that I have most of these habits now. If you asked me 2 years ago, I didn’t make bed, drink water or meditate but I do these most days now. Yay ☺️
These are great morning habits Nate, especially writing for 5 minutes. Some of these habits have helped me reach a six figure net worth by 21. Keep up the great work 👍🏽
Thank you so much Nate for sharing this. From my personal experiences, I've already done almost all your point. But it's very difficult to maintain new habits. I fail and back to my bad old habit often. I just hope that I can do this without any disruption. Wish me luck 🤞.
@Corstian van den Dikkenberg Well I'm reading currently and it's helping me a lot to build good habits and also helps me to stay positive and calm.Great Book 🤞🍀
Hey Nate, great video as always. I have always struggled with this, I have to be at work at 6am, with an hour commute I have to wake up atleast by 4:45am to get there on time. So it’s super hard to get a buffer in before work because I just really don’t want to wake up at 3:30 am. But again great tips and video!
I love your videos, you are a humble, calm and knowledgeable human! About the 3rd habit "making your bed", we actually shouldn't make our bed right away, we should let it air for a while to avoid bed bugs and bacteria build up. But great video!
I think that buffer is so important. There is definitely periods in my life when it doesn't work very well to have an elaborate a morning routine. When you have a brand new baby the 1st order of business is to get them sleeping well so that you could even think about waking up before them. Before that you just need to get any amount of sleep you can.
Thanks Nate. Love these types of video that are down to earth and can benefit everyone. Instead of many other big finance RUclipsr are just talking the world is ending, everything crashing, sell everything now, etc.
Completely agree with waking up at the same time every day. Once you do this for a few days your body automatically wakes you up at that same time every day
In the morning, I have a habit of going outside and walk in the park for 30 minutes, and sit down for another 30 minutes looking at trees. This helped me set a general calmness throughout the day.
You’ve been brave in certain areas of hesitancy or fear in your journey to be doing as well as you are. You’ve made wise decisions. Be brave and courageous as you go forward. ❤️
great video Nate! i also have found that drinking orange juice helps me wake up in the morning. also taking a daily morning shower is good for you and helps you wake up. thanks for the tips! ❤️😊
It's spooky how many of these I already do. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this, any and all advice is always appreciated. Sending you good vibes.
I think for Christians, praying in the morning is the same thing as journaling. It’s not a new concept! Nate I’ve been following you for years and always look forward to watching your videos even if you don’t post that often!
Awesome habits ironically just came out from therapy so I'll try these habits because I have coping skills but to turn them into habits I believe will help in life✨
Haha, nice one, I get up at 0515 to go to a job that sucks... no time for a "morning routine"! I work 12 hour shifts, day and night. I do drink water first thing though.
As a guy that rushes out the door every day to beat traffic this was hard to hear lol but thoroughly enjoyed the content! Its very true I always feel flustered if I rush
Another habit which is not morning but the night before is..... Set out the clothes u plan to wear the next day before bed. Makes it easier in the morning and 1 less decision to make.

Making your bed is so underated. It's so easy. My morning is wake up, make my bed, pee, chug a glass of water, make coffee(I throw a table spoon of coconut oil in it) chug another glass of water while taking vitamins. Shower then off to work
*love these, one thing I am going to start to do is not have my phone in my room before I go to sleep and wake up. I dont want the first thing I do is to get on my phone and the last things as well. Great vid though going to add these in the routine!*
Nate Love your videos. Yes I go directly to coffee, but will take ur advice and have a glass of water first. I know I don't drink enuf water so this will help me to get used to drinking more water. 2:24 I just have to say one thing about waking up at the same time every day: *I am a nurse.* And I completely agree about morning routines setting good start for your day, but dude, my sleeping schedule is messed up. Truly, by every means, messed up. That's why I never liked these parts of "how to have good morning routine" videos - because that simple part of it I can't have. Sometimes I am pushing through the day with 2h of sleep, sometimes I napp all day - depending on the level of exhaustion. Or I just need to organize myself better before and after work. But my daily activities always depend on what shift I am working that day. If I am night shift, my day can't be too busy or I will be totally miserable through my shift. And my day after night shift, if I get at least four hours of sleep it's real blessing, and all day I will move around like a zombie. You would say 21 yo person should have more energy, but I am half-dead. But it's all about habits, isn't it?
Writing has been a huge plus for me, it really sets up the day for success! Love all the awesome info you shared with us! Your videos keep me going 💯✔️🔥
If you struggle to get up on time in the morning, there are two possible reasons: 1) You're body isn't finished resting 2) You aren't excited for the day ahead and your body is predicting it will be painful To counteract these two things, you should first of all set a bedtime alarm instead of a morning alarm. If you have to wake up to an alarm, then by definition you haven't had enough sleep. Instead, figure out how long you sleep with no alarm, and work out from there, what time you need to go to bed at each night. And as Nate recommended, you should try and wake up at the same time every day. And finally schedule something really fun, that you are genuinely excited about, for your first activity of the day. These changes, combined with the habits mentioned in this video, could provide you with the perfect vehicle for your success. The ultimate daily routine.
I bought boxes of expensive chocolate, each box has chocolates of unique and random flavours. Every morning I get up and have 1. If you struggle to get up on time in the morning, there are two possible reasons:
1) You're body isn't finished resting
2) You aren't excited for the day ahead and your body is predicting it will be painful
To counteract these two things, you should first of all set a bedtime alarm instead of a morning alarm.
If you have to wake up to an alarm, then by definition you haven't had enough sleep. Instead, figure out how long you sleep with no alarm, and work out from there, what time you need to go to bed at each night.
