    I also would like to add a quick note to everyone about reading to keep in mind. Yes reading a lot of books is good but we as humans only retain about 20% of the information on the first read of a book, so be sure to at least visit a book twice in this coming year! It really helps a lot! Happy reading! 📖 🎉

      Don't be a marketing strategy for luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Tag Heuer without having your money give birth to more money (I recommend ''The Richest Man In Babylon'') Rather, you can move to wealth by reducing expenses and increasing savings or investments. As far as I'm concerned, its ideal to consult a reliable financial advisor for such objectives.

    • @lamp2248
      @lamp2248 2 года назад +1

      @@rainy6161 I totally agree, the end worries of handling my finance came in the person of a license advisor from CHARLES SCHWAB, and in less than 5 years, I've made it into a staggering $10M after subsequent investments. In my experience, fear can take control if waiting too long to set investment goals, but that should go away once you set the plan into motion.

    The Art Of War by Sun Tzu is my favourite short book. I always manage to finish it in an evening. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is quick and easy to read aswell. The Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is also quick and easy to read as is the Analects by Confucius. The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli is also quick and easy to read. Also DMX's Autobiography is also quick and easy to read. In terms of Novels The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time is very easy to read. Would you advise switching some of the funds out of stocks into less risky assets, or should I sit tight and ride the storm for another year, given that I have another 5 years before retirement?

      when the market goes down and the value of your portfolio decreases significantly, it’s tempting to ask yourself or your financial advisor (if you have one) “should I pull my money out of the stock market?” that’s understandable, but most likely not the best course of action.

    • @castlerock4207
      @castlerock4207 2 года назад +1

      That's right, a bias for action can be your worst enemy in the stock market whereas, to avoid the hustle and bustle, I'm better off using an invt advisor, saves me time and earns me weekly to monthly income since the Rona-outbreak in 2019 till date. I'm about 15% short of reaching my first $1M, so I may consider rtrmt.

    Nate, do you read any fiction for recreation or relaxation? There is a whole lot you can learn about life reading fiction, especially great classic literature or great books. Dickens, George Eliot, Dostoevsky, Hardy, etc. offer wonderful, enriching stories for our enjoyment.

    You may like " the Anarchy , the relentless rise of the east Indian company". It is a history, not a fiction but fascinating story that helps to understand the world around us a bit better

    Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss great book on how to negotiate, or talk people into or out of anything. Was a fun read, he was an FBI negotiator.

    Nate, you've indicated an interest in history, finance, and philosophy, if you're still looking for works of fiction I would recommend the Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson, an epic read in length and scope, but I suspect it is right up your alley.
