Great vid, I know it’s about a year old. I’m building my first LMT, it’s a H with a 20” 6.5 Cr barrel. 2 quick questions is the 20 moa necessary for this to reach out with a Nightforce optic and what are your thoughts on the Griffin PSR7 suppressor. I did NOT do for the light weight barrel and I really like the OTB style suppressors. My son sent his LMT 308 barrel out to D Wilson to get shaved down to fit the AEM5-30 suppressor but that is not a flow through design and I’ve herd these are gassy rifles. My barrel came in yesterday so have not fired it as of yet. Do you brake in your barrels? And if you do, is there a perceedure I’ve only have had AR15’s and have done 1 breaks in of firing 1 shot clean for 5 rounds then every 5 then I’m done…… I’ve had good luck with that. First precision SS barrel so sorry for a book

20 moa is not really necessary with any decent scope that has enough elevation. 20 moa is more of a factor with 308 than 6.5. Of course if youre trying to shoot 1400+ yards it could be more of a factor, but keep in mind you have holdovers for elevation as well on the reticle if youre maxed out on the turret. I dont know about the griffin. Yes these rifles are gassy but thats more on the 556. Of course some gas tuning may come in to play but more so with non flow through. But its also ammo dependent as well. The 308 pistons are now on the market for some of these reasons. Worst case get d wilson to install an adjustable gas block on any barrel, but you probably wont need it. I dont break in ar pattern rifles with the barrels I use, usually slow fire for the first hundred rounds and then a good cleaning, with regular maintenance thereafter. Of course your approach is probably the best especially with the costs on these. Thanks for watching

Awesome rifle, I have the same one except mine is in FDE and a quad rail hand guard. Why did you switch out the trigger?

Well then you got a slightly better version! The LMT base trigger is pretty good, but I like the geissele ssae the best, followed by the larue MBT trigger. Its not a required upgrade but one of those changes that make shooting it even more enjoyable. But stock LMT trigger is just fine all day long and I do run them in other rifles

@@shaunstayfree5551 also, the nice thing about the LMT quad rail is that you do not have to remove any items from the rail when performing a barrel swap.

The ability to change out the barrel without removing anything attached is why I picked up one of the LM8 Slick Side uppers when they were available. They aren't as nice as MLOK, and are proprietary, but otherwise I like it.

@@Snapper314 I’ve heard nothing but good things about those rails.
