Before I got my machine I watched a few threading videos and thought “piece of cake!”, then when I finally tried it on the machine I was like WHAT??... and then I found your video. You’re a lifesaver! 🙏🏻
This is the most important thing you need to be able to do to sew. This is the thing I always forget, every time I pick up a sewing machine (once every ten years). This video is so brilliant. Now I can do anything. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for posting this video! I had a terrible time figuring out why my bobbin thread wasn’t being grabbed by the needle. I had it in the wrong direction. You’re wonderful! Thank you again 😊💐
Ohh myy goodness, your a star! I've just watched loads of videos, i can see the notches and pulled the bobbin thread through but the needle just wasn't picking up the thread.. Until I followed this video! The only close up one I've seen. After an hour of failing I was just about ready to walk away, i can now sew until my hearts content hehe! Thank you xx
Fabulous job not to have a tripod. You just saved our night. My wife had me up there trying to figure it out. She hadn't been bringing the bobbin thread across, just straight back. Thanks
Thank you! My Singer was constantly not working. There was no tension. Singer customer support just told me I was doing it wrong. Watching your video, I see that the problem is the "helpful" threader for the bottom bobbin - it often doesn't thread properly. Now I know how to thread it properly and can tell if it is correct.
you are a life saver i had been trying all day trying to figure this part out. I've read my owners manual watched other videos & stumbled across yours...thank you thank you thank you, now i can try out this project i wanted to sew
Thank you so so so much! Trying to make Christmas presents and had to switch thread and was losing my mind trying to get the thread to go through. You're a life saver!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!I was given an old Singer and as I never used a drop bob before I thought my sister had lost the bobbin cup, so I went and bought another! I was so frustrated at my ignorance.Thank God I found you on Pinterest
Fantastic! Thank you so much for your help. There is one thing which probably goes without saying for you, which we did not find easily, that to make the upper thread catch the one of the bobbin, you need to turn the manual wheel anti clockwise. It took a while before we get it right!
THANK you so much! this is my first time sewing since grade school 20+ years ago and i had no clue what to do... your videos have helped out TONS!! thank you so much!
I just wanted to thank you so much for showing this to us. My mother was unable to teach this to me before she died and this saved me a lot of headache.
Kimberly Hutchins Kimberley, sorry for not replying sooner. Just so you know, it was my mom who taught me to sew, and your comment made me remember those times. Glad to have helped you and thanks for the reminder.
Zoe. it takes forever to get my bobbin right. I got it but I am a novice. I changed my thread thinking I put the wrong thread in because of the tension. you did an awesome job. thank you. I just have so much I took on and in a short time frame. I need a teacher.Lol I should not have skipped home EC...
I have literally watched this video 10 times now. I am sure I should remember how to do this by now, but for some reason I always forget. Thank you for helping me out!!!
My daughter and I struggled for about an hour on this! Other videos move to quick and don't provide enough detail. Your narration was excellent and the angle of the video, perfect! Thank you from SoCal!
Ohmygoodness! Thank you for this! I have spent the last hour trying to do this and watching other videos and all I was doing wrong was turning the wheel in the wrong direction. *face palm* Your video was the only one that specified that! I feel so stupid, but thanks for the help!
Omg... thank you. My mom was going to take the machine to get fixed. We were turning the knob away from us instead of towards and couldn’t get bottom part aligned
Terri M NEVER EVER turn the balance wheel (also called the hand wheel or flywheel, the large wheel at the right-end side of the machine) away from you. You can damage your machine. Make sure you turn it towards you when sewing to lower needle into the fabric before AND WHILE sewing. Never sew while the needle is in the up position or you will throw the timing of your machine off. The needle should be in the up position, however, when threading the machine because it opens the tension disks to receive the thread for balanced stitches. Hope you don't mind the tip!
thank you very much for your video, it is by far the only one that has showed me what to do. If you have any other great videos with you and this machine, please let me know I could learn a great deal from you... again thank you
There's only one other and that is the video of the first time I used it. This is the second video, which was done in response to people saying they couldn't see the bobbin properly in the other video.
This is the only video I found that completely explained how this was working, thank you so much!
The camera work was good enough that I could see and understand how to do it. Thank you very much.

I've been digging up tutorials for the past half hour and this is the first one that got me successfully setting up the two threads. thank you!
After half an hour of looking at so many different videos this is the first one that has made sense. Thank you
Thank you so much for this! The close-up makes it a lot better for me to understand.
Thank you so much! I was having such a hard time with the bobbin threading. Really really so grateful 🙏🏽❤️
I cannot thank you enough! You have no idea how many times this great video saved my life!
Thank you so much! I couldn't get my bobbin threaded with other tutorials. Thia was perfect!
Thank you so so so much! Trying to make Christmas presents and had to switch thread and was losing my mind trying to get the thread to go through. You're a life saver!

Thank you sooooo much! I just got this sewing machine and was startled by the way the bobbin was :) Threaded it without any mistakes, thanks!
Thank you so much for posting this; it was exactly what I needed!
I was losing my mind-- thank you!
Thank you so much, I REALLY needed a quick and simple tutorial to change the bobbin on my new machine, and this was perfect! Cheers!
Thank you for this video. I could not figure out how to thread the bobbin until your video. Thank you thank you thank you :)
Thank you so much!! I just got a machine and I was so confused by the minimal directions in the manual D: This really helped.
Melleh17 They really do stink!
This helped so much! The whole time I was trying to catch the bobbin thread by turning it away from me instead of towards me! Thanks!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!I was given an old Singer and as I never used a drop bob before I thought my sister had lost the bobbin cup, so I went and bought another! I was so frustrated at my ignorance.Thank God I found you on Pinterest
Doing a sewing machine tutorial with one hand is quite a feat! Thank you for the video!
Thank you so much for this! I've probably watched this 20 times (every time I have to thread my bobbin!).
I'll be honest it has been so long since I used my machine that the last time I pulled it out I had to come look at my own video just like you!
Thank you so much all the other videos did not tell me to turn wheel toward me.. That is what I was doing wrong! Thanks a million for your videos!
Thank you sooooo much!! You are the only person who explained this well and you were very welcoming to me! Thanks again!!

This is so helpful thank you. I have been unable to figure out what to do with a thread once I got the Bobben in.
Amazing video considering you used one hand. Thanks so much for the help. God bless you.
Thank you!!! You're a champion! I'm trying to teach myself to sew and this helped me a lot!!
Thank you. This is the best video I've seen on the subject. This isn't nearly as easy as they make it look.
Thank you a million times. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks for the video! I am a beginner and it was a perfect tutorial. I was able to get my machine going.

My daughter and I struggled for about an hour on this! Other videos move to quick and don't provide enough detail. Your narration was excellent and the angle of the video, perfect! Thank you from SoCal!

Omg thank you. You recorded this with 1 hand and this is the only video I I actually understood and helped me !!
Omg... thank you. My mom was going to take the machine to get fixed. We were turning the knob away from us instead of towards and couldn’t get bottom part aligned
