    Hi Lyss. 😊
    Loving this! You're smashing it!
    I'm making my comeback to ultra in 2 weeks (56km trail event) after a lot of years out with injury and then fear of injury. I know I'm underdone as far as training is concerned, but I'm happy to take it slow just to break through the mental barrier and get out there again. I'm 54, so I'm just trilled to still be out there on the trails.
    Good luck with your event! Looking strong. 💪

    Thanks for sharing this! Appreciate pushing yourself into the 30 miles while also having the forethought to turn around a hair early to make sure you have enough when doing something self supported. My stretch this week was trying climbs that I felt were one step out of reach based on my current ability level at the climbing gym. Ended up finishing one and surprised myself!

    My last half marathon was a month before I found out I was pregnant. Now I’m 6 weeks post partum and you inspired me to sign up for my first 10k trail run back!!

    Awesome job! You’re so inspiring! After having kids and finally getting back into fitness and losing 55 pounds these past 18 months, I continue to challenge myself. Did my first 21K Spartan race a couple of weeks ago in West Virginia for my 38th birthday present. I liked it so much I signed up to do another one in 2 weeks in New Jersey. Living in flat Northern Indiana, I wish I had awesome trails to train on. Not sure I’m up for an Ultra yet, but maybe as a 40th birthday goal 😊

    I actually picked up Hybrid in the sale, but I’m still back to finish the homework assignment lol! The scary thing I did since watching this video was to re-try back squats!!🏋🏾‍♀The DOMS I got after trying them for the first time really scared me off them, but I reduced the volume of all my lifting across the week (after realising, post-running-injury, that my load management wasn’t where it should have been generally) and I’m not feeling nearly as broken as the first time I tried them!😂 Excited to concurrently train smarter 🤓

    I’m running a half marathon on Sunday - the same one I first signed up for in 2018 and DNS’d because I didn’t believe I was capable of it. I’ve put in a lot of miles (and a couple other half’s!) since then, and I’m ready to finally crush this thing. Thanks for all you do in inspiring us to get after big goals 🤘🏻❤️

    I went to a muy thai class for the first time in 3 years!! I used to box multiple times a week but I felt so out of practice. I felt like a fish out of water at first but MAN it felt so good to hit a bag again!

    I have my first ever trail race in 2 weeks!! Definitely out of my comfort zone being my first, but I've trained and my body is ready! Excited to get it done 😅 and then probably sign up for more (and longer!) after I (hopefully) gain the confidence!

    I went out and ran 7 miles for the first time in my life!! It was so rewarding. My last two miles ended up being my fastest miles, felt like I was on top of the world! Definitely an uncomfortable challenge but it was eye opening to see what my body is capable of!

    I just found your channel and I love it! I just signed up for my first 50k in May and I’m really excited for long days on the trails, but I’m mostly nervous about being out there solo as a female. One of my runs is probably going to be on the AT in Shenandoah though so this was really inspiring. You seem so chill about going at it alone and that’s really comforting. Do you have any tips for getting to that point? So excited to keep watching your videos

      @doclyssfitness  Год назад +1

      AT in most places is fairly populated and really easy to follow! I still get nervous sometimes some places (for example my wonderland video on here i was very scared during). But really its just years of slowing going out alone, and doing it more and more, and sometimes going with someone the first time its a NEW and remote place. Telling people where you are, what you are doing, how long it will be, etc!

    Rucked my 40lb toddler up Mt. Sanitas today and wanted to turn back so many times. But we made it all the way up and all the way back down. Hoping this vert training will pay off and to keep doing it scared!

    Great video! I hiked 800 miles of the AT this year and Shenandoah is one of the last areas I went through. Very cool. I finally joined a gym to work on strength training, so my challenge is to show up and work out without worrying about looking like a dork. I'm sure nobody cares, lol.

      Yes collecting the sweat on my neck and keeping my hair off my neck as well! Just a personal preference! But you can also fill them with ice or soak in cool water
