    It’s so helpful to see how to balance lifting and running, even if I’m not quite on your level. Thanks for all your tips!

    Almost all of my outfits this week were from this new collection from paragon fitwear. My code is LITTLELYSS for 10% off.
    Items I really loved from this collection:
    This bra, I got a small but should have got a medium. Is fine with pads out but for sure runs a bit small. Great for running or high intensity workouts: www.paragonfitwear.com/collections/summit/products/flexsweat-legacy-bra-zion
    These leggings, matches this bra and I LOVEEE these. NORMAL SCRUNCH TOO in a performance fabric. I got a Medium and I always wear a medium but if between sizes on these size up: www.paragonfitwear.com/collections/summit/products/flexsweat-big-moves-sculptseam-legging-saguaro
    If you don't mind the double scrunch I have been loving the feel, fit and fabric of these new style of legging. The waist band issues i had with paragon through the last year or so in performance fabrics has really been corrected recently in all of their leggings but especially these: www.paragonfitwear.com/collections/summit/products/recstretch-levitate-sculptseam-plus-legging-everglades
    The short version of those legging: www.paragonfitwear.com/collections/summit/products/recstretch-levitate-sculptseam-plus-short-black
    These shorts for a casual short, lifting, or shorter runs (my thighs cant handle more in them). Wearing a pair right now! These are a repeat from last year and I still have/wear/love them a year later. Size medium but can be a bit bigger in the legs but the band is TTS so size to the waist band than the short itself: www.paragonfitwear.com/collections/summit/products/featherknit-track-short-everglades

    Thanks for sharing your journey. I know it takes energy just to do the filming while running. It’s mental energy. It’s been helpful so far. Can’t wait to watch part 2

    At what length run do you start taking intra-run fuel?

    I love these types of videos! One wish I have for a future topic is the difference in training for strength and muscle hypertrophy, and maybe how you program it in TLM. I'm wondering if it's as black and white regarding rep ranges as the fitspos tell us, or if intensity/RPE also play a role in it. I only trust you and Alison (and the rest of TLM coaches) 🥹

    how often do you hit the plyos in the gym? Am currently signed up for a half-marathon in 5 months and will start to prioritize my running in about a month or so. I plan to dial back my weight lifting to probably once or twice a week once that happens. Currently still lifting between around 3 times a week, full-body workout.

      I do some form of plyo light or extensive before almost all my runs, lifts or 2x/week within my actual lifts at this time. Have you checkout out our program PERFORM and RACE by chance? I just replied to your other comment too and those may be a really good fit for you and your goals and managing volume, recovery and plyos being programmed for you too!

    How do u avoid injury when increasing ur miles? I’m struggling with shin splints

    • @doclyssfitness
      @doclyssfitness  Год назад

      I have a podcast coming out soon about my injury come back but an older one with Dr. Taylor Eckle on injury. In general with our programs/clients we work on doing strength work over all and easing into miles slower than many want to. We have a beginner run program coming out to really help with this for people new new to running!
