Really appreciate the video guys. Those reference points are good to know
Your welcome sir.
Good job
Thanks
when first pulling out make sure trailer tires are by the cones and turn hard left then right, like a S turn... this video is harder than it should be
Yes, This video is in conjunction with the previous M.E.L.T requirements, The offsets have been revamped by the government to make it easier for the students. I preferred the harder offsets personally.
Hi John, I heard Alberta changed the procedure for this type of backing. Can you help make a video clip for the new procedure. Thanks,
Hi Vu,
Yes, they did change the offsets for the MELT program. I will see what I can do.
Hey guys. Just to let you know… 3 pull outs after the initial first pullout to the wall is a hard fail on the instructor exam. I know. I’m not too sure about class 1 license exam though.
Hi Jeff, Sorry to hear about your instructors test, It is quite challenging for sure.. And yes, you are right... Instructors under testing conditions are only allowed 2-3 pull a heads total per backing maneuver. When I train instructors, I challenge them to accomplish them with no more than 2 pull a head's …But students are allowed unlimited pull a head's but still have a10 minutes time limit to complete each backing maneuver.
