Of just the 3, the Yukon. Because of the new cinder block look that GM has, I think the Yukon looks the best out of the 3. Also, you can spec it to be more affordable or get more luxury with the Denali.

Solid review. Well done. You've provided more input about how the diesel drives than any other I've seen so far, though there is a driving scenario you did not mention that I wish you had, or maybe that you or some of the posters here might post and answer here: You mentioned that at speeds on the highway the diesel isn't as powerful passing other vehicles as the 6.2 liter was. I am wondering how this diesel would do at highway speeds on mountain turnpikes going uphill, if it will even accelerate to pass at all. And since you did mention the Sport mode, might putting it into Sport mode help its passing ability going up hills at speed. Also, how might the diesel engine do at high altitudes like in Colorado or Utah, or in sub freezing winter temperatures, say when you first start it up on a very cold morning. Any additional input like this would be welcome. Either way, thanks for a good review. (P.S. In case it helps with your input, it is the 4 wheel drive diesel I am considering, either the Denali or the Escalade, in either case the loaded top trim)

@@jasondumitru I did not. Ended up putting off the car decision. Now with this chip shortage it seems some vehicles won't come with some things. Check into that if you get one. The delay allowed time for them to come out with the 2023 Denali Ultimate, which I like quite a bit, maybe better than the other Denali's in part because it apparently has richer leather and massaging front seats. If I was to get one now I would seriously consider the new 2023 which apparently will hit the streets this fall. It comes in just one interior and exterior color. I like the interior a good bit. I can't quite tell what the exterior is, it looks almost purple, so not sure about that. Most, not all but most, of the exterior trim is a darker Vader chrome which is beautiful and not so shiny as the original chrome which they do keep in two places.

I understand your preference with digital displays Sofyan but not everything needs a digital display. Some people prefer the analogue style and it makes more sense to have a traditional gauge on a truck that you want to last for many years. Typical lifespan of an LCD screen is 5-10 years give or take, that needle isn't going anywhere in that time-span. I'm guessing the average Denali buyer prefers something a bit more traditional and of course there's the fact that a regular gauge ages better.

How is the Turbo lag both from stop signs and passing say 50-70 MPH. Is throttle response fairly instantaneous or does it hesitate?

Hello redline reviews, you have yet to review the ZL1... are we ever going to get that? I remember you saying you loved the redesigned camaro back in 2016 but have not covered the refresh or ZL1 trim.

If I was getting one, which I thought I wanted one, it would probably be this Yukon Denali, but I rented a Tahoe once, and compared to my three-row crossover, the space in this full size is just a bit excessive for my needs, and, compared to my current car, the extra 3" wide and 13" long will push my garage to its limits! Maybe when my kids are teens and we require more space, this will make it to my driveway.

Personally I do think they should’ve went to the digital dash also. My main concern they should’ve done is used the original or Escalade gear shifter and made the Navi screen all the way over. Go with the bigger screen

But is it worth getting the diesel with diesel gas being more expensive? Does it offset?

These SUVs hold their values better than most automobiles on the market, do some research before commenting next time.

Have a 2017 Yukon; trans went @ 97k. Shame they did not put an Allison Trans on that 3.0l Diesel. If they did, I would take one.

I really hope you get a chance to answer my other, recent post, but watching your review again, I thought of another question: Do you know, does the loaded Denali Ultimate have all the same mechanical/electronic internal features and resulting off road and bad weather capabilities that are in the loaded AT4? Other than the benefit of the larger tires and approach angle of the AT4 of course. And if it does, has it been de-tuned at all? Since I cannot get the AT4 with the diesel, it opens me up to seriously considering the Denali with the Diesel; and the loaded top Escalade either doesn't have all that internal stuff identically the same, or it is at least de-tuned for luxury making it less capable. Thanks.

Hi. I am planning on buying this car but I am still hesitant about which kind of fuel I should buy. Can you tell us more about the noise of the diesel? Is the sound from the machine noticeable when we seat in the car? How if we compare between diesel and 6.2l machine? Thanks and hope to see your help soon

For sure a full digital driver display would look way better. Should be expected for a Denali. This dates the vehicle

You mentioned real metal on the steering wheel but it should be noted it’s not solid metal. Something like a Porsche will have an actual solid CNCed piece of aluminum where as some thing like this will just use a piece of sheet metal stamped into shape to cover plastic. Even my Audi use a sheet metal over plastic and dents really easily.
