      LEGIT it ruined other anime for me. I just tried watching Jujutsu Kaisen right after reading it, actually it was several months after I finished reading it, and I thought it was alright, but it's like it assaulted my brain palate with such quality that Jujutsu just felt like another run of the mill anime. IT'S GOOD don't get me wrong, but going into it right after CSM, did NOT help it,
      I was also planning on reading it, but apparently it's just been a mess in the manga atm, like the pacing isn't clear and all over the place.

    "one of the best things with story telling is that it makes you feel thing" I totally agree. Fujimoto is definitely a master of this, even he can tell an impactful story only with a "silent" drawing in his panels. Fujimoto is now become one of my favorites mangaka of all time after I read his four different manga.

      @@itsjustyash2750 it's hard to pick one but Eiichiro Oda is the reason I start reading and love manga. His imagination in OP world building to create its stories keep on going for 20+yrs is undeniable on the top. But in the last 5yrs I'm more into storytelling manga and it was surprised me as shounen fan because my new favorites manga mostly are seinen. Kentaro Miura (berserk), Fujimoto, Naoki Urasawa (monster), Sui Ishida(T.Ghoul). I think maybe that's my top 5 mangaka, still many mangaka that I adore but it would be a very long reply 😅

    Nice /a/ good manga panels thread bro
    Joke aside, they way Fujimoto approach manga is like how another highly praised story teller: Hideo Kojima
    Both of them are really into movies, and might as well makes movies. But, the way they deliver a story can only be done through the medium the peruse, game and manga respectively.
    You can see it in Fujimoto's rapid pacing, each of the arcs can fit in one movie.
    Though, there are some weak story in his old one shots, like the one with the piano mermaid or the confessing one.
    If there's one word to describe his delivery it would be "Cinematic"
    I do recommend checking out /a/ good manga panel when it pops up, they have a lot of examples even from old ones like Tezuka and Toriyama. Simple panel but the way they flows is smooth like the example given with Oda.

    Great video man. Tatsuki fujimoto is one of the greatest mangaka of all time for me, i read almost all of his manga, and it never disappointed me. Even the silly one kike love is blind.
    One thing that i also love from him is hoe he utilizing the double spread panel to show Impactful scene. Just take a look at the 'bang' scene in ch 81. At first he build up the tension, make it really tense it feels like horor movie, untill you turn the page and that bang scene in double spread panel popped up. Oh that's so good. Or other example is in look back the dancing in the rain part, it's so beautiful. And it also show how fujimoto very excel in visual story telling, it talk louder than thousand words.

    SPOILER
    Finally knowing what is behind that door was one of the most shocking moments in media I’ve experienced yet. First Aki and then Power. Fujimoto made a completely normal thing like walking to a door so intense and disturbing even before opening it. Although I didn’t enjoy the reveal at the end at all where makima states that Denji killed his father which the door symbolizes. I get that ”door = Denjis loved ones die“ but that father thing was pretty lame to me. It’s felt cheap because there was literally no build up (as far as I know) and came out of nowhere without any more real impact on the story. Denji was already disturbed so it didn’t change anything and was thrown in kinda random to further shock the viewer without any basis.

    • @Ace_D
      @Ace_D  Год назад +2

    • @frog6054

      I guess Denji killing his father gives a weird reason for makima to "punish" him? Since she said all the sufferings she caused to him is due to the sin he did to his father. Although we know she probably don't care and just trying to break Denji down.

    This marvelous unknown and forbidden technique of storytelling called - Chekhov's gun. A narrative principle that states that every element in a story must be necessary, and irrelevant elements should be removed. That's why every time when Fujimoto shows something, he always doing it for a reason. It's nothing new really. It's a very old narrative principle. But what makes it unique, is probably that it was used for a manga so well first time?

    i would also like to say, this is the reason i think that the csm anime will not be nearly as good as the manga - because fujimoto utilizes manga to the highest possible ability. it’s basically impossible to animate some things in the way that they are brilliantly portrayed in the manga.

    Man, whats your opinion about the animation when it comes to style? we will never have an "chibi face" approuch, more to the realistic side. At manga of CSM i really didnt saw exagerated expressions to the extend of "comedy faces", like in Jujutsu Kaisen, we can only point few ones during "short stories" he sometimes draws during end of chapters, but so, its not a general rule.
    Manga readers pointed that the anime lost the essence of manga because of it. I wonder if they know the style of Fujimoto in general, through all other mangas he already have done. He inst the type of mangaka that draws "comedy scenes" with releived and simplistic representation, actually Fujimoto seems to treat well his art to not scape "proportions" of his own characters, not only a "head ball with big rounded eyes" expressing fear/agry/shame. Even during kobeni's car scene or Denji crying in front of TV, could be related to "exagerated funny expression".
    Maybe i missed something, the manga really did those in the first 5 volumes and i m not giving credit it have before the animation?

    • @Ace_D
      @Ace_D  Год назад +1

      I think the is pretty different than the manga it try's to capture fujimoto's style but they do it using the medium to it's fullest while giving it they're own voice, just look at the aki scene in the anime. But I also think that the anime isn't really a replacement for the manga but both is good. For me tho I just like the medium of manga more so I prefer the Manga

    Every time people mention "oh Fujimoto is so weird, look here is an scene of a guy feeding people with his own flesh" I mean, don't get me wrong, he is weird, but I have read weirder stuff, the flesh thing I have read that particular scenario before, with Deadpool of all things.

    After reading some comments, of a hot take video, from people that hate Chainsaw Man and saying that all people nowadays have trash taste because they love Chainsaw Man and Fujimoto is a whack writer, this Video is exactly what I needed. Thanks man❤️🪚
