CLASSIC CARS GET AUCTIONED OFF! - ANGLIA CAR AUCTION -

- Welcome back all,
This is a follow on from the previous classic car auction video that I released last week. Still up in Kings Lynn, Norfolk this was what Anglia Car Auctions had to offer on the Sunday. As I mentioned in the previous video the auction is so well planned and on the Sunday there's a lot more desirable/expensive vehicles which get auctioned off. There is also a 'non runner' section that I looked around and there were some real good projects amongst the cars!
I was very surprised with the Mk1 Escort hammer price, along with the Sierra Cosworth. Unfortunately both of these sales were provisional (didn't meet their reserve) so it would've been down to anglia car auctions to try and come up with a price that the seller and buyer can settle on.
Overall we really enjoyed the Saturday & Sunday that we spent attending ACA. Not only can you look around the vehicles with no restrictions, you also get the buzz from them going through the auction room and watching people battle it out for the winning bid. As you've seen the classic car auction up at ACA hosts a variety of classic vehicles every time and we will be returning soon.

Great to see a young Chap enthusiastic about modern classics.. PS - Should have bought that Mondeo, it was the bargain of the auction!
I'm really enjoying your vids mate.
I'm a uk gas engineer but I've hurt my back and now I'm waiting for an op...and I've had to sorn my jeep.
So I'm living my car-life vicariously through you (and you're doing better too, lol).
Thanks again for doing these.
P.S. If you goggle image 'white eagle rv'...5 spoke with the blue bumper.
Pal of mine had a little Saxo in tango orange, he was always a reliable designated driver on a Saturday rave night many years back.
Love the way you do this. Thank you.
Glad you liked the video! 👌🏻
Great vid buddy! Good to see some classics!
Day light in the footwells ideal for Fred flintstone!
Hi Mate. just found you n love your channel miss the auctions in uk now I’m living i Australia, Australia don’t do auctions like the uk. subscribed n some weekend auction watching Love-in it 👍
Thank you for subscribing! Glad your enjoying the auction content 👌🏻
Thanks for the great video. Your young lady is a keeper, any lady who would traipse around car auctions with you on cold days is certainly worth marrying at some point. She must love you loads and she knows what she's getting with you being a car nut. Best wishes for 2023 to you & Lauren
Thank you for the comment mate, yes she's very supportive and a keeper for sure 👍🏻
I'm still in shock that someone bought that mini... or whatever was left of it for £1100! Absolutely insane. At least it makes my Escort purchase not look as bad anymore lol
They do it for vin reg and papers seen a MK1 cooper s sell on a pallet fetch 65k on bangers and cash
I was thinking maybe £50 but then lowered my bid to £30 as its a garden ornament
Yep it's the vin that is valuable...if money is no object you can restore to mint condition
So when it’s “restored”, it’s an original classic Mini that’s got no original parts except the VIN. Joke. This classic car business is getting idiotic.
@@yesman2755 I've seen a few that have kept quite a few original parts and rebuilt the original engine
I enjoyed that well done to you and your good lady 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed the video 👌🏻
👍👍
Great stuff.... Well done.
All cars from my era ,when there were thousands of escort mk1's &2 flying about , Capri's and Cortinas ,and more ,owned them all in the 80,s 😁👍
Very cool, I would’ve loved to have been born 20 years earlier! 😆
@@Mk2Mitch Hey mate ,great videos by the way ,top marks imo .
Iv noticed a few pathetic comments from SOME people ignore them ,they are obviously sad individuals, with F A good to say
Quite interesting and informative mitch 👍
great content mate , well edited too
Thank you Lee 😎
An old pal of mine bought a Ford Pop for £8.00, yes just eight pounds. This was around 1978. He sold it 10 years later for £900. Not a bad deal.
Profit! 🤑
That white Sierra was featured some years ago found as a barn find car sold covered in dust at a different auction and made well over 48 thousand pounds
That's some very interesting information! This was the cars second time at the ACA and both times it didn't sell..
Oh that Mexico is superb!
I really loved this video of selling car's at the occasion, so hoping that you will do more in the future and do you do any car deals with copart
I will be doing more of these videos in the near future! A trip to Copart may be on the cards 👍🏻
I dream and want in the near future to buy and rebuild some dream vehicles from copart and hoping that you will do a good few copart video in the future
What a great vid , I have now subbed 👌
Thank you for subscribing! 👌🏻
Just found your great channel Mitch 😀 would be interesting to know if the cars that sell provisionally below estimate go on to be sold. But I suppose that info is between seller and buyer ? 🚙
Hello mate, thank you for watching! I will have a chat next time I'm there and see if I can grab a few price negotiations after they sell provisionally 👌🏻
The E30 and E28
BMWs are the last of the proper built BMWs in my opinion
Wow I got to start selling my classical cars in England... its double the price there!
My Dad had black Ford pop and if we went on a 30mile trip he would spend ages checking everything before for such a long trip at a max of probably 40mph 🤣
The good old days .
Crazy to think you can check the oil on modern cars now with a tap of a button!
@Mk2 Mitch I still got the pop. Only joking, but I wish I did 🤣🤣
What Dads did. Get that bonnet up check levels !!!!
29 bags for a merc cosworth I'm glad I got mine closer to ten
Nice to see a young guy appreciate ford pops ,however you made me feel very old when you said the car was older than your dad at 1956 my birth year 😂
Sorry 🤣 But love a ford pop!
150 thousand miles on that cosworth means unless its had a complete rebuild, its lost alot of horses.
That mini 30 was a bargain at that price!
really was
I’ve got a feeling your next car will be a Mini 🤣
Some amazing cars there thank you for sharing this with us bud 👌🏼
Glad you enjoyed the video mate! 😁
Warwick Car Auction (Midlands) mid 1970’s :
Lotus Cortina £80
Mini Cooper S £70
Jaguar Mk 2 3.8 £100 (with rebuilt engine)
Vanden Plas 4 litre R £100
My God, if only we’d known we’d have bought a barn and locked them away for 45 years. !!!
Crazy how much prices have gone up! 👍🏻
When i was young the only time i got excited over British cars was when the local thieves would torch them after taking the bits they needed 😅
Sounds exhilarating…
This at kings lynn i didnt relaise thay were still on
Yes they are still going and usually have a wide range of classic cars! All info and website is in the description of this video 👌🏻
@@Mk2Mitch nice one thank you
That escort at the start is my grandads😮😮😮
can you please review austins 1300 , not just cars you like
Crazy prices these fords
Some of those went so cheap! Would’ve snapped that Mini 30 up!
I know, very surprising! The mini 30 was a proper clean car, if only we had the space and money 🤣
Wow have people gone mad in the uk paying them prices for scrap
Daily Barge me thinks geeza grew up reading pistonsheds
What was the price on the Mexico
It’s in the video 👍🏻
You should say how much the fees are...
I do in more recent videos 👍🏻
Nice to see some REAL cars there, not these computerised ones we have to put up with today........ we have 4 cars in my family, daughters each have a Clio, wife doesn't drive, so my "main" car E63 Merc (will rip your head off if you're not careful), and my little weekend special, had it since before I was married....Mk1 Mexico, an original one
Thank you for watching, sounds like some nice cars you own! 👍🏻
Do your homework on the merc190e cosworth🏁🏁🏁
✌️😎💥
Keep meaning to get over to ACA, it's only half an hour away.
Well if its only half an hour away why dont you go then?
@@godzilla12325 Life has a habit of getting in the way, then you forget, then you watch another of these videos and it starts all over again ;)
@@phatwayne i hear you brother but thats all exuses. Do you think Andrew Tate got where he is by letting life get in the way? No, he would be at that auction going POW Bugatti POW Ferrari etc and buy the whole lot cause thats how the Top G rolls. Ever thought of joining Hustlers Uni?
@@godzilla12325 I really don't know how to respond to that if I'm honest. I'm a 48 year bloke with two kids, a bloody good job, who's pretty happy with what I've achieved in life. Not sure Andrew Taint has anything but contempt for people like me ;)
@@phatwayne lol dump the wife and kids, they are just holding you back, be more assertive and put you first. You say you have a good job, but i bet you still have a boss? Fuck that shit, be a man and stand on your own 2 like an alpha. Its all on Hustlers uni, get involved brother.....🤣🤣🤣
Why slam the doors?
None were ‘slammed’ some classic doors were stiff and might’ve needed more strength to close…
38k it went for
Thank you for watching 😁
God you could buy a saxo vtr brand new on the road for 9500 on the road 23 years ago
Exactly, 23 years ago...!
wow man lol
That's nothing, Prince Andrew paid £12m for his escort!
I won’t be going to classic car auction at them prices absolute joke
Mental price for that orion and cortina considering how rough they were!
Agreed! I was looking forward to viewing the Orion until I looked at it in person! 😯
Thanks for taking us on a tour of the car auction I haven’t been to one for many years nice to see the prices of the modern classics
Glad you enjoyed the video! 😎
😊
@@Mk2Mitch 😊😊😊😊😊
Brilliant video
More fords
£3200 for an old dog BMW!!! I bought one of those about 10yr ago because it had tax and test to get me by till I could find another Merc for £230.now I've been in the trade almost 40yrs and all I can say is what the fucks happened to the world.i blame eBay for this.ive weighed in better examples of some of these! Absolute insanity.its a shame that anyone that wants a proper car and not some piece of shit plastic modern money pit has pay these crazy prices.enjoy them while you can and you sure as hell better be willing to fight the scum that are trying put us back in the dark ages with this climate crap, coz before you know it that investment will be nothing more than a storage shed.
Agree. It’s getting to the point where someone will roll up to this auction with a tin of rusty metal and a VIN and people will go crazy trying to outbid each other. The sheer joy of buying an old car has been hijacked by scammers and money grubbers just like lots of other things that are now deemed “collectible”.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwks Mitch, what about the motorcycle’s for us bike lovers ??? Awesome video, very informative and enjoyable mate, you and Lauren have a Dr Pepper on me lol 😝
Unfortunately Mikey I removed the motorcycle footage as it was poor quality. I'll make the extra effort to film them next time 👌🏻
Great seeing this video.
It was me who bought the Saxo , I was bidding online, then the car was delivered to a friends house who lives locally, so I now own it but not seen it yet.
I looked at the Saxo in person, it's a clean car, congrats and enjoy your purchase :)
Thank you for watching, the saxo was incredibly clean & I was so impressed with the condition! Congratulations, I hope you enjoy the car 😁
4.59 mk4 zephyr white
I've got one my self v6 essex
Nice video with great knowledge of cars and I love your views opinions on the cars !!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for watching 😁
Can you tell us what the cars actually go for when you are filming them because the sound is absolutely terrible
He posts the price on the screen as it goes though...
I always put the hammer price on the screen. Admittedly some of the auction noise isn't clear, hence why the hammer price is on the screen.
thanks mate nice to see my old type cars haveing owned a mrk1 escort mk5 ghie cortina escort mk2 rs turbo 1600 wish i i kept any one of them loved fords in my twentys xxx
Glad you enjoyed the video pal, I prefer the old school motors 👍🏻
@@Mk2Mitch cheers mate i owned a mrk 1 cavalier as well best car for no rot/rust
Fantastic video again Mitch…..ile msg you over the weekend an get that thing to you..🏴👍😎
Glad you enjoyed Dru, cheers pal 😎
WTF ! i worked in a scrap yard in the late 1980 s we used to put hundreds of escorts and crappie's into the car crusher [ all turned into small blocks of metal]
we even crushed a mk 2 jps 3l capri that had been smashed into a wall .
i crushed escort mexico's .
THEY ALL COST 25 QUID
[ now sit here crying because i crushed millions of pounds worth of cars ]
:(
lauren would look great driving round in the mini 30. BTW its the same colour as mine ;-)
That's cool, I thought the colour was similar! Mini project is on the cards next 😎
I don’t know how you resist not buying anything. I’d remortgage the house for a Mexico escort…don’t tell Leonie 😂
It's very hard mate! That escort was stunning too 😁
Wow, that mk1 went for only 21500. Thats nothing, would be over twice or triple that price in New Zealand if you could even find one to that standard. I would have jumped on that car, what a bargain.
Very cheap car! Although it only provisonary sold, which means they have to go back to the seller and negotiate!
What a load of overpriced tat! Mugs convincing each other that all old cars are classics.
