That Cortina was lovely and a bargain at £2100. Thank you, again, Mitch for a really interesting look at Bargain Hunting at Classic Car Auctions. You're an absolute star!
The "2001" Ford Scorpio is actually a 1998 car that had a private plate on from new and when it was sold at 3 years old, DVLA mistakenly gave it a "Y" plate instead. A very well known car in the Granada/Scorpio community... in fact, I nearly bought this car myself about 15 years ago. I owned about 11 Scorpio Cosworths over the years before moving on to S Class Mercs :)
Green mini van for me. My cousin had a red one with a black roof back in 1975, when I was still only 15, I loved him taking me out for a ride in that van.
Controversial, but to me that Scorpio is a beaut. The darkened headlights in the facelift, the spec, the colour, the leather, the engine, the ride. They’re great cars. Defo would have gone for that. I love a left field Ford, this and the Probe
Great video. Festival of the Unexceptional, Radwood and other similar events certainly driving the values of 80s/90s cars, just hope they don't get too high for younger enthusiasts entering the scene
Loved all the vehicles.. the mini van done it for me! .. what a beautiful restoration. Coming from a Ford man! Love the auction vids as always Mitch. Keep up the good work. 💯👍
I did see your camper go through on another YT's video and had to double check as i thought it was yours. All I thought at the time was omg I hope Mitch and Lauren drove that back home!!
@@Mk2Mitch I'm so pleased you had the good sense to reserve it because that was a pitiful offer they came up with. It seemed like there just wasn't the right buyers for it on the day.
Hope it goes well. I know what it's like. Especially when you've done a days hard graft. Nearly finished rebuilding my mk2 RS2000. Keep up the good work Mitch 👍
Great vid. The wheels on the escort van are from the Orion Encore special edition from 92/93 ish (sad car knowledge from my younger years!) . Lee from CarUK did a review on this auction too- another interesting van appeared there too 😜
Back in the Early 2000 I had a L reg 106 Really same colour paint and remember the pedals been very small and using the side of my foot to drive but that was 1.3 and you had to keep the revs Up top to keep it Moving
Spot on Mitch thanks for sharing, I agree about the Scorpio, that 300 Merc was also a cheap car I used to have one for a good few years it was bomb proof, best of the ones you showed I think it might be the Scorpio, thanks again mate really enjoyed the video
great video,i think the mercedes 300 was a bargain ,of you need a 4x4, estate to use as workhouse and the money spent by previous owner ,was amazing price soon it be tax an mot exempt
The Jag S Type has a twin overhead cam straight 6 mate, not a V8, although it does look like a V8 at first glance. The Scorpio V6 and Ford ST 170 were brammers. I'm surprised the latter didn't fetch a good price, especially with the one lady owner. Maybe it was Doris Schumacher !
Great insight on classic car prices and how the demands by enthusiast are still here. What would an A1 original condition Toyota Mr2 GT turbo T-bar with split mag original wheels Japanese import go for on sale today, approx mileage 56.000 original miles on the clock. Rarely used. And not used in the last 3 yrs garaged. Thanks and appreciated
Hey Mitch, it was great to see you helping out when the Internet went down, another great interview, that Mini van was super nice for sure. Gutted about your Van though after all that work polishing it up, looked real good though, did you let it go or maybe you will put it through in the next sale? Great Vlog as usual mate.
@@Mk2Mitch I know, but she’s been with me for 32 years. The best one was when I just saw the 3 coloured stripe on the white rallye. And I told her what it was
That restored green mini van was the star of the auction but it's too perfect to drive anywhere. The RS2000 was nice but the condition wasn't worth that much money, I'd have the vxr 220, a rare low mileage fun car.
Ah happy memories of the fiat 127 my mate has one I’m 53 I think I must have been around 18 when we managed to 7 it might have been 8 people on a short journey what a laugh god I wish I was young again 😂👊🐝
That was fun. I wanted to know about a couple you didn’t cover - that Citroen GS caught my eye - but my pick of your pick was the S-type Jag - like a MkII but with IRS and a bigger boot. And an XK straight six. Bit old-farty, but still. By the way, you were expecting that Volvo 850 to ‘go like stink’. Nope, it’s a good engine and enough for the car, but it’s got well over 150k and it’s dragging a big, boxy Volvo body. The T5 and other mad turbo versions were quick but not this one.
Hi, the Citroen GSX also caught my eye! I feature it in the previous ACA auction but it did not sell. That’s why it was re-entered into this sale. If you’d like to see the GSX I’ll leave you the link! Skip to 25:51 ruclips.net/video/qeZb9VCa3us/видео.htmlsi=RRc-vxoobIF1zeeD
Hi Mitch, you asked which car we liked in the auction, for me it has to be the Vauxhall Carlton 3.0 24v GSI , and what a car a bargain, if I had the money I would of bought it
51min video...we're spoiled
I’m glad you enjoyed the slightly longer video! 😎
Really nice variety of such lovely old classics Mitch... thanks for your coverage and work you put in to these vlogs. 👍
Thank you for the comment, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 😎
Oooh here we go, nice Sunday viewing, over 50 minutes of lovely cars at auction. I don’t go because I can’t control myself. I’d spend a fortune 😂
I admit it’s hard to keep my hands in my pockets 🤣 Glad you enjoyed the video!
Well done for filling in with Guy when they had a computer glitch, very professional.
👍
Thank you, I’m glad you liked the Live fill in 👍🏻 Was very unexpected but I enjoyed it 😎
I used to look at one of those Nissan 200SX's every day when i was younger, lovely shape. Good vid to see what everything is going for...
Had one of these for 10yrs, lovely fast car!
I was certainly drawn in by the 200sx, I’d love to have a drive in one! 👍🏻
Was a good weekend with some great cars going through, seen you with Yur old man and the Mrs.
Thanks again mate.
Cheers mate! Glad you enjoyed the video 😎
Them calrtons are so nostalgic, i love a big old high power ( for the time ) car , great video mitch ,
Thank you pal, I completely agree with you on the Carlton 👍🏻
Green Mini van what a belter that looked
It was an amazing example! 😎

Thank you mitch your the right man for thease sales you knowledge helps the viewers 👍
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the watch 😁
I love a Capri. Who doesn’t love a Capri, great cars. That 200SX was stunning as well.
Drive a classic for the enjoyment, not for earning money. My 1972 Hillman Avenger isn't worth much, but it sure gets noticed.
Mitch I thinks it’s such a nice touch that you put the hammer price and the sold price in. That Merc estate was a beaut and a bargain fairdos 👌🏻

Absolutely Loved that Thames van especially with a slightly ratty interior I like them like that. brilliant vid Mitch 👍
Thank you pal, yes the Thames van was very nice 😎
Jag S Types of that era are straight 6’s. My Dad had a couple of them back in the day.
For me the star of this auction was that mini van.
I rolled one of them in the early 90's 😅.
It was in amazing condition 😍
Ahhh 😁😁 Thanks Mitch. 51 minutes too. Sending gratitude from Bangkok. Keep them coming Brother
Thank you for watching from Bangkok! Glad you enjoyed the longer video 😁
We haven’t got to October 2024 yet 🤪🤣
With a 51 minute feature video, there’s always one mistake I say…🤣 what vehicle was it?
@@Mk2Mitch The imported Cortina. I’ll let you off as you’re cute 🤪😜

Followed through from start to finish. Excellent stuff!
Thank you very much, this means a lot to me! I’m glad you enjoy the auction videos 😁
Green mini van for me. My cousin had a red one with a black roof back in 1975, when I was still only 15, I loved him taking me out for a ride in that van.

I completely agree, the Scorpio is an unloved classic! 👍🏻
I had one in the late nineties, not that spec it was a two litre and burgundy, lovely to drive but a challenge to look at with those headlights
@@nodrog630 Probably nicer being sat in it than being outside looking at it.

The 74 Vauxhall Magnum is beautiful A gem
Imported Oct' 2024 wow Cortinas had time shift travel lol good video Mitch
I noticed that date i think he meant to say 2023 as you probably know. He needs to stay off the glue 😅😅
It’s magic 🤪 No my mistake, the cortina was imported in 2023 👍🏻
Love that Ford Thames van too. Mint. As is that Carlton GSi, lovely 👌🏻
They were great additions to the sale!
Great stuff. That Granada Scorpio was a steal. Thanks Mitch.
Glad you enjoyed, I agree the Scorpio was a steal! 😎
That Cresta would look sick on bags and wide wheels ❤
Agreed! 😎
Great Job Mates . loved it
Just started watching mitch...spent many years at a ford dealership...am a bit old now...like the way you talk about the fords ...👍👍
Hope you enjoyed the video! 👍🏻
Great video Mitch! The little 106 Rallye gets my vote😎 Someone got a bargain with that Volvo though thought it would have gone for more
Cheers mate! I loved that 106 Rallye & I also thought they Volvo went so cheap 😆
That Carlton is absolutely ace. 🤩
Isn’t it just 😁
Wow really enjoyed looking back in time, great coverage. Little peug
