Yes, a bigger number would've been better, but the EEOC has very strict limits on damages a plaintiff can receive depending on company size. I'm guessing the company was under 100 employees, so the maximum OP could've gotten was $50k. The OP could've said nah to get more, but iirc there are states that can take large swathes of compensatory remedies, so really the flat $50k and no attorney or court fees was the best outcome for OP from my standpoint.

I read about a case in the UK that happened a while ago: A mans daughter was walking home one day when a bad driver (possibly drunk) had hit her with his truck and killed her. The family took him to court but he got off almost scot free. The man who killed her proceeded to vandalise and trash the daughters grave every day, whilst harassing the family of the victim over her death. The father, so outraged by this miscarriage of justice, followed the man to his home and shot him twice with a shotgun. The father went to court charged with attempted murder (The scumbag drunk driver having survived the shooting), where a sobbing Jury cleared him of all charges. The father had 100% attempted to kill the guy, but the jury having heard the story just decided "F*** it, the monster deserved it".

@@GhostDrummer but it also took your 4 years to get your money, right? Maybe she was like "Man, I really don't want to have to deal with going to court, i'll just settle and exact revenge every year from here on out."
What could make the revenge even better would be to spread the facts of what a shitty twisted person that CEO is to any and all contacts and try to financially ruin her as well
Honestly, I would have still sued. They knew what they were doing, they knew they were dirty and I would have taken everything I could tbh. You could argue that a lot of this might have been jerkboss's influence, but CEO probably knew more than was led on. Don't screw over people, and you won't get screwed over.
I agree, Bitchboss wasn't the only one doing the bullying, and it went on for an unacceptably long time. People other than Bitchboss could continue to be jerks, and that's what scares me, because they have the power. I think he showed greatness by just taking the money, but I feel like companies deliberately bullying subordinates need to get sued out of existence. The chance was there, and I would have taken it. Not saying it's the honorable thing to do, but it's also not unreasonable.
Flora M I would have personally demanded more than $50k for all the bullshit they pulled, because to be sent home upset enough that it caused her to go home sobbing every day? That's gotta be hell on your mental health, so these bitches *_WOULD_* be covering every single therapy session as a result of their mistreatment. If not therapy I'd demand at least $100k, that way I'd be covered for while I'm searching for a new job, and they'd lose a very big chunk of their profit.
I liked the story and I agree with you, but 50k is the one thing that doesn’t fit in the story. It’s way too low. The lawyer would have been paid more than that.
50K was a joke. Accepting their initial low ball offer was insane. This was worth ten times this as an offer and the court case would likely have been 7 figures
I went the other way. Guy's son, convinced by someone the son thought loved him, to join the army as one big party.. then talks shit about the son he lead to his grave with false information... I loved the dad for shooting him
"Died in an accident" the son died by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) which means he was killed by the enemy forces. It was no accident, the father in law deserved that for disrespecting someone who he sent in to die. If the man had any sense or respect, he'd could have been at least trying to be supportive. Also, remember, he insulted HIS WIFE'S SON, not sounding like a healthy relationship.
The first person should not have accepted the 50k. My dad was in a similar situation, only way less shitty, and got a better outcome. I would’ve sued them immediately.
Maybe they just wanted it to be over. Taking 50k straight up is sometimes better than spending a lot of time and money to get a larger amount. In some cases, trials can last years.
@@dragonzlucas 50k is nothing though, that's a 12-18 month severance. You'd get that if you were fired (from many companies) the settlement offer should have been 75/80k at a low end and probably should've been pushed into 6 figures
It depends on the size of the company how much you'll get. Being a startup is very possible her lawyer didn't think they'd get much more while increasing her overall costs in the process.
Yeah was thinking that too. And how is that revenge when you do what you are supposed to do? Like if i stap you, its not a revenge when we go to court and i go to jail. If she/he made 2m is sales, sslary should be around 13k month probably
Juju Bees yes I agree, but no one deserves to go through any of that and the man that posted this story didn’t think of what would happen to the women at the time. But extreme feminists would rejoice tot his story.
I would have taken them to court in spite of whatever offer they would give, because they needed to know the consequences of their illegal actions and put up as an example to any company that would do such a thing. I wouldn't mind the money; but, in that instant, I would care more about destroying them and making them suffer.
Actually I think that was about right, it was mentioned she did the revenge over 18 years and after adding the 1 year wait and the lawsuit, this happened in the late 90s. While not staggering $1m, but the $50k would be equivalent to around $200-$300k today’s money

@@XxSteamStreamxX I don't think it's reasonable to assume or infer that FirstName LastName was talking about rSlash's definition of the revenge. I assume that's what you're talking about; where he described the story as "apocalyptic revenge"? TL;DR - you saw more than what there was in OP's comment and I'm just being a bitch about it. 😁
@@archgirl Well tbh when reading his comment you have to make some assumption, and people can mishear things so its not unreasonable to think that when rslash said apocalyptic on his on terms, that firstname lastname misheard it for apoplectic, especially considering apoplectic was used in the later story as you mentioned. firstname lastname never referred to where this 'apoplectic' was in the video, so the only two assumptions there could possibly be was mishearing the apocalyptic for apoplectic and that is it was a word rslash used on his own account, or that he was referring to the time where the redditor used apoplectic in their story and rslash read it. With either assumption it seems like one of the things in his comment doesn't add up.

I loved the tech company story, the one with the jerkboss and the EEOC. I thought both the CEO and jerkboss got what they deserved. The murder story, well, what can I say. It sounds like jerk step father deliberately lied to encourage step son to join the army, knowing the poor kid would end up in Iraq. So, I feel that step dad was morally guilty of setting up his stepson to be killed or injured in Iraq (I was closely following casualties in Iraq when the war was started by Bush/Cheney, they were very bad and that admin was pushing the idea of restarting the draft). In other words, though untouchable by law, step dad morally commited murder. The evilness of what the step dad did is mind bending. While I cannot recommend killing other people, rough justice was served. As for the ex wife, something was off about her. Why did she let her son be talked into joining the army during a terrible war? Wtf. Iraq is still a god awful mess.

I read about a case in the UK that happened a while ago:
A mans daughter was walking home one day when a bad driver (possibly drunk) had hit her with his truck and killed her.

You’re accounting for the fact that she mentioned it was 18 years ago and inflation
Please, i can understand the censoring on rSlashs part, but the term bitchboss is far more accurate.

"Patroling the Mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter"
That's not nuclear revenge. That's just straight up murder. lol...
Why not both?
@Pokemanboss2242 yup, one shot to the face would be a murder, twice is obviously nuclear revenge.
This is r/Supernova revenge!
Only if it really happened. I doubt it very much. Can't find any news articles around the time of any murder like this.
@@Soldmysoulforablurayplayer not all murders make the news.
16:12 i wouldnt have accepted that... if they know 100% shure they will loose, and they srll stuff for millions at a time... i woud have said no and waited till they came up with AT LEAST 150k +
If I remember correctly the story was from either the late 80's or early 90's so it was worth more back then. Still yeah I would have bled them dry considering all the work she put into the company.
@@420mralucard 80k today.
Yeah 50k is not enough considering how much terror OP went through in and out of the work place. However it seemed she was young and was confident she'd get another job soon so I guess just bringing them into court was satisfactory.
@@peppermasterful Microsoft agreed to pay $97 million yesterday to settle an eight-year-old class-action lawsuit in which thousands of temporary employees accused the company of improperly denying them benefits.
@@peppermasterful In 1992-2000, microsoft paid 97 mill. She could have gotten way more
Dark mode is the best decision you've ever made, holy crap.
*Sees word "Nuclear" and "Murder"*
Me: Oh this is gonna be HOT.
That’s actually not Nuclear revenge nor is it supernova or blackhole it’s fatal.
that last girl could have gotten much, much more than 50k
Elinzar yeah I was kinda astonished it was that low
In context of the story, it was 20 years ago, and she had only worked at the company for a year. Pretty reasonable payout, tbh.
I'm really bad with money, but I would imagine that with all that illegal shit they pulled on her, she should have requested like 1 million or something. That would equate to roughly $600,000 or something back in the 90's due to inflation. How much money do you guys think she should have gotten?
@@Reaver34567 well with some inflation I guess she got quite a bit
still the amount of shit in so short time she got was in another level

Have dark mode for dark stories
Have light mode for light stories
Also keep up the good work
Have brown mode for shitty stories
No
@@spencerannis580 Seems like a good idea, but maybe he'd have to figure out how to set the color retroactively after reading the comments.
We need dark mode for all the stories. That white text box against that dark background is killing my eyes.
Ngl. Prison doesn’t even sound bad after the first guy, he was just like ‘oh and I went to 20 yrs prison but I was good so 13 years’
🤨
Well he did shoot someone in the face for vengeance of his son so I think most prisoners would respect him
I guess it wouldn't be so bad when you have nothing to live for. 💔
My heart breaks for that man.
Based on what he went in for I doubt too many people fucked with him. He did what he did for his family and a lot of people in there can probably relate and wouldnt have an issue with it so as long as he wasnt an ass when he was in there they'd probably just leave him alone
that first story was just depressing but man that second story, best revenge ever!
xBluegamerx
Holy crap that profile picture XD
@Zoely :3 Gotta love Pickleilo
That first story was just perfect.
That last story was OH SO beautiful. Personally, I would've tried to go higher than 50k, but hey, do what you want.
@dragon master9168 oh my 8 rings of heck, your a genius
@dragon master9168 I was thinking the same shit. Could've gotten more money, or gotten money from a lawsuit, plus nuke the entire company, and the CEO and Bitchboss
@dragon master9168 I take pride in it
@dragon master9168 lol same, but without execution (most of the time)
Clicks on video me*ooooo a new type of pro revenge.*watches a video involving murder and a person putting a million dollar company in legal turmoil. Me*i like it
@Bilbo Ballbag the havoc she caused later was worth it
That last story reminds me of a story told to me by my best friend's mom. The 1st time she was engaged the guy left her standing at the alter! He just ghosted her, didn't show up to the wedding. I think he even left for a vacation with another woman- I'll have to ask about that it's been years since I last heard it. Her revenge was to mail a donation in his name to every hate group she could think of and put the return address as the place he worked so they could send thank you cards. As she walked out the door she picked up his phone and dialed the japanese phone number for international time and left it off the hook. This was in the early 1980's
I prefer dark because I normally watch this in bed

Thanks for all the likes! It’s my first with that many
How long does it take you to get to sleep? lol
Dark mode does not really help as your fucking monitor still bombards you with the same amount of blue light as it would if the picture was white, it only helps if you make the monitor emit more warm colours which reduces blue light still not ideal, the ideal solution is to use QLED, OLED or Plasma screen technologies that emit next to no blue light that are harmful.

Awesome! I got here early!
Also, Dark Mode matches the aesthetic of your channel perfectly :)
What’s up my aesthetic bois
You should do both nuclear and pro revenge. The mix you have going on is great! Keeps the channel interesting and entertaining.
