The start of the story is really sad. Sounds like the father of OP got brain damage from the shooting and lost the capacity to feel empathy. Brain damage can completely change a person and turn the kindest person into monsters.

It happens because it damages the front part of the brain which controls you in such a way you're not aggressive
But with it damaged you lose control over your emotions and so you become aggressive
Also scientists think that zombies could in fact have the brain damaged in the same way and that's why they are so aggressive

I can't say that I'd be singing his praises. What about him prolonging Henry's abuse, by NOT reporting it, until it suited his purposes? By waiting he was risking Henry getting seriously injured, or worse.

I was looking for this comment! I really hope Henry is in a better home and is getting ALOT of therapy because I assume it was aloot of physical abuse internally and externally. What disappointed me was how little DCF was doing up until the OP stepped in. I wish we could sterilize people and couples who specifically breed just to rape and torture someone they created.

I like the long and short stories equally. The short ones are nice because of the variance you can fit into the videos, but the long ones are also good because of the details. Your pacing and tone is well done, so it's a pleasure to listen to the long ones with you. I say keep doing both.

The fact that such things happened to him to completely change him as a person and hurt the people he once loved is incredibly tragic to me.
Kinda reminds me of my mom's ex-husband, who I've never met as he was actually before my dad, but from what I've heard about him, he was a pretty good guy until he got into an car accident one day. Apparently, he suffered brain damage as a result of the crash, and ever since, according to her, he began treating her differently. He suddenly became abusive toward her, but my mom isn't the type of person to just take that, car crash induced brain damage or no, and as soon as he hit her for the very first (and last) time, she left him immediately. She was not going to be pushed around by anyone, and she was not going to let anyone treat her that way.
So yeah, she left him. She'd divorced him long before I was born.
And honestly, after hearing this story, I kinda felt bad for the guy, after all, it wasn't really his fault. He was literally brain damaged, and couldn't help the changes to his personality.
But even so, at the same time, I don't really blame my mom for leaving him either, as no one should have to put up with abuse for any reason.
It's sad, but there really wasn't anything she could do to help him, and she certainly isn't the kind of person to be generous to those who've wronged her.
Sigh, I just find it so sad when good, kind people are turned bitter and vicious out of no fault of their own.

I like the mix of long stories and short stories. The longer stories tend to be much more epic in the consequences of the Chads and Karens than the short stories.

I'm personally in favour of both long stories and short.
The short stories are like a great anthology where you can get a lot of quick set ups and conclusions, which i love.
The long stories are excellent in their own right, cause there's something to really sink your teeth into, and you can get fully involved with someones well deserved comeuppance.
I find it funny to watch a video and someone using both my parents' names for the people they got revenge on. My parents aren't that bad, just thought it was a funny coincidence.

For this particular Prorevenge I would say that it needed to be as long as it was, there maybe a story in the future that may warrant a one story issue. Keep on with the way that you are doing things plus the odd long story. It's great to know that the bad people out there get their butts kicked big time, well done r/Slash.
I like the long stories and short ones. Keep it up; as long as you keep picking winners I don't think it will matter which route you go.
This gave me the freaking chills. I love r/Prorevenge and have done so for a while, but this is by far the most detailed and satisfying story yet.

I think super long stories like this every once in awhile are great, but I like them just as that-every once in awhile. For the most part I like the short variety of stories :)
Personally, I feel that the longer stories always seem to be the most satisfying due to the number of details and build up to the final result. I do like to have the variety in the videos as you said, but I feel that a long, very satisfying story every once in a while wouldn't hurt. Now that's just my opinion, but I do hope that others agree with me. I love your videos, and I simply can't wait to watch the next one. I hope you have a great day and give Yugo a good scratching for me :)

Honestly, for me the video itself wasn't too long, but the story was. It was so stretched that i kinda lost interest about the revenge part. Normally i first get furious about the "bad guys" and feel relieved during the revenge part. But this was somehow only "meh" the whole time.
I did not mind that it was a single story at all! Was a Great story! Keep up the great work!
