The first story hit too close to home. I used to have a teacher like this, but she hated everyone and didn't teach anything. I had to put up with it for an entire year. First day after holidays I had a horrible panic attack and acid reflux, then I was moved to a diffrent class. It was around that time I started suffering from depression and anxiety. I am still fear writing and have problems with school fobia.

I’m a teacher and that first story made me so mad!!! I don’t like every kid I teach, but I have a job to teach them and treat them all fairly, no favorites and no one I treat poorly. I give them the grades that they EARNED even if I think they are horrible people or even if I want to boost them. No special treatment either way. To hear about one of my peers doing something so nasty to a student makes my blood boil. Even when I have students fall asleep in my room, I never punish them. You never know who has a horrible home where they cannot sleep or medical issues interfering with sleep. I just wake them up for important parts. If anyone is worried about this teacher, don’t. She is going to have to move pretty far away from that district to escape her transgressions and a lot of places will either call and hear or wonder why she doesn’t give the number to THAT job. She is a marked woman now!!!
same happened to me with a german teacher back in school.. my bigger brother was at the same school so i had the lovely perks of being hated from day one by some teachers without even doing anything to them.. it's just that there is quite some interpretation and personal preference that goes into grading essays and that kind of stuff in language classes.. for math it's easy.. you do the calculation.. the way is right, the answer is right.. full points.. that doesn't really work for an essay.. but yeah i'm happy this woman will think again before doing her students wrong.. or even better she should do it again.. i mean you can go to jail for that.. at the very least she would loose her job and never be allowed to teach again.. then she can pay off her student loans with flipping burgers i suppose.. hard but some people only learn that way..
I'm from Brazil and my in high school years the education in my country was really bad (I graduated from high school in 2013), unfortunatly the education still runs bad in public schools, and most of the times isn't really the teacher's fault, but to get to the point I was a really good artist at the time (and I like to think that I'm still good at it) and I had an arts teacher that deeply hated me for years, the sad thing is I really believed all the things she used to say, about me being an IDIOT to think I would get anywhere in my life, that almost brings me to tears everytime I remember this story. But what she didn't know is that my granmother was a good friend of her's years ago and one of the best teacher's of my town, the kind that fixed the most problematic students, and she was so lovely that all of them always ended up pretty much liking her as a mother figure, and also becoming very good students in the process. But getting to the point, she once discovered who I was related to, and completly changed her attitude towards me, and I felt even worse about it, because I knew that she only had changed because of that. Unfortunatly this story doesn't end with a sweet old prorevenge, but I told this whole story to my granma, and as the angel the she was (she passed away in 2015, I guess now she's an actual angel) she told me that she was sorry that she never knew this story back when it happens, but she made me realize that I should never question my competence and my worth ever again. And that is the lesson, don't let a person full of hate in their heart tell you that you don't have any value. YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EVERYTHING, AND DON'T YOU EVER DOUBT YOURSELF!! obs: excuse my english, I may have written something wrong.

I had a teacher in high school who did the same thing, but nothing happened. 3 years after I graduated, I find out that she had done this to more than just me. After she was exposed, she was promptly fired, and barred from teaching anywhere.

Also my sisters teacher put the wrong grades in the grade book and so the teacher added an extra 2 zeros and so she got a 9000% in that class but it got corrected!
Same thing happened to my friend in our Robotics class. The teacher had no idea what he was doing all year and frankly didn't care. James had an 8100% in that class for almost two weeks.

I really feel for that student glad to hear that they worked it out and moved on. I remember this one kid in elementary school that got bullied relentlessly by their home teacher and principal and used the harshest possible punishment for even the silliest of offenses, sometimes no offense at all. Being held after class, extra homework, being reemed out constantly. One time he had an in-school-suspension that was two weeks long and they kept him in a room with no working lights, blinds on the windows had to be shut apparently, wasn't allowed recess and only had a 10 minute lunch. He had to use the light from the office outside the room to read and write. A shame he didn't know any better at the time otherwise he might have been able to do something about the child abuse.

I have no idea why everyone rolled over and made that student take basic English for a whole year "to see whether the teacher was lying or not". For the one about the bias teacher who had been giving the storyteller all D’s, my mom had a similar experience with a teacher who hated my mom because my she has had blonde hair and blue eyes. This was a big deal to the teacher because she had relatives who had died in the holocaust. My mom who has no German blood, nor did she know about these events because she was in elementary school had been soloed out in class for things like not knowing about things they had not learned. Unfortunately no sweet revenge happens to this teacher at the time and she had quit the next year, but my mom got through it and ended up teaching.

Im pretty sure you wont see this, but umbridge taught at my sister’s highschool, and she was is equally as horribe to my sister. My sister is hispanic like me, but we have different dads, so she was more hispanic looking than me. Me on the other hand, i am native american, white and like i said before, hispanic. My sister had been the only one to be known to be hispanic in that class (also she went to lake stevens high shool wa). When my sister had been in that class, everyone but her passed with flying colors, while she managed to get an f. Our Mom does auditing and writing for philips, so she would normally proofread the papers for my sister, as well as for me. When my sisters papers whent in she had gotten a d-.... so what im saying is that this is not an irregullar thing for her. Im not sure if she still works there but if she does, ill show her true r/godly revenge
My middle school principal really disliked me. One day I was taking glassware to art class for my use in art projects, not wanting to run, I was tardy. I walked back across the campus, told the principal why I was tardy, obtained the tardy slip and returned to art class. In the middle of class the art teacher picked up the slip which I’d left on her desk. Looking at it while in the middle of instructing the class upon something or other, she paused long enough to look directly at me and call me a liar- in front of the entire class!She then proceeded to punish me by having me to write a theme. She neglected to give me a topic however. Arriving home I remembered an old book of college themes that Dad had picked up somewhere or other. The next day I handed in my carefully transcribed theme. The title of my theme? “Old Age Pensions For Retirement Age Teachers” Needless to say I didn’t have any further trouble with the teacher. The principal on the other hand is a whole other story.

I dont know if it is legal to abritrarily give bad grades, but proving it is because they dont like you is hard as hell. Especially something like english which is pretty subjective. If they play it smart and CTA, then good luck proving it
It's NOT legal to purposely give a student a low grade. However, it can be extremely freaking hard as hell trying to prove that a teacher is purposely giving you a low grade. A subject like Math is typically very objective when it comes to grading (2 + 2 = 4... that can't be argued). However, something like English where you write papers can be very subjective when it comes to grading, despite a teacher's claims that they are grading in an objective way.
I was getting As consistently in the subject in question. It was so easy, I barely had to listen in class as is, but I did anyway in case something came up that I wasn’t expecting. While my teacher was taking the role or setting up the lesson or something else that wasn’t teaching the class, I would often doodle in my book. My teacher *repeatedly* pulled me out of the class for this. Every single time, he threatened to take this issue to the higher ups, but every single time I basically made him look like an idiot and got off Scott free. He hated me, and I found it fucking hilarious. Needless to say, he wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
Most teachers are not... that’s why they are not professors. My sons teacher was picking on him. English class. Called a meeting with her. She instantly claimed well coming from home schooling. I immediately corrected her and stated, “he was in 8th grade Mrs. so and so’s class. She recommended my son for you class specifically!” I held him in basic classes the year before so he could get use to brick and mortar. The guidance counselor spoke to all his other teachers. He is in above level and about to start college mathematics corses. I said, you could bring this mind to a higher potential yet you constantly pick on his work when he asked you what he did wrong you blame it on him not writing down the assignments? Then I had him pull out his book that I check daily! With all notes of homework. She looked so embarrassed her red face said it all. He is now at a high b. From a low D. I was ready to have the teacher reviewed! He cannot wait to get out of her class. He will have her again in his senior class. He’s not excited but at least he will have a 2 year break, from her. I swear she has the start of dementia! She keeps forgetting to tell one class and telling her first class what she needed to tell the second class. I borrowed another students book, with all notes of class work. She said he forgot to write it down. Well my son pulls out the star students book and says really did she forget to write it down. That day you gave us that test no where did you tell us the proper information. The 3 of us looked at her like, what now?!? 🤨 She was picking on him because of home schooling. And she proved my point in the first 3 minutes of our meeting claiming he is behind coming from home schooling, and he was recommended by the 8th grade teacher of the school right beside the high school! Afterwards the guidance consoler said, she was sorry and noticed that immediately as this woman confirmed my worries immediately! She now keeps tabs on him and is making sure this teacher isn’t picking on him. Unbelievable!!! My son was so grateful I stood up to her. He tried to talk to her and she was so mean and rude to him. I put her in her place! Which is to teach, period! Help and guide, not ignore and blame. Oh heck no! I had my fair share of crappy teachers! Took me 3 years to prove how bad I was picked on for being poor. The math teacher was fired! She got a job out of the county I was in. Evil woman. When it was finally out how she treated me, others came forward and with our testimonies she was no longer allowed to work in that county. Soooo awesome!
Ms umbridge used to give me nightmares, I was terrified of that lady and she made me feel levels of anger and fear I didn’t even know was possible. It was super nice to see her be put in her place, at least sort of. As well as that, I’ve had garbage teachers my entire life, Out of all the teachers I’ve had I think there’s only 2 or 3 teachers that didn’t make my life living hell. Some of the teachers in this world are borderline ab*sive, if not actually ab*sive, and I honestly don’t know how some of them still have jobs and I wish I would’ve been brave enough to at least attempt revenge on any of them

I really feel for that student glad to hear that they worked it out and moved on.
I remember this one kid in elementary school that got bullied relentlessly by their home teacher and principal and used the harshest possible punishment for even the silliest of offenses, sometimes no offense at all. Being held after class, extra homework, being reemed out constantly. One time he had an in-school-suspension that was two weeks long and they kept him in a room with no working lights, blinds on the windows had to be shut apparently, wasn't allowed recess and only had a 10 minute lunch. He had to use the light from the office outside the room to read and write. A shame he didn't know any better at the time otherwise he might have been able to do something about the child abuse.

For the one about the bias teacher who had been giving the storyteller all D’s, my mom had a similar experience with a teacher who hated my mom because my she has had blonde hair and blue eyes. This was a big deal to the teacher because she had relatives who had died in the holocaust. My mom who has no German blood, nor did she know about these events because she was in elementary school had been soloed out in class for things like not knowing about things they had not learned. Unfortunately no sweet revenge happens to this teacher at the time and she had quit the next year, but my mom got through it and ended up teaching.

Im pretty sure you wont see this, but umbridge taught at my sister’s highschool, and she was is equally as horribe to my sister. My sister is hispanic like me, but we have different dads, so she was more hispanic looking than me. Me on the other hand, i am native american, white and like i said before, hispanic. My sister had been the only one to be known to be hispanic in that class (also she went to lake stevens high shool wa). When my sister had been in that class, everyone but her passed with flying colors, while she managed to get an f. Our Mom does auditing and writing for philips, so she would normally proofread the papers for my sister, as well as for me. My middle school principal really disliked me. One day I was taking glassware to art class for my use in art projects, not wanting to run, I was tardy. I walked back across the campus, told the principal why I was tardy, obtained the tardy slip and returned to art class. In the middle of class the art teacher picked up the slip which I’d left on her desk. Looking at it while in the middle of instructing the class upon something or other, she paused long enough to look directly at me and call me a liar- in front of the entire class!She then proceeded to punish me by having me to write a theme. She neglected to give me a topic however.
Arriving home I remembered an old book of college themes that Dad had picked up somewhere or other.
The next day I handed in my carefully transcribed theme. The title of my theme? “Old Age Pensions For Retirement Age Teachers”
Needless to say I didn’t have any further trouble with the teacher. The principal on the other hand is a whole other story.

Its not legal, since all students should have to be graded objectively, not subjectively by a teacher.
I dont know if it is legal to abritrarily give bad grades, but proving it is because they dont like you is hard as hell. Especially something like english which is pretty subjective. If they play it smart and CTA, then good luck proving it

It's NOT legal to purposely give a student a low grade. However, it can be extremely freaking hard as hell trying to prove that a teacher is purposely giving you a low grade. A subject like Math is typically very objective when it comes to grading (2 + 2 = 4... that can't be argued). However, something like English where you write papers can be very subjective when it comes to grading, despite a teacher's claims that they are grading in an objective way.

I was getting As consistently in the subject in question. It was so easy, I barely had to listen in class as is, but I did anyway in case something came up that I wasn’t expecting. While my teacher was taking the role or setting up the lesson or something else that wasn’t teaching the class, I would often doodle in my book. My teacher *repeatedly* pulled me out of the class for this. Every single time, he threatened to take this issue to the higher ups, but every single time I basically made him look like an idiot and got off Scott free. He hated me, and I found it fucking hilarious. Needless to say, he wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

I was ready to have the teacher reviewed! He cannot wait to get out of her class. He will have her again in his senior class. He’s not excited but at least he will have a 2 year break, from her. I swear she has the start of dementia! She keeps forgetting to tell one class and telling her first class what she needed to tell the second class. I borrowed another students book, with all notes of class work. She said he forgot to write it down. Well my son pulls out the star students book and says really did she forget to write it down. That day you gave us that test no where did you tell us the proper information. The 3 of us looked at her like, what now?!? 🤨
She was picking on him because of home schooling. And she proved my point in the first 3 minutes of our meeting claiming he is behind coming from home schooling, and he was recommended by the 8th grade teacher of the school right beside the high school! Afterwards the guidance consoler said, she was sorry and noticed that immediately as this woman confirmed my worries immediately!
She now keeps tabs on him and is making sure this teacher isn’t picking on him. Unbelievable!!!
My son was so grateful I stood up to her. He tried to talk to her and she was so mean and rude to him. I put her in her place! Which is to teach, period! Help and guide, not ignore and blame. Oh heck no! I had my fair share of crappy teachers! Took me 3 years to prove how bad I was picked on for being poor. The math teacher was fired! She got a job out of the county I was in. Evil woman. When it was finally out how she treated me, others came forward and with our testimonies she was no longer allowed to work in that county. Soooo awesome!

I had the exact opposite of mrs. Umbridge as my English teacher in my first three years of high school - she out on an evil facade to get us in line, but was an absolute sweetheart for the 2,5 years after, and easily one of the greatest teacher I’ve ever had.
