Please be careful using essential oils this liberally on your skin! I am only telling you because I wish someone had told me. I used essential oils like this for probably about 10 years before I started having issues with them. I cannot even use highly diluted oils on my skin without some irritation these days.. Essential oils are extremely strong medicine and meant to be used mostly for aromatherapy. I have learned that infusing whole herbs into oil/water works much better. (Kind of like eating a whole food usually treats your body better than just a processed piece of it.) So, I stick to oil infusions and herbal teas for my skin and hair. Fir, rose, horsetail, nettle, and chamomile are some of my personal favorites right now. Oh, and careful with citrus oils on the skin... they can make your skin more sensitive to the sun and cause worse burns than you would have had otherwise! Again, just letting you know my experience, not telling you what to do! (Loving the pink by the way! I am considering trying to do something similar with beet juice eventually.)

Thanks you very much to share your recipe. I am pretty shure it will help me to don't get hurt too much during first weeks with my new locks.
I choose to use castor oil (huile de ricin) instead of apricot, it is a very good oil for hairs (the best I think), it help them to be stronger and to grow faster.

Getting ready to make the oil mixture rn. I don't have rosemary, but I have some citronella that I use in my shampoo that has an earthy smell, and also bugs. I'm also making rose water tommarrow, so I'm thinking of using that as the water in the spray. I'll let you know how it turns out :). Ps you are the sweetness 🙅

I have about 2.5-3 inches of hair (I'm growing out my pixie cut), and I really want some nice bohemian looking dreadlocks like yours. I already know it's possible to install dreadlocks in short hair, but I was wondering if I could just crochet the extensions straight into my hair without deadlocking my hair first?

I have been looking to get dreads for about 6 year now, n after many years of research I'm giving in to it. However I work on food trucks and live in TX Sooo it gets hot, muggy and humid. Prob about 20x more heat and 10-15x more humid on the trucks then the triple digits that are all ready out side. I do love my job tho I get to meet Sooo many people from all over the world!. But anyway... I have heard from 2 out of five that having dreads is not a good idea because of that. I really don't want to believe that tho, I mean at this point my waving hair is just starting to dread on its own. Its almost like its telling me its ready. What would you say? I'm asking all the ladies I watch on here who have vlogs on dreads. Plz see my comment n let me know what you think. Stay goofy, life's too short for a long face!

How do you keep from having too much oil on the scalp and dreads if you add it daily? Seems like it would build up fairly fast - could you rinse them a couple times a week with just a pitcher of baking soda/water?

Diana Hirons she also has a video of doing an apple cider vinegar rinse that helps with excess oil. so using apple cider raw organic with mother thats very important

Be careful around cats and dogs with these oils. Many essential oils are toxic to cats and dogs. To my knowledge, if they are highly diluted the oils are usually not too worrisome for your pets though. I have 2 cats and a dog that have been fine around my beauty products and candles with these in them but I still figured it's worth mentioning. I'm currently experimenting with making these for my future dreads (I'm currently prepping my hair and scalp for the wash routine for dreads - hopefully doing them in December). One of my cats likes to chew on my dread extensions when ever she can get to them; fingers crossed that she won't take too much interest in my actual locks that aren't just braided in!
