Lynn Phillip's I know what you mean I've done all that for many years and am now going to do dreads on my natural hair and then do extention I have wanted dread for a long long time so am watching tutorial dreads on Google and RUclips I already have longish hair but still gonna do it good luck to you hun hope it goes well ohh and I'm 56 in June so who gives a shit what other people think as you know some people will comment arnt you abit old for that and my answer is Never to old lol
Why don't you both try some clip in accent dreads? The great thing about these are you aren't doing anything to your natural hair, they add thickness and you can take them in and out as you need to. I am just starting a shop to sell these. No that I am trying to promote or anything since I don't have a website or anything. if you want any help or ideas then just ask.
hi Elise, may i know where did you get your dreads extension from, any links? i am so inspired by your youtube. soooo......want to try it, thank you if you can have the supplier info.
I just wanted to say that i saw you once while i was travelling around the world and i didn't know who you were--but i remember seeing you and thinking that you were the most beautiful girl ive ever seen in my entire life and that i want to be just like you. I never said anything and i regret it to this day because i totally should have just spread the positivity. I have just now found this youtube channel and i am totally in awe. Don't let anyone tell you that you're too white for dreadlocks because you inspire me and i have never seen anyone more beautiful, girl.
Hi Elise! I have been watching your videos since I got dreadlocks and I just want to say you are such a light! I love your positivity. Thanks so much for the etsy code!! The beads in this video are so special
You definitely helped my decision! I’m finally getting dreadlocks next week. You’re stunning, I’m a redhead and I’ve always wanted this kind of hairstyle. So happy to finally jump into it!!!! Can’t wait to be able to decorate mine too
You are a beautiful soul and you inspire me to be patient for my half dreads to mature. Im so sorry for all the hate you receive, but im very grateful for your videos ,dont ever let the hate affect you or stop the good things you do for people through your videos ♡♡
i know im watching older videos. im from Syracuse, New York , USA.... i love love LOVE ur hair! u make me want dreads so bad. i love all ur decorations
Your dreads are so beautiful,I can't wait for my one year mark, mine r just over 3 months old but they r doing great a little wild but I'm being patient lol.
Hi Elise. I don't have any dreadlocks whatsoever, ha ha, but I like so much to watch you play with your hair. Your voice is so soft and relaxing... It's a therapy to calm down all the stress we have daily. You've got even more beautiful with these yarns and beads. I miss you singing and playing ukulele (I know it's a subject for the Life of Elise channel). It's time to another show! Do you play other instrument? I play guitar and piano. A little bit saxophone too... Love my keyboard, a Korg Kronos X.
I want dreadlocks sooo bad but I have no idea what I’d do after I don’t want them anymore. I think they’d suit me, they sure suit you... Yours are beautiful 😊❣️ great vid..
add ties to the new grow so that they"ll be groomed to grow uniform with the rest of the lock. and when retwisting twist two single locks together and keep it for a bout a week or so
I just noticed that I have a tattoo on my thigh only difference is my moon is smoking a joint got it back in the 70s I’m such a hippie still at 73 . But you inspire me. ✌️✌️✌️
Hey...how do you get that free hair look at the start of your dreads? Is it simply growing it out a bit? And if so, does that affect your dreads and how they form and what about maintenance ?
They look so pretty decorated! I've wanted to dreadlock my hair for the longest time but I don't think I'd suit it at. all. and it's such a commitment to test it out 😬 also where is the dress you're wearing from it's so nice!
+Clone-a-baby not very often anymore, and only a few needs to be pulled apart 😊 I think maybe once a month... honestly I don't think much about it, I just pull them apart when I find some that needs to 😊
Hi. recently discovered your channel and I enjoy you and your videos. I am slowly putting dreads in my red hair. started with three about four months ago and can't stop from putting in more and more! if you have time can you tell me...how long does it take for lose hair along the dreads to go away? hard to imagine it will just eventually pull in on its own but does it? I would have an easier time leaving them alone (I do probably too much crochet maintenance... carefully) if I could believe it'll go away over time. thank you Elise. youre easy to fall in love with! keep the videos coming.
Nvm you answered my question in the video. So I only want one dreadlock so that I can tie my hair either the dreadlock or put the dreadlock down. I also want to be able to shower my hair every other day which is why I want just one dreadlock. I just don't know how to section it so that it doesn't get so tangled with the hair around it
I love your hair😍 I really want to dread my hair but I'm scared it will affect job interviews and stuff ☹️ where are you from? You have a very unique accent :)
Talk to me about your loose hair at the top. When you first got your dreads installed, did you leave this part out, or have you grown this out since? Advice for someone who has the whole top part of my head dreaded but likes the top-loose look better would be appreciated. Thanks from Australia!
Elise Buch yea i know, i was just trying to help people out who only want to watch you decorate, not in the talking. i am always grateful for these comments when i don't have much time but want to watch an interesting like this one really quick :)
since now I know you've had dreads for years.. I've heard any synthetic hair is from horse hair and before they go into store's and web pages, some people don't wash them well. when people buy synthetic hair thinking its clean and put them on the head in there hair or whatever they get insects on there skelp. have you ever came accuse this issue before?
I know that lots of people here would disagree and I’m in all honesty not looking to start any fights but I don’t think it’s right that a privileged white person such as yourself should be allowed to have dreadlocks - a traditionally cultural black style of hair, designed for the African-American hair texture. Because you are not a person of colour you will never truly know how important culture is and how much need there is to preserve it. I appreciate that you are trying to break down race barriers, however I would appreciate it if you did not appropriate a historically black culture. #blacklivesmatter
A lot of cultures and people in history had "dreadlocks" -but obviously hadn't the same name-. Celtic people, egyptians, greecs, etc... It is in a lot of cultures. It's not eclusive to african culture. :) Celtic people used to braid and let their hair naturally form deadlocks. It is possible with every type of hair, tho. Even greecs did dreadlocks and they're not african. :) Culture is different for everyone. Some don't care, some love their roots (i love my celtic/gaulois/breton roots as i am french). It's not about poc or black people. Studiying history would open your eyes. We're all culture mixed and a lot of things like for exemple locks are in many cultures at the same time. It's sad it can hurt a lot of people even if, for exemple, she didn't wanted to hurt you nor black people :(... sorry for the bad english :) it's not my native langage.
Nessa Marie she's beautiful, so is her hair. it's her life not yours. Butt out. if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. May the stars aline for you.

Why don't you both try some clip in accent dreads? The great thing about these are you aren't doing anything to your natural hair, they add thickness and you can take them in and out as you need to.

+Tabitha Alspaugh when I'm nervous or anything else like that I bite my lip. I did and now it looks like this 😄
Elise Buch looks more like you got hit on the mouth
they’re called locs not dreadlocks.
They oldest known name for them is from 16th century England where they were called Fairy Locks so Dreadlocks is more accurate than just locs.

*cough* appropriation🤔🤔🤔🤔
shiloh bailey dreads were there before people knew about other races so almost everyone had hairstyle's like that
