      @Potatoman AAA i think you'd be fine doing it once a week or maybe every 2 weeks, not every time you wash your hair. I do this once in awhile because it makes my hair and scalp feel so clean but i don't think its a permanent fix, or that there is one. Just take care of your hair and scalp and overtime it'll be able to withstand more

    • @johnk2452
      @johnk2452 5 лет назад +22

      @@bhavyaharitha284 Nizoral contains, among other ingredients, HYDROCHLORIC ACID ... along with some other "household" items. On the scalp, the HCL, of course, will act JUST LIKE the ACETIC acid ... which is vinegar. Most likely, there are several OTHER acids which can ALSO do the trick ... but, given the inherent nature of acids, one MUST KNOW what one is doing. Note: you may be aware that, relatively speaking, Nizoral is not cheap.

    just throwing this out there because it may help someone else out. i went to a dermatologist about 6-7 years ago because of dandruff, and they said i had sebhorreic dermatitis and that there was no cure. so fast forward to present, the vet diagnosed my cat with ringworm. So i tried some of the cats Miconazole on my flaky spots, and in about a week, the spots were almost completely gone. So it wasnt seborrheic dermatitis causing my dandruff, it was a ringworm infection.

    I grew up with chronic scalp issues and bad dandruff.
    I went to all the doctors and tried all the treatments and special dandruff shampoos etc.
    I solved it by accident 35 years ago. I tried a 2 dollar bottle of shampoo. I think it was Suave.
    The key words on the bottle were, “for dry and damaged hair”. At first, I found my scalp and hair oily but I gave it a try and after about 2 weeks my dandruff problem was gone forever. I tried using other shampoos once and a while for different reasons but my itching and dandruff would come back after a week or two.
    I have been dandruff free for 35 years. I noticed the other day that the herbal essence one I used for many years doesn’t say for dry and damaged hair any more. So I am not sure if the one that says moisturizing or hydrating is the same thing.
    Right now, I use Desert essence, coconut shampoo for dry hair. It works, not sure it is the best one. Basically any shampoo that says for dry and damaged hair will work.
    I don’t have oily scalp. And I don’t have dandruff.!!
    Good luck!

    I already knew about ACV I just wanted to see what Dr. Oz said about it. Also for SOME people eating way too much daily can cause a problem on the scalp. I had to cut back the sour cream my oldest teen ate because even though I cleansed her scalp a week before going to the salon, once they cleansed her scalp they noticed a white film on her scalp, it wasn’t regular dandruff either it was a cakey film from eating too much sour cream, she’s now cut it back so much that she barely eats any in a month if at all. I new it was the sour cream because both of my children eat Greek yogurt but my youngest hates sour cream, so even though my youngest ate yogurt she didn’t have the cakey film on her scalp. They haven totally stopped eating dairy just not as much as they used to and my oldest stopped eating sour cream all together. Also note some people process dairy differently.

    As someone who struggled with dandruff for a long time. Know that dandruff can be treated until it’s cured and It took me a long time to know what worked that finally cured my dandruff.
    If you use anti dandruff shampoo, apply the shampo to the scalp NOT the strands. DO NOT use anti dandruff shampoo everyday because it could irritate the scalp and cause an even bigger problem. Use a different shampoo for the strand only. After a few months of trying the same shampoo and hasn’t cured the problem, then try another shampoo or even try making your own. I used a kiwi with half an onion to make my remedy which helped a ton in removing my dandruff.

      Hey one ingredient is apple cider vinegar and what is the second one?

    • @lorie932
      @lorie932 5 лет назад +2

      Apple cider vinegar and water. You mix it and that’s it. It improved my scalp condition slowly right after the first use and after the 5th or 6th use, no more problem.

    Having dandruff or psoriasis of the scalp is never fun and especially when your scalp itches a lot if you aren’t washing your hair enough and the dandruff flakes build up :(

    Hey, I actually have really bad Dandruff problems, I’m a kid and don’t have any ACV at home, could I use Rice Vinegar? I googled it and it has very close to the same pH level of ACV. Hopefully this works, because I get bullied a lot at school for it. Thanks Dr. Oz

      You can use lemon juice too. Just cut a lemon and rub on your scalp. Another helpful item is curd. Or ask your parents to buy Nizoral shampoo...it's most effective.

      @@nayanikanath8949 About nizoral shampoo: Does it have a lot of chemicals in it. My teenage son has dandruff and dry scalp and I don't want him to use something full of chemical stuff in it.
