My knees ? or possibly only one knee would buckle on me years ago and it took me years to figure out why. I was wearing 3 inch heel boots which looked cool but my knees weren't thrilled. I recall 2 times when I think it came completely out of the socket but immediately went back in. Someone caught me as I stumbled so I didn't fall. I'm 76 now and am trying to do your exercises but I do have significant pain when sitting down slowly as you prescribe. Standing up is easier but sometimes that's painful too. Stairs have become an enemy. But I intend to keep trying. Thank you for these informative videos.
it's happened to me all my life, ever since i was little. no visible reason, at any time. it scared me away from sports, even running.sometimes I walk and get a sudden fear that it will happen and i panic
Wonderful Excercises 👏👏👏❤️ I am doing both these excersises now with My problem caused by a nasty fall. going to the Physio, thank you Will for your Inspiration.
Thank you! I notice I go through this more in the cold weather. I’m going to try a heat pad on my knee and then incorporate these exercises before my runs.
Sorry to hear about your problem. I'm afraid I can't offer any specific medical advice for anyone over the internet without a proper assessment. Best to get checked by a professional for issues like this. I hope that helps!
Hi I’m having trouble with my knee giving way learning to walk with my rbk prosthetic leg , my problem is weakness from being in a wheelchair for almost two years, i just wanted to know if these exercises could be beneficial to me?
My right knee cap is moving up towards my femur and clicks. Painful can’t walk right especially down and up steps.. mri showed nothing but it can’t be right I can barely walk… also having hip pain bc of this along with calf and foot pain but the knee is what I believe is causing this… completely throwing my entire right leg off… any ideas? Ortho is brushing me off.. next trip is er bc I can’t do anything..
Thanks for two p t exercise u showed..demonstrated...thks so much. Question. I have severe osteoarthritis..for the first exercise..stand up..slowly going down..sitting down on chair...is it ok to get something to hold on to as I go try to sit down ?? That going down sitting down the chair part is difficult for me..but if I am holding on to something I might be able to complete the exercise. Just wondering what u think. Lots of thanks for ur p.t exercise. Filomena. "" Amy"" b. Estrada..bay area california
I have no knee pain. I have no knee trauma event history. Knee gives way every once in a while. Then goes away. It is like turning off the water hose…bingo. There is no pain before during or after the instant loss. It cannot be recreated by repeating the motion. I can’t make it happen. No videos explain this. Every video begins with injury, pain or trauma. There is no muscle weakness. I am active, well nourished, on no medication, 75 years old.
I actually have NO pain and my knee has started giving way. I cannot remember any incident at all. I have bilateral hip replacements and dread falling.
Great exercises - only my left knee due to an old injury - Geat inspiration.
Very helpful. Thanks

Very helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
You always help.
How do you work toward getting the strength to get up from the chair without using your hand to push you up ?
Thank you‼️
You're welcome!
Thanks for the video. But my knee actually buckle when I do the second exercise. Should I just continue regardless?

Is knee giving way possibly caused by spine L5 or s1?
What are the symptoms of knee giving way? Is limping one of the symptoms?
