I started doing yoga with this video. At the time I was 305 lbs . Over the past year of keto, yoga and moderate power walking I have lost 108 lbs! Thank you for this video!

I started off doing this video alone, 3x a week. then i added 15min of pilates to follow this and added more fruits and veggies to my diet. A year later, I am down to 160lbs! I am very overweight, have stage four cancer and lost part of my right heel to cancer before it spread. I use yoga to help move and keep my body as limber as possible. I have also been on the Mediterranean Diet for several months and enjoy it quite a bit more than I thought possible. I like this video because it goes at a good pace for me. Everything is well explained and I don't feel like you get away from basics like so many other videos do. Thank you!
This is probably my 15th beginner yoga video that I’ve tried, and it’s the first one that I have actually completed. I gave up half way for all the other “beginner yoga” vids cause I either get frustrated that I can’t do a pose or when the pose hurts too much for me. But this vid is truly the best beginner yoga vid ever! I feel relaxed, no pain and feel good after I finished it. Thanks for this!
This was my first time doing yoga. I am obese and had my struggles but I was happy to be able to complete the full video...although not nearly as gracefully 😅
You will get better and better and better. Dawn also please try breathing meditation. Eyes closed gentle breathing feeling your chest gently rise and fall.
@@mantismom7016 as with any exercise regimen it will help you lose weight if you moderate what you eat. It is also very low impact and makes you feel really good. I'm not overweight but I'm not "fit" and this is getting me where I want to be!
I've always struggled with exercising. I'm 230 pounds and I have mild asthma so cardio and lifting has never really suited me. You have NO idea how happy and proud of myself I was to finish this workout. Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher! Hopefully I can keep up the good work.
I lasted 4 minutes but I'm going to keep trying. Im obese. 235 lbs. Just found out im going to be a grandma and Im going to lose weight and get healthy for my family and my first grandbaby. Im 46 years old. Thank you for this video. I think this will also help my sciatic pain. Had surgery in 2013 for a slipped disk.. I've been depressed. Gained tones of weight. At the end of 2012 I hurt my back, lost my career, had to medically retire, lost my best friend.. my brother was a year and a half younger than me.. 35 at the time he passed and it was very hard for me.. had back surgery a week after we put him to rest. Went into a bad depression, Overdosed several times.. in constant pain.. today I found out my 29 year old girl is pregnant. Today is the start of changing my life.

My body was stiff at starting but gradually as i kept doing the next pose it seemed easier. All those who wanna lose weight and be healthy through yoga , i wish them luck and power for a continuous workout and motivation. You ll be slim soon , hang in there! 💗

I did Bikram Yoga for many years which does not have vinyasa. This video was great for helping breakdown the parts. Best things about your videos: - You start the yoga right at the top of the video. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT AND SO FEW YOGA TEACHERS DO THIS. I love. Literally love that you start each sessions with, "Hello, Yogis". - Your audio is done in a dub over your demo. Again. This makes is so easy to hear you and see the postures - You have a variety of levels, types, and lengths of videos. Please keep up the good work!
Is it weird that the hardest part I found when doing this for the first time (first time doing yoga too) I struggled to control my breathing, I kept inhaling and exhaling at the wrong times. How do I improve this?
practice! i’ve been doing yoga a while now and at first i struggled with breathing but as you do it more and more your body will adapt and it will be mostly effortless!
Try another one of SarahBeths videos , she says when to inhale and exhale during some other routines in the Beginner playlist, that may help, so will more practice
I am in my mid 50's and have struggled keeping up and actually being able to do the yoga I have tried. Thank you for your pace and expectation of a beginner being right in line with what I am capable of at this time!!
Woo chile, I did this after a 30 minutes jog, and let me tell you, I’m sweating all over the place. I’ll do this every morning for a week and then move to the next video ! This was my first time doing yoga, and ai loved it ! Thank you 🙏🏽

I just started Yoga to help with core strength and being quarantined at home I wanted to try workouts I would be too embarrassed to go to a class for and this is amazing I do it every day before and after other workouts I can really feel it working my core!
my spirit guide said to try yoga :) and she specifically said a 15 min one and I have been trying to lose weight (even tho she didn't say for weight loss)

Did this yesterday soo easily and didn’t realize it will have an impact. But I woke up this morning with sore abs and my lower core felt tightened. Tried it again today and grew out of breath easily which implies how effective this workout may be!
It is three weeks now and I am doing it almost everyday.. I feel so fit and active after doing this every morning. My husband has also started this yoga now.. 😀.. thank you so much for the video..

I’m extremely happy that I found you on RUclips. I’ve been looking for something I can start easy and build strength. I was always athletic and strong. I was paralyzed about 12 years ago and told I’d never walk again. Needless to say I struggled and w the help of my sons I began to walk very slowly. To a walker then a cane. I can’t do any hard jarring things and I remembered how much I loved yoga years ago. I am now doing my yoga w you and it’s such a joy because of the inspiration you provide as well. I have arthritis in my lower back. Getting out of bed most days is hard, but movement is my cure.. I started this workout a month ago as a warm up to my workouts and it has helped me really focus on my core which is immensely helping my lower back. Never thought I would like yoga as I am not flexible at all. Thank you!

I see some yoga that start off good but then I run into stuff I'm not advanced enough to do & it's discouraging. But me & my 10 year old daughter are starting this one in the morning as a daily routine. After doing this one for a few days, I want to move onto the 7 day Yoga. I have a cold today (getting a covid test tomorrow) and I was so thankful I could actually make it through this without modifications or breaks, without coughing. my chest and sinuses feel clearer too. I've commented before but seriously...this is a lifesaver. You can do this workout with thin walls, thin floors, zero energy, even sick, and it always makes you feel better. As someone who is trying to gently ease themselves back into fitness, this is so perfect.
Just did it and it was amazing! I love the way you tell us to remember certain areas of our bodies during a pose. It takes the strain of that muscle to another part of your body. Subscribed and will be doing more of these

This is my 3rd video with you. I very much enjoy your beginner videos. I’m currently experimenting to see if yoga will help me regulate my upper back and neck pain from an old motorcycle accident. Also I’d like to tone up my body hence trying this workout. I find you very easy to follow, you have a nice pace and clear and concise verbal commands. Thank you very much for all the effort and time you expended in making these videos. Just one question if I may, would you recommend your 7 day challenge for a fledgling beginner like myself or would you recommend I become more proficient with the beginner videos?
You can certainly do the 7 Day Yoga Challenge and modify whatever feels like too much. And you can always repeat it week after week to measure your progress. It will be challenging to start but that's good 😄 You'll get familiar and in shape FAST
Man over the past year with the quarantine I've stopped going to the gym. I'm 6'6" tall around 215 lbs so I'm not in horrible shape but I'm not a ripped guy just kind of average. Let me tell you trying to balance and keep my core tight all while trying to focus on breathing is pretty hard. I just got to stick with it I'm mostly doing yoga for coordination/balance/stress relief. I hope everyone has a great day!

I am moderately obese and yesterday did this routine. It was my first time doing yoga. I was sweating a little bit, but found it easy to follow and relaxing while still working every part of my body. I did it agian today and did much better! I also tried out the 10 Minute morning yoga for Beginners and plan to make it a part of my daily routine!

This was a great start to yoga. I am a total beginner and was able to follow this. I feel that the shorter presentation format will make it more accessible and then I will be able to incorporate them into my (newly established) routine.
I decided to start yoga I need to try to relax my muscles having a sick parent fighting for they lives gets a toll on you thanks to your video I feel more relax and my joints are not hurting me no mod thanks keep up the great videos! I did subscribe
I’m 5’ tall & 30 lbs overweight, Sara Beth’s voice is so soothing & at a great pace I didn’t feel overwhelmed or wondered when it would end, I actually kept doing some routines for another 8 minutes. I know over time I’ll build up confidence & learn to breath properly - I keep holding my breath 🙃

I'd started following your videos during the Covid Lockdown, and loved them immediately. SInce then there has been several ups and downs in my life and my yoga practice suffered sometimes for a few months!! But whenever ai get back to it I don't feel judged or that I need to perform. Your videos give me hope and are extremely unforgiving. Thank you so much.
Since Covid I have not gone to the gym, even though they have opened back up. Avid cyclist - 2,000 mi per year.... but I lost my srength and began to get backaches and shoulder pain. This video has been fantastic and I have done it dozens of times. Love it. Will try more! Thank you so much! Chris

Is it weird that the hardest part I found when doing this for the first time (first time doing yoga too) I struggled to control my breathing, I kept inhaling and exhaling at the wrong times. How do I improve this?
practice! i’ve been doing yoga a while now and at first i struggled with breathing but as you do it more and more your body will adapt and it will be mostly effortless!

Woo chile, I did this after a 30 minutes jog, and let me tell you, I’m sweating all over the place. I’ll do this every morning for a week and then move to the next video ! This was my first time doing yoga, and ai loved it ! Thank you 🙏🏽

my spirit guide said to try yoga :) and she specifically said a 15 min one and I have been trying to lose weight (even tho she didn't say for weight loss)
what I've been doing too is a 17 hour fast so I can only eat between 11am-7pm but I do allow myself water or tea during the fast
I hope you stay strong throughout your journey 🙏 trust me, it's going to get harder and you'll feel like nothing's changing, but your body is building strength and your mind will be so peaceful and you'll feel so confident in your body! Did this yesterday soo easily and didn’t realize it will have an impact. But I woke up this morning with sore abs and my lower core felt tightened. Tried it again today and grew out of breath easily which implies how effective this workout may be!
It is three weeks now and I am doing it almost everyday.. I feel so fit and active after doing this every morning. My husband has also started this yoga now.. 😀.. thank you so much for the video..

I’ve tried to follow other yoga for beginners videos and always end up not wanting to do it again because it felt too tiring. I’m extremely happy that I found you on RUclips. I’ve been looking for something I can start easy and build strength. I was always athletic and strong. I was paralyzed about 12 years ago and told I’d never walk again. Needless to say I struggled and w the help of my sons I began to walk very slowly. To a walker then a cane. I can’t do any hard jarring things and I remembered how much I loved yoga years ago. I am now doing my yoga w you and it’s such a joy because of the inspiration you provide as well. a really nice way to reset my body after a couple challenging workouts. great opportunity to really take the time to pay attention to how i feel flowing in between certain foundational poses, and also to work on fundamentals and releasing unnecessary tension

I have arthritis in my lower back. Getting out of bed most days is hard, but movement is my cure.. I started this workout a month ago as a warm up to my workouts and it has helped me really focus on my core which is immensely helping my lower back. Never thought I would like yoga as I am not flexible at all. Thank you!
Never did yoga before and never thought it would make you sweat! Am currently fat and unfit and this made my heartrate go up! easy and fast! Very east to fit in during a day. It was actually kinda fun! Thank you!

I see some yoga that start off good but then I run into stuff I'm not advanced enough to do & it's discouraging. But me & my 10 year old daughter are starting this one in the morning as a daily routine. After doing this one for a few days, I want to move onto the 7 day Yoga. This is the first yoga video where I can really be a beginner! Also, the first one that actually allows me to breathe slowly hahahha
I have a cold today (getting a covid test tomorrow) and I was so thankful I could actually make it through this without modifications or breaks, without coughing. my chest and sinuses feel clearer too. I've commented before but seriously...this is a lifesaver. You can do this workout with thin walls, thin floors, zero energy, even sick, and it always makes you feel better. As someone who is trying to gently ease themselves back into fitness, this is so perfect.
Just did it and it was amazing! I love the way you tell us to remember certain areas of our bodies during a pose. It takes the strain of that muscle to another part of your body. Subscribed and will be doing more of these

This is my 3rd video with you. I very much enjoy your beginner videos. I’m currently experimenting to see if yoga will help me regulate my upper back and neck pain from an old motorcycle accident. Also I’d like to tone up my body hence trying this workout. I find you very easy to follow, you have a nice pace and clear and concise verbal commands. Thank you very much for all the effort and time you expended in making these videos.
Just one question if I may, would you recommend your 7 day challenge for a fledgling beginner like myself or would you recommend I become more proficient with the beginner videos?
You can certainly do the 7 Day Yoga Challenge and modify whatever feels like too much. And you can always repeat it week after week to measure your progress. It will be challenging to start but that's good 😄 You'll get familiar and in shape FAST
Man over the past year with the quarantine I've stopped going to the gym. I'm 6'6" tall around 215 lbs so I'm not in horrible shape but I'm not a ripped guy just kind of average. Let me tell you trying to balance and keep my core tight all while trying to focus on breathing is pretty hard. I just got to stick with it I'm mostly doing yoga for coordination/balance/stress relief. I hope everyone has a great day!

I am moderately obese and yesterday did this routine. It was my first time doing yoga. I was sweating a little bit, but found it easy to follow and relaxing while still working every part of my body. I did it agian today and did much better! I also tried out the 10 Minute morning yoga for Beginners and plan to make it a part of my daily routine!

I’m 5’ tall & 30 lbs overweight, Sara Beth’s voice is so soothing & at a great pace I didn’t feel overwhelmed or wondered when it would end, I actually kept doing some routines for another 8 minutes. I know over time I’ll build up confidence & learn to breath properly - I keep holding my breath 🙃

I'd started following your videos during the Covid Lockdown, and loved them immediately. SInce then there has been several ups and downs in my life and my yoga practice suffered sometimes for a few months!! But whenever ai get back to it I don't feel judged or that I need to perform. I've never done yoga, just intense core strength workouts. This was a lot easier but still felt like it did something. It was really chill actually.
Since Covid I have not gone to the gym, even though they have opened back up. Avid cyclist - 2,000 mi per year.... but I lost my srength and began to get backaches and shoulder pain. This video has been fantastic and I have done it dozens of times. Love it. Will try more! Thank you so much! Chris
