Fantastic idea to protect the walls from the inevitable in a garage. One thing you might want to pay attention to, is you put the pressure treated wood directly on the concrete. Usually you put a barrier between. It will probably be fine for a very long time, but just check it now and again.
Good question. I’m not an electrician but when you cut the hole in the steel panel you could keep and tab and bend it into the electrical box. That would allow you to screw the ground wire to it.
The screws are long enough to go into the studs. I mark the stud locations on the bottom board before putting on the steel so I know where to put the screws.
I will be using this same method on my small cabin that I have been running tongue and groove from the three foot level up to the ceiling
Sounds great! Thanks for checking in and sharing.

Good point. I did put a bead of silicone on the bottom of each board but sill plate foam probably would be better.
Very nice LE.
Thank you very much! Good to hear from you M.
Awesome look bro!
Thanks
Looks awesome!
Thank you
If there is a recepacle there, how would you ground the metal panels?

Where did you buy that kind of corragated metal, in Canada? Please and thank you,
I found it at Menards.
Do you have to have drywall
For this ? Is paneling okay
Paneling would be ok 👍
Nice work and functional. I pass.
It was quite a bit of work. Now that it’s done I’m happy, but it took almost a year to find time to complete the garage.
You’re putting screws into drywall so how is that holding up?

Where did you get the panels?
