    GUYS! I’ve been skiing every year since I was 6 and I watch these kinds of videos so I can give tip! This is literally amazing watch this video EVERYTHING you need is in this video! She nailed it!

      Lily's Camera Roll I’ve never been skiing but I’ve been wanting to go! Where did u buy the skiing outfit and shoes (I have no clue especially in a hot state like Texas haha)

    • @lily-fw7zb
      @lily-fw7zb 4 года назад +3

      Tina Tran I bought my stuff at a local ski shop but I have also ordered online and that is great as well especially when the shops don’t have everything. Brands such as burton, marmot, columbia, north face, Patagonia, smartwool, spyder, and obermeyer are great! Hope that helped!

    THANK YOU FOR INSISTING ON A HELMET!!!!! It blows my mind how many people go on the slopes without one. They're so important.

    Don‘t forget sunscreen and vaseline to protect your skin from the sun and cold wind!
    Although i live in the alps and go skiing and snowboarding every year there were still a few helpful tips i didn‘t know yet
    Btw my dad used to put cushions in my pants haha
    Love your videos 🌻

      Is 1 coat of sunscreen sufficient under makeup? Or do you normally reapply? I'm going to the French Alps in a month 😬

    • @white1145
      @white1145 5 лет назад +2

      heather tate Hey I always wore only one layer of sunscreen and it was okay for me! Be sure to have something high coverage!!

    • @white1145
      @white1145 5 лет назад +3

      Maybe if you’re out all day you should wear one layer on the morning and reapply it after lunch and maybe again at 4pm. Even if it’s cloudy the sun is still really dangerous because it can get trough clouds. Be safe and have fun!!

    I know a helmet sounds like an obvious piece of gear but I swear 80% of the girls (at least where I snowboard) don't wear a helmet. I know it's not super cute, but please wear a helmet ladies!😜 Loved the vid Karissa! 😍🏂

  • @heyitsbea7149
    @heyitsbea7149 5 лет назад +44

    I ski and have only tried snowboarding once (didn't even ski the next day my butt was so sore haha) and I agree with all of these honestly. When I go ski I often see people with just some normal winter coat instead of a jacket and ski pants made for skiing and that's one of the biggest mistakes I think someone can make. A normal winter jacket isn't made for skiing and after a while will get wet (same goes for gloves) and it's the worst feeling when you're cold and wet.

    • @emildegerth
      @emildegerth 5 лет назад

      heyitsbea like I know it’s different but most pro park skier just wear hoodies and ski pants instead of real jackets

    • @heyitsbea7149
      @heyitsbea7149 5 лет назад +1

      Emil Degerth I mean sure some do but you don’t see them doing competitions in a hoodie. Plus the mountain is really cold unless you go towards the end of the season or if you’re on a smaller mountain so honestly going with a jacket just makes more sense and if you fall it protects your clothes from getting wet

    • @RohithIntrestEmporium
      @RohithIntrestEmporium Год назад

      @@emildegerth the casual skier shouldn’t dress like a pro park skier just a park skier they should have a shell and insulating layers like mid and base layer etc.

    Wow thanks for the video! I've always been intrigued by snowboarding and this year I'm trying to plan my very first trip but I have so many questions. Like per the jacket.. are puffers suitable? Was planning to go with my brother and he's been saying that he will take his regular The North Face puffer jacket out there to the mountain. Good idea or nah?
    One question that you will probably find silly is what clothes can u wear when you are out and about in the village? Could u bring your regular shoes with you (say a pair of air force 1s)?

      Fun! You'll have a blast. You could wear a puffer, but it likely wouldn't be the best option. Snow jackets have snow skirts/ vents etc to keep you as comfortable as possible. Again, you *could* wear air force 1s but you'd likely be cold. I generally wear a boot of some sort :)
