They probably should've kept it light hearted and episodic. Helluva Boss quickly deviated from its advertised synopsis of 'demon company going to Earth to kill for their clients.'' That's now sidelined/almost completely nonexistent. Probably should've kept the heavy stuff for Hazbin Hotel.

I had a feeling it would go down this route. Im glad they tried it, nothing wrong with that, but they really need to figure out when its appropriate for comedy to be included. I keep thinking back to the early seasons of Rick and Morty and how Rick's character was expanded back then. I think theyre trying to do something similar with Helluva Boss. Trying to make bad characters sympathetic. But they havent really grasped why it worked well for R&M or how to execute that kind of writing.

Striker was not the Striker I love in this episode. To me, Striker was that serious, cocky but loved villain that would do whatever it took to boost his ego. Then when I saw this episode I was extremely disappointed. The statue, him getting pissy over the singing, all of it didn’t fit what the show portrayed in the earlier episodes. Imagine how much of a good twist it would’ve been if Striker didn’t listen to Stella and tried to kill Stolas anyway. Millie and Moxxie could’ve gotten so much development n shit too during the fight scene. Striker turned into a Chaz joke atp. The thing he said about how he hates Royals could’ve been introduced so much more, and would make the plot the intensity we wanted.

I have been DYING to see the issues of demon hierarchies/classism addressed in some way by the characters. It is such a core theme in the background of the plot lines they are trying to knit together. It is the basis of the IMP business and Blitzo's need to climb higher in society, is it the basis of Stolas x Stella divorce, it is at the core of Stoliz and it is a great character motive and temptation of Striker. But nothing is done with that. To be fair you would have to tap into world building which this show for some reason keeps avoiding. But the way Striker literally told Stolas how much he hates the rich in the latest episode, only for Stolas to just kinda stare and do there "And yet you participate in society"- meme. Like, are there no gears turning in any of the characters' heads? Granted, Stolas was in danger but I highly doubt this changes anything in the status quo since it hasn't happen thus far. Btw, I have liked this show for a long time and I don't hate the team behind it or anything. I am just frustrated with the creative decisions that have been taken, just like a lot of others seem to be.

    • @gigachad3925
      @gigachad3925 Год назад +51

The fact that Striker begrudgingly accepted Stella’s change of plans is actually incredibly consistent with his character. If we keep his thematic emphasis on class struggle in mind, it actually makes sense that he would back down and take the money from Stella, because it means he’s making MORE than he would have. Being able to get more money is actually a big priority for him, because as he illuminated in his speech, there’s obviously a big class divide in hell, so getting paid is a big deal for imps such as himself. If it’s a matter of sustaining himself, obviously he’s going to take the money. People are calling him a hypocrite for calling out royals yet working for Stella, but how else is he supposed to make money as an assassin? I’m sure he despises Stella as much as Stolas, but he can’t let that show when money’s on the line. We still have no idea if he does have any bigger plans long term, which may end up targeting people like Stella and Andrealphus as well.

That’s what I thought, too. Blitz contemplated joining Striker to kill Stolas because Striker knew they wanted the same thing: to be more than what they are by killing a more powerful being.
“You and I are greater than most of our kind” it wasn’t just manipulation to get out of getting shot, Striker respected Blitz and saw his strength and ability in the pain games as well as staring a successful business.
People have tolled me its up to interpretation, but its RIGHT THERE. You can see it in Blitz’s face, he was thinking about it, and he only blew it off when Moxxie appeared. It was a great internal-conflict for Blitz.

Sure, they can die like everyone else, but remember, their sex is also pretty rough with Blitz being hinted at to hurt Stolas a lot in the bedroom, even if consensually. @PIB2000 Год назад +133

Yeah, there's a reason that there's so much Angel and Alastor fan and official content compared to the female characters. Angel honestly feels more like the main character than Charlie, considering he's the first to be introduced and has the most impact on the plot of the pilot, and they kind of did blow their load with the prequel comic, since those explained to us why he joined the hotel in the first place and that if it fails, he'll be forced back into an abusive relationship. Meanwhile, Charlie doesn't have nearly as much on the line. It hasn't been established if a sinner being sent to Heaven is actually possible, so for all we know, this could be all for nothing, and if she fails, well, she can just go back to living a soft and cushy lifestyle. Sure, maybe her life isn't like that, but that just goes to show how little we know about her even though she's supposedly the main protagonist. She doesn't have that engaging hook that makes you want to follow her. Of course, since the pilot is no longer canon, I will gladly eat my words if she actually does become a character, but given the track record so far, I won't hold my breath.

To be honest I personally loved that scene. To me it didn't ruin the tone or the story at all because it was only well after that bit of backstory that the dildos were revealed which to me is the reason that joke worked so well cause you're like "Oh yeah, those things are still here and I totally forgot" and they don't mention it during or afterward. The heaviness of the situation is still in tact and they got a joke out of it afterward. Ep 3 as a whole is actually pretty great imo. To me the tonal whiplash comes from the weird pacing in episodes like ep 4 where an amazingly well animated serious and heavy fight with Striker is being paralleled with "wuh oh! Loona and Blitz at the vet" or ep 2 where the jokes are so weirdly placed and just don't land.

    • @Zelnyair
      @Zelnyair Год назад +57

It's worse than that. It's that instead of making that a shock joke, the show doubles down on the dildos by having them pop up at the wedding. Then, it's Millie not just using them as weapons, but doing jokes with them like Chaz getting one shoved down his throat.
Oh, and you know you mentioned how Crimson made the dildos appear after a real heavy scene that showed us Moxxie's backstory? It's that the dildos are meant to represent Crimson's bigotry ("I decorated it more to your kind's taste") and we're still meant to find the fact they showed dildos funny. It is far worse than the joke being "Lol, dildo"
I cannot describe how pretentious it is to show dildos but know you have to censor them for RUclips, either. That's just pushing a joke that was never going to work. It's like how S2E4 had numerous instances of 'cunt' being said but censored. None of these jokes are even ones where the censorship is the joke. They're just forcing failed jokes into it.

You could argue that Stella probably has a poor relationship with Via, but they've never interacted on screen so we still don't know what their relationship is like, and even with Via, both of her plots revolve around her strained relationship with her dad. I'd love to see an episode where Via and Stella interact, given Via's entire aesthetic it would be cool to see it clash with Stella's traditional beliefs.

I think a good way they could show a relationship between Stella and Octavia is Stella trying to convince Octavia that the problems within their family was entirely caused by Stolas. And how he “ruined the family name” by sleeping with an imp, a demon that is of lower class.
I’ve seen many real life scenarios where one or both of the parents in a strained or divorced relationship will try to convince their child/children that everything bad that happened in the family is entirely the other parent’s fault, in an attempt to get the child/children on their side only. It’s definitely happening with my cousin and her mother, who is feeding her lies about my uncle, my cousin’s father, which has made her not want to talk to him again, despite his efforts to try to reach out to her and explain his side of the story. Stella could also try to turn Octavia against her father in an attempt to get her fully on her side so she can subject her traditional beliefs onto Octavia, and make her the “perfect” princess she’s always wanted for her family’s image.

They are putting so much into it for so little in return, so yes, in some way, any kind of criticism would feel like an attack on their hard work.
But that still doesn't make the show immune to critiques. Its problems have steadily gotten more and more apparent to the point where I can't just turn a blind eye anymore. It's also not really about that. The point, if I were to have made it, is that a lot of criticisms are just unfair. People actively call out the creators by name and expect completely cordial responses and immediate solutions to perceived problems when that's simply unfeasible. People who don't produce anything and know nothing about the industry are giving contradictory criticisms yet collectively agree that they all need to be listened to in order to fix the show, and the crew very fairly reject criticism that isn't framed as a way to improve what they're going for but to change the direction of their work.
And to every layman on the net, yeah, it seems easy to deal with and you'll say it's fair because you'd do it to Disney or Dreamworks, but not only is that just not true (Pixar directors aren't called out by name), but those creators have a lot more cushion from criticism by having a lot more resources to hide behind. So even if you outright harass a Dreamworks director, they don't need their social media to find work and they're often not even the ones coming up with the stories. They also have numerous projects and never need to hear criticism of any particular one. And they also get paid whether you liked the movie or not.

There were a few elements from this episode that I think really shot it in the foot:
    - the overly sexual nature of the show/jokes really evaporated the tension in the stolas torture bits. It also prevented him from getting *that* hurt since the only place Striker hurt him was in the shoulder. I think moxxie asking harder felt a bit ooc for him, but im not super sure. It just felt annoying imo. I think Striker being stunned about the sexual moments would have felt more earned and appropriate if he didnt have a huge statue with dick out. Even if its hell and an adult show, does every major character have to be hyper sexual?
-with the last point, the show refusing to take the serious moments seriously. Stella is just a whiney brat, even though she's also an abuser. It doesnt feel serious in its execution of an abuse story.
-All the potential of Striker felt lost after Stella called off the hit. Striker wanted to get back at the system, but the meaning of that just doesnt matter when its so easy for him to call it off after the exact kind of person he hates tells him to stop. His motives werent very resolute, which makes him less intimidating. It would have been more interesting if he told Stella "no takebacks". That keeps his motives strong, keeps him as a villain, and makes the fight with moxxie and millie actually matter. As it stands, that fight doesnt matter bc he returns stolas anyways. Calling off the hit feels like a huge cop out by the writers.
-Like you said, the Ozzie conversation happening in a blink if you miss it text is lazy. It doesnt really matter either, because Ozzie already didnt have consequences before so addressing it now when it already didnt effect the plot makes it meaningless.
Even if this video is more about external factors regarding helluva, thank you for making it!

I agree about the hyper sexual part, I wish the statue didn’t have that so it would make a bit more sense. The whole egotistical dick part doesn’t even seem like the same character as Harvest Moon. And Harvest Moon Striker was my favorite villain :( I do however like Moxxie saying that though. It makes sense why he did at least. It clearly was to distract Striker, not because he doesn’t like sex, but because he has choked out Moxxie before, and it was so different from the first time. He was just caught off guard. And honestly? I think it is Blitzo rubbing off on him. Seems like a very Blitzo thing to do. I noticed Blitzo starting to influence him when they were being interrogated in ep 6 and Moxxie started annoying the agents and Blitzo was proud. I like that
Anyway tho, that would’ve been super cool and in character for Striker to say “no takebacks” and to show Stella start screaming at him on the phone before he hangs up. And then to have Moxxie and Millie come in. HOWEVER, you didn’t mention that he was threatening to cut his eyes out so he wouldn’t be able to turn him to stone later. So not like it killed the tension 100%

Her sadistic speech did not read as the words of a pouting toddler. They came from a grown woman who was well aware of all the implications of what she was doing.

I know that Viv has previously talked about how the characterisation and development of certain characters (specifically Millie) suffers from the lack of direction and certainty at the beginning of Helluva Bosses production.
Shouldn't this logically lead to the characterisation and development of certain characters being really strong when they're actually in the spotlight though?
If you're uncertain about how much you can produce, you shouldn't waste screen time

They always have to shoehorn in a bad sex joke in the middle of a supposedly important scene, and while it worked in earlier episodes, its not doing the same now. Recently, a lot of the humor has come at the cost of not only the character but also the emotional impact of the scene. Blitz has emotional issues with Stolas? Check. Stolas makes horny jokes? Check. Stella is mean and evil? Check. Loona is angry? Check. Millie is a badass fighter? Check. The only thing that stands out is Moxxie actually getting to stand up for himself in a fight for once.
But it all just feels like they're just going through the motions with this show. Nothing is actually advancing and characters aren't actually developing. I really wished Moxxie and Millie got to interact with Stolas after they saved him. It would've given Millie a chance to shine as she consoles Stolas and Stolas would see what a good wife Millie is to Moxxie and gain a new perspective on his own situation but no. They don't interact at all and feel like they're not even in the same show. Stolas is only allowed to talk to Blitz for some reason and Millie is only allowed to have interactions with Moxxie. The B plot with Loona at the vet also didn't even need to be here or should've been massively trimmed down so we could get more substantial content from the actual story. Something as simple as Millie comforting Stolas would add to her character and show that she's willing to treat someone with kindness other than Moxxie. And for Stolas, he'd see a prime example of a good romantic partner and realize just what he's done wrong regarding Stella and Blitz, leading to him getting fed up with Blitz's text at the end of the episode.
THAT would've been way more satisfying. But no. The characters just exist. They don't interact with each other. They just exist, do stuff for 20 minutes, and go back into the ether once it's over. These aren't characters, they're animated concepts at best.

To steal a phrase from good old tvtropes: the Villain Decay has really hit HB hard in Season 2, especially where Stella is concerned.
You can tell Stella is the writers' chewtoy because she's basically the only character in the recurring lineup who is axiomatically bad at everything. When I say axiomatically, I mean that every time Stella speaks in S2, she's wrong; always and forever. We're meant to sympathize with Stolas when she bullies him, and in contrast to 'hire a hitman to off my cheating husband' plot from S1, now it has to be pointed out to her (by a male character) that if she kills Stolas she gets nothing from it. I'd like this latest episode a lot more if Stella had gone full "I don't care if Octavia wins, I need Stolas to lose." But no, because then Stella would actually have a point about something. It normally wouldn't bother me to have a cartoon villain act like...a cartoon...but in a series where paid assassins and literal denizens of Hell can be complex and show emotions it's a disappointment that the evil ex-wife is so platonically Always Bad.
Beyond the issues particular to Stella, S2 as a whole is just so much more ham-fisted than S1. The comedy and the drama alike feel less punchy, more meandering, just kind of ambling on an on in efforts to force a reaction by dint of throwing everything at the wall. Striker feels significantly defanged and joked-up compared to his S1 appearance and it is truly wild that we get a 'resolution' to the Ozzie's fallout in a briefly-glimpsed text message history.
I don't know what happened. Maybe the determination to put S2 out after the long gap due to the S1 finale's issues is causing issues in the writers' room; maybe they just need more time to bake. If I had to wait an extra couple weeks to a month to get episodes as good as S1 was I'd be ok with that. As it is, HB really feels like it's running itself into the ground in an effort to keep up the momentum.

    • @Corrector1
      @Corrector1 Год назад +37

About the writing feeling more ham-fisted. Another odd change is that in season 1, several of the antagonists had sympathetic traits. We find out from the start that Verosika has good reason to hate Blitzo, and the last two episodes confirm that it was his fault that their relationship fell apart. Odds are the same will apply to Fizzarolli whenever we find out what happened between him and Blitzo. Striker had the understandable motivation of resenting how imps are treated as the lower class. Asmodeus and Fizzarolli were implied to be in a loving relationship despite their mockery of Moxxie's affection.
But season 2 goes out of its way to make the characters' dads as reprehensible as possible. And Stella isn't just evil, it feels like her entire existence revolves around hurting Stolas.

    • @PlanetZoidstar
      @PlanetZoidstar Год назад +35

I really hate what they've done with Stellas character. Her motivations don't even make sense to me anymore. Like, in season 1 she wanted her husband to die because he cheated on her with an imp. A little bit dramatic, but at least I understood her goal. Then in season 2 we learn that her marriage with Stolas was arranged, something she surely hated just as much as he did. So you'd think that she would just divorce Stolas as soon as Octavia was born, but no. She just sticks around because....she likes tormenting Stolas? Then why does she want to kill him? She can't torment him anymore if he's freaking dead. Wouldn't it make more sense for Stella to just ruin Stolas life by taking everything he has through the divorce? Stellas writing feels so inconsistent

There's no way in any manner a writer or show creator should be able to get away with that. At least some people are just blatant about it like when Kishimoto just said he can't write woman, but there's no way should be able to get away with that excuse and have fans parrot it. There's actually a huge example of just how poorly she's treating her female characters and obviously it's from Twitter. Crim's guard, the guy who doesn't do anything the entire show, was given a name; but Moxxie's mom, the thing that shaped him into who he is today, still hasn't been given one. @rainyrouge5123 Год назад +52

Here are things I think the show needs to do in order to improve (my Helluva Boss wish list if you will)
    1. Most of the episodes should relate to the imps running their business. I have never seen any other piece of media that ignores its own premise this much to go off the rails. It has been so long since the last episode that related to the characters doing their job in a show that is supposed to be a workplace comedy (that's what Viv called it in the announcement video). There can be episodes not related to the business, but those should be exceptions and a change of pace. Because the show pretends I. M. P. doesn't exist anymore, it has no focus and is basically about whatever Viv wants it to be about this week. Plus, the episodes where the characters are working and encounter interesting and funny characters and obstacles while they're doing it are good.
    2. This is related to the last point. The Blitzo x Stolas will they, won't they should be the B Plot. It has become the A Plot at this point. And the more the show centers it, the more it becomes clear just how drawn out it is. There are two ways to write the will they, won't they trope: The good way (a lot of good romantic comedies) and the frustrating way (many sitcoms and bad romantic comedies). Helluva Boss is the latter at this point. It's hard to watch a show where the only reason to keep watching is a relationship that won't be happening any time soon. This would be a lot better if Blitzo x Stolas was a subplot, something that the show could slowly develop while the main plot is happening.
    3. Character development should progress, not repeat or stall. Stolas and Octavia get the same arc in Seeing Stars that they got in Loo Loo Land. It's pretty much the same arc, with a little more Cats in the Cradle added in the second time. It would have been a much better episode if it built on the development that happened in Loo Loo Land instead of just repeating it. And I can say that to some extent that happens with all of the characters in the show, except for characters like Millie and Loona who don't get character development. I also feel like with Blitzo's development specifically the show leaves a lot of loose ends dangling. The temptation to join Striker doesn't seem to have a lasting impact on him. His falling out with Stolas in Ozzie's doesn't seem to have a lasting impact on him or his relationship with Stolas.
    4. Let the women in this show do something interesting. "This show is the show about male characters" is a stupid excuse and we all know that. Loona and Octavia get some decent development, but Millie has gotten shit this entire time. Even in the episode where we meet her family, we don't learn anything about her.
    5. Wrap up the loose threads efficiently. Helluva likes to stack loose threads on top of its old loose threads until eventually there is just a tangled pile of loose threads and a convoluted story. And sometimes multiple lose threads in the air for a while can be a good thing, but sometimes you just need to get the payoff out there as soon as possible. For example, the fallout after Ozzie's is something that should have started affecting Stolas and Blitzo's relationship in the very next episode. Don't delay the payoff for multiple episodes there.
    6. Daddy issues isn't the only character arc in the world. Why does everybody in Hell have daddy issues? Can we at least get someone with Mommy Issues to balance things out?

Here I am a struggling-to-find-my-spark person trying my best to read accountancy, after deciding to derail off starting a career in laboratory work, and merely daydreaming about my little pet project at this point. And even I know to treat every character equally, male or female. They all deserve their own story, traumatised or not.
(Though the only issue my daydream pet project will have is that it involves the fact that almost everyone has died once, and hence ended up at where they be at, and thusly there will be some angst about wishing to have done something different in their past and whatnot, as well as probably more angst about the history of the place these unfortunate souls ended up at that affects their physiology, in the form of all possessing dual-egos.)
And yet we have this woman who went through ART SCHOOL, is doing art for a LIVING, has done 3 projects, 2 of which she abandoned ship the moment it started sinking, and after 13 whole damn years, still treats the female characters like they’re just a plot device for the male characters to even be interesting, when all is BACK TO SQUARE ZERO in the next episode.
I may see myself as straight as a pole, but I damn well don’t see gay couples as some mere fap material. I don’t even see the interest in Stolitz, and I know the show is forcing the two together despite both lacking chemistry,
but yet, I feel that Vivzie doesn’t even give the necessary basic respect to Stolitz with the way they’ve been written as a Wattpad gay couple in season 2. It actually sickens me.

Yep, Viv actually did say this in a Twitter thread. And this is cap.
First of all, if this was really the case, why in the world would you make one of your main leads Female? Secondly, all of the male in hazbin characters have basically been given more more spotlight than the female characters. Now, you could say that they are just saving the lore and things for charlie and vaggie for when the show actually comes out. And yeah... That could be true... But it still shows that the male characters in hazbin have a thousand times more character than the female characters in helluva boss do.
When characters from a show that ISN'T EVEN OUT YET have more personality and development than characters from a show that's already on season two, you know you have a problem.

Couldn’t Viv just have made Millie a side character, and the main team is just Blitz, Moxxie and Loona?
I feel like they could both benefit from this because ; Loona would get to do more and have more screen time (therefore more time for character depth) and Millie could just be “Moxxies cool wife” who occasionally gets involved with episodes, she has to be in Ozzies and she comes along in truth seekers to save Mox, and gets her first badass fight sequence,(maybe Blitz even invites her to join IMP?) and then there wouldn’t feel the need to dedicate an episode to her since she wouldn’t be that important to begin with, and could just never develop her if they wanted and most fans probably wouldn’t care as much, she would just need to be a kickass, loving undeveloped character she remains today. Just an idea
For Hazbin, I’m not going to judge it yet since it haz-en’t (get it?) come out yet. I’m hoping Charlie and Vaggie (and for other female characters like Cherri, Nifty etc) get better treatment in the official show, doesn’t mean I want Viz to neglect the guys since their cool too.

These artists do have passion, but if they want to make their ideas a series, then they really need to commit and think these things through in the long run. More often than not, the pilot episode is the very best you're going to get out of these shows and that's as far as they go - anything else beyond the pilot entry is usually not very well structured and ends up as a disjointed mess. Viewers are quick to praising them for the visuals, but they often ignore the apparent flaws and degradation of writing quality. And Before you know it, the creators of these shows will run out of ideas and burn out very quickly, no matter how much merch they shamelessly try to push out early on.

These videos are always a gut punch to me. Mostly because these series grew on me, very hard. I was from the pilot, and I couldn't possibly stop myself from supporting it as much as I could. I had so much hope for Vivzie, and I still do. I want it to be a good, funny show, with amazing characters, because I recognize the effort put into it. And these critics are always hurting me deeply, because they are true. I can't deny it, that isn't a good show, that isn't what I imagined it to be. A goofy series, that can maturely stop for a second, and talk about the difficult subjects. But no.
And maybe I was foolish to believe it. I will continue to watch this show, purely for my guilty pleasure, and to pick up flaws to never get them in my own future work.. and probably for this stupid drama, and how they resolve it.

I was hoping that since Moxxie and Millie were being sent to deal with Striker that they could give Millie some more development since she has directly been attacked by Striker before and all, but she does somehow less for the plot than usual. If they planned for Striker to be more than a one-off character and to focus on him, which they clearly do considering he’s still alive and we have a small hint of his backstory, the question becomes less ‘how come they cant get Norman back’ and more ‘Why did they even have Norman voice him to begin with’
It sucks because I really liked Reedus as Striker, but they clearly shouldnt have done it in the first place considering what they want to do with him as a reoccuring character

Apparently Viv admitted that most of the show wasn't even outlined until after the pilot, which explains a lot.
I'm starting to lose a lot of interest in the show, not just because of the story losing some of its seams but because of Viv's tweets. Just today she got sassy at people who didn't particularly like her Beelzebub design. On one hand, yeah, it's her show, she can do what she wants, but when she's sprinkling in serious moments in a show that wasn't supposed to be taken seriously, I can see why people were expecting more Lord of the Flies and not Kesha's bee-fox fursona. (At least Stolas had the long legs and Asmodeus had the three heads -- Beelzebub's design just feels very out of place compared to other named Goetians so far.)
TLDR; came for the gore comedy animation. Got cheap drama and a growingly vindictive creator jabbing at critical fans. I'm very close to checking out.

  • @projectADF05

(This is just my opinion and if you still love the show I’m happy you do)
To me this episode was the nail on the coffin, I can forgive certain things like continuity, characters maybe trying to avoid problems, forcing in jokes, and other things but I’m finally at my limit where I can’t now. I really loved this show then the first season happened and was so excited to see what came next, season 2 episode 1 happened and I thought for the most part it was pretty good actually. Thought the meaning was good and the story flowed well but then I started really thinking about the whole picture. Why make Stella a one note abuser when she could have much more then that, why make the 2 “main characters” feel like “oh no we are so tragic and not bad at all” when they had more depth to them then just that. I was ok looking past it though because maybe it was a tiny bump but then the episodes just kept making the same mistakes over and over again and I’m really asking myself “What happened” but again I went “ok you know what I’ll see how it comes before saying anything”.
(Next Part Is going to be a lot so stop reading here if you are still a really big fan of the show)
Then the newest episode came out and was the point we’re I said “No it’s time I put my foot down”. I really said out loud why in the hell is Striker who is suppose to be a really threading villain who takes is job seriously letting Stolas call Blitz and tell him that he has Stolas! Like why? What’s the actual point in doing that if you want to kill him, that just makes you a very sloppy hit man. I also can’t believe how bad the pacing of everything has become in this show, it’s heart breaking that we use to have believeable timing for comedy and serious moments but now they get thrown together as one or totally forget how to do it! Example is Striker choking out Moxxie, it’s very serious and was legitimately scary to see but the second time Striker chokes him out? It’s played as a joke!
And please don’t tell me the “well he probably did that as a way to confuse him” because we shouldn’t have to guess that the case, we been guessing a lot of things just to make things fit. They can easily fix it by Moxxie saying like “I already learned from last time” or “Got you with that trick huh?” It’s not that hard to fix. The other point is the Stolas and Blitz “dynamic” now which isn’t even anything anymore, it’s just drama to be drama and don’t know what they want to do. In my opinion if I was legit almost killed by a Hit Man from my Ex Wife I would be warning my daughter and let everyone know what the hell happened then going “awww man he didn’t text back” it makes me so disappointed what happened to this show. I do still love the animation, the team, the effort to make it look good, and all that this does for people. For me now though I think I’m done with Helluva Boss and I hope things will only get better.
