i remember the day that the intermecion cube guy was announced to have a full animated series and the hype has not died since
The guy's just real good at making shows about dweeby dudes following around girls who dismember people, and I respect that.
intermecian cube guy is Liam Vickers.
@@jeffscrungle6179i just realised N is that dweeby dude following around girls who dismember people.
Liam vickers
lol
The fact this show comes from the guys who do SMG4 is frankly mind-blowing.
To think they went from making meme videos to genuine indie animated series. Gotta give my hat to em.
Oh yeah that is something funny I hope more people acknowledge at some point: some of the best online animation we’ve gotten in the past few years was made with the help of the funny Mario meme guys
I can’t believe they went from making videos of big chungus to making masterpieces
I discovered this recently, and I must say, as a fan of SMG4, my mind EXPLODED seeing such a good series, with excellent quality and nice characters, like, I was like "bro did SMG4 do this?", this is TOTALLY different from what I see in SMG4,so much quality, I love it so much man
the smg4 videos itself are shit though
idk smg4 but im pretty sure Uzi has the same voice actor as meggy or smthing idk
And also lila from spooky month, mommy long legs, the weird old lady from mr hopps and more
Comparing Murder Drones to Twilight is what makes We Are Not Alive so special.
I am genuinely so thrilled more people are talking and reacting to the show it’s hands down my favorite web show currently on RUclips
Edit: pretty hard for V to do anything wrong now that she’s dead
AGREED!
I disagree, it's not the just best web show on RUclips it's the best 3D animation every.
Yes
Literally the best. Probably gonna be my favorite TV series for a very long time
@@LocusNewsHDimagine saying this 💀
It's very funny you mention that Liam Vickers' horror enthusiasm, because he actually has written/narrated a number of short original horror stories on an alt channel called Scary Story Time With Liam, which is how I first found out about him. They're all very well-written and properly unnerving and I highly recommend any horror lovers to check them out.
Honestly, seeing Murder Drones be such a success is so vindicating, especially since his other project, Cliffside, never really seemed to get off the ground. Between this, Lackadaisy, and The Amazing Digital Circus, the future of indie animation is looking very bright indeed. #VDidNothingWrong
Don't forget about the Internecion Cube
9:51 You can never overestmate how hard this scene goes. Scenes like this is literally what keeps me waiting for new episodes, even though I have no idea of what's happening in the big story arc.
Murder Drones is absolutely fantastic. However, nothing can make me more excited for Glitch Production's next animated series: The Amazing Digital Circus. And the reason for that, is that Gooseworx is absolutely the most strange, insane, unhinged storyteller on RUclips.
#VDidNothingWrong
J did nothing wrong Long live humanity motherfucker
I would have thought that would have gone to Liam Vicker but I guess I got a channel to check out
Finally someone who understands my girl V🥲
@@torgerthorkildson725: So, what did you think?
@@phantomkitten73 well she's good but I still think it would go to Liam Vickers because he's got some good stories
Is it me or does this series generate 2013 youtube energy. Like I feel a lower budget version of this would have totally fit back then and stood out just as much if not more than it does now
My favorite show where the plot is instigated by sending union busters to kill the self organized labor force.
#vdidnothingwrong
Lmao
(abt the v did nothing wrong hashtag) nooott too sure abt that but same goes for the rest of them except maybe tessa but im sure she'll be back :D
I'm sorry, is your profile pic a goomy smoking? Because that's hilarious.
@@Plexxis_SugarPomfr 💀
It is also important to remember what Liam Vickers brought to the show, a good deal of the eldritch body horror, (as coined by another youtuber) 'adorifying' female characters, and story or lore info (or even comedy) shoved into single frames of the animation (did you know that at least some of the scrolling text for absolute solver is readable?)
EDIT: also, #Vdidnothingwrong
"V did nothing wrong"
well...
"No, please don't feed me my own entrails in front of my family" -one of V's victims during the pilot
I've been a fan of Liam Vickers since SSTWL, but I've never watched Murder Drones. Every time I hear about I'm like "oh yeah, I need to get around to watching that" and then completely forget about it again until the next time I'm reminded about it.
Watch it now
You’re missing out
Did you watch it?
Look at Liam go. From Creepypastas to making a whole show.
Edit: And yes, #Vdidnothingwrong
(abt the v did nothing wrong hashtag) nooott too sure abt that but same applies for the rest of them except maybe tessa since well.. you know *cough cough* but im sure V will be back :D
I watched murder drones recently and here's my review:
Animation: Very good looking honestly, i love the action scenes but the animation is kindda really awkward at times not even because its bad but the characters do weird gestures
Design: Yes please great designs for V and N
Story: I didn't understand anything at the first few episodes and i don't understand much now, i think they should make the story a bit more clear. Although i like the mystery around the story
Here's the thing about the mystery: it's something you can solve. So much text and blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments that it warrants repeat viewings and watching in slow motion. And besides that, it's one of those shows that make more sense the more you rewatch an episode.
@@binkyboy448 I'm not really good at catching those type of things sadly.
ok the story complaint is definitely a you problem
after they hired kevin temmer the animation is on another level
Im pretty sure it was after ep 3 and you can really see it on the lighting and stuff in ep 4 and 5
First ep thr animetion was kinda rough compared to later eps but it was a pilot so understanable
Are you guys gonna watch episode 6 on August 18th on a Friday
V did nothing wrong! Or at least, she's trying. She's easily my favorite character, and I can't wait to see her continued development.
well...
Damn this aged like both milk and wine
I like how each episode switch skips some content so you have to figure out what happened in between and how the creators have faith in the intelligence of the viewer that they can figure out what happened
Murder Drones is probably my favorite indie series on RUclips right now, the Worldbuilding and Atmosphere are just immaculate and the Characters are great too
One thing I absolutely love about Murder Drones is that, yes, it has Slasher and Horror elements, but I'd hesitate to call it a Slasher/Horror series. It's more like a mystery drama comedy that USES horror tropes to further its storytelling.
Murder Drones tries all kinds of things, and it's admirable how hey managed to do so many things right.
#Vdidnothingwrong
I had a feeling you guys would like Murder Drones, it's easily my favorite show on RUclips rn and I've watched every episode multiple times. I think a big part of its charm, as you say, comes from the sheer confidence it has in itself from the very first episode. I was really worried that it would be one of those things that can't take itself seriously and need to have a joke any time things get real. The first episode has that moment where Uzi's dad just leaves her to die, and they play it completely straight. It's interesting how well the show will manage to have jokes in serious scenes (like the falling scene at the end of episode 4) and still be a serious scene that's emotionally resonant. I'm really excited to see more of the show, and more stuff from Glitch too, like the upcoming Amazing Digital Circus
Anyway, this video was great! I'm happier seeing stuff like this than another Helluva Boss video about how it's still bad and keeps getting worse but you're still watching it for some reason. Nothing against y'all, that's just my least favorite genre of youtube video and I'm sure you understand
#vdidnothingwrong
Yeah.. like if you don't like it pls.. don't watch and stop milking it for hater content.
Be right back, gotta binge Murder Drones and maybe go through Glitch's other shows as well. #vdidnothingwrong
I recommend also Liam's own stuff like Cliffside or Internecion Cube
Why the "V did nothing wrong", like, she decided to sacrifice herself to save the others, it's not like a punishment or something like that (oh and not to mention the things she did)
@@YourLocalSenpaiFan someone didn't watch to the end of this video

The big thing to know about Glitch is that they didn't get their start with the other shows on their channel. It actually began with "SMG4", a Machinima meme comedy series made with games like Super Mario 64 when one of them was just a teen goofing around on RUclips every weekend. Eventually they turned it into a sandbox for more carefully crafted storytelling, which gave them the push to become the indie studio you know now.
As for Glitch's other shows, I recommend Meta Runner. It's rough around the edges with its animation and design, but as far as a first effort at a 100% original series goes, it's more solid than I thought it would be. Just know that the Glitch channel has Season 1 spliced into a movie (with some scenes removed for pacing), while the episodic version is on their SMG4 channel.
Sunset Paradise is a harder sell because it's a spin-off starring one of their original characters from SMG4. Taken on its own, it's a harmless little story, but it plays out more like an interlude in its protagonist's story (the premise is a vacation gone wrong), with little hints and bits of what her life was like before. So it benefits from you already knowing who the hero is and what she's all about.
Yeah, though one upside of sunset paradise is that I feel it’s written a lot better than meggy’s actual arc in the main show post anime-arc
Yeah, the "Glitch" in Glitch Productions comes from Luke's username, Supermarioglitchy4, which is what SMG4 stands for (at least actually, I know in the in-universe lore the meaning was changed in Wotfi 2021 but in real life that's the full name). The original name for Glitch Productions itself was Glitchy Boy but no one understood what the heck that was so they changed it lol.
#Vdidnothingwrong
I've been a fan of Liam Vickers's creation since Cliffside (and I even went back and looked at some of his audio dramas) and Murder Drones is PEAK Liam content. It's one of my favorite shows just in general, not just on RUclips.
Honestly. If ya keep in mind's the protags are all killer predators by design, #VdidNothinfWrong . She was made for a job and does it to the best of her own survivability, and even willing to permit some exceptions for Uzzie's & N's shenanigans.
If you do watch the other Glitch shows, I suggest that if you get to Sunset Paradise, you watch as much SMG4 as you can. It’s a RUclips channel owned by the creators of Glitch, which explains the main character and context of Sunset Paradise.
It still amazes me that Murder Drones, something a large portion of the internet is talking about was built off a legacy of Mario humping spaghetti.
Mario doing what now 💀
"Murder Drones is the good twilight"😂😂😂
Gotta love a show that you can get one perspective on and when others give their perspective (one that you didn't consider) you can't unsee it because it's so unexpectedly true.
#Vdidnothingwrong
I'm so glad this amazing show is getting the attention it deserves. #Vdidnothingwrong ? She murdered several children she was supposed to be supervising.
#vdidnothingwrong Yes but consider: It was also extremely funny
I mean most of the kids she killed were jerks sooo
I mean she had a reason to
im sure she'll be back though!!
Tbh MD is so good that it makes me feel like im lesser and i wouldnt be able to ever even be close to creating so good as murder drones, great video fellas, keep up the good work
You guys have NO CLUE how vindicated I felt when you said that Murder Drones is vampire fiction with robots. I noticed that the Murder Drones themselves were so similar to vampires in concept while I was watching it for the first time, which I just found!! So cool!!!
2:31 I agree with this, it’s just unique and honestly makes the show more and more enjoyable
thank you, for pointing out how refreshing it is to have a protagonist you're not supposed to relate to, i've always hated the idea that you have to relate to the protagonists, because no, i don't want to, i'd rather not be in the story, if i wanted to be part of something i'd make myself part of something, instead, give my protagonists i want to be friends with, give me characters i want to know
#vdidnothingwrong
I think what really makes it good is that there always is something at the end of the episode to keep you hooked (except maybe episode 1)
The Absolute Solver starting to become this terrifying super virus keeps you edged to the seat. It just gives so much Inspiration for absolutely horrific things, i love it
i'm glad i wasn't the only one who immediately picked up on the vampire vibes when they showed up, it felt like sort of a reach but now i'm more confident in saying "that's vampires"
You guys are so right to point out the fact that this show has so much broad appeal! There's so much to like here! There's sci-fi robot stuff, there's vampire-like shenanigans, there's teenage interactions, there's a lot of charactrer and charisma, there's horror, there's comedic writing, there's the apocalipse premise, there's the genre mashup... This show has a lot and you only need to be grabbed by one to enjoy all.
I can’t tell you how wonderfully bizarre it is to see creators I’ve been watching since I was in my mid to early teens go on to create legitimate productions like this. From murder drones to the up-and-coming amazing digital circus it feels almost surreal to see
Also vdidnothingwrong
I found murder drones about two weeks after the second episode came out, so while I didn't have to wait the year that passed between the pilot episode and episode two, I still did have to wait a while for episodes 3-5. It's honestly a great show. The animation and voice acting are great, and the story is very compelling. Also, Glitch just uploaded a teaser for episode 6!
Before I watch this video, by the title alone, ABSOLUTELY yes. Murder Drones episodes made me excited and ecstatic because each new episode is jam-packed with new stuff all at a tangible pace to boot. I love this show so much, and I'm so looking forward to Glitch's other show, The Amazing Digital Circus. I should really buy some MD merch...
Also Uzi's voice actor is the same one as mommy long legs.
the fact that liam has made 2 other projects both with amazing storytelling mixed with the experienced and ever growing team of animators at glitch make’s following the process more rewarding
This vid was great! Like many others, Murder Drones is probably my favorite indie series ever, and I totally agree with you guys that this show and it’s atmosphere are phenomenal, all thanks to Glitch and Liam Vickers.
#Vdidnothingwrong
one of the AWESOME details i noticed while watching is that the "ultimate solver" symbol is litteraly just the axis in a 3d modeling tool with a default cube being controlled in the middle, which makes perfect sense for the way the powers work
I have such high hopes for GLITCH. The writing is super good and the animation. It's not only really good but it's super economical for an Indy studio. Look at the characters it's all the same model with different clothes and hair. And it's such a good robot model there's a ton of range with them transforming into monsters too. I feel like if they blow up they might actually spend the money right and focus on making quality content and quicker.
It’s crazy that 2 brothers animating Mario humping spaghetti in their parents’ house evolved into an incredible animated series that several people are making positive essay videos on.
this show legit is so good it should be on netflix(not bc of the money thing but bc its literally that good)
I’m still waiting for that internet circus show.
I am hyped for every new episode that comes out. Fr, they got me hooked, and I hate but love it in the same time.
The design is iconic
the story interesting
animation smooth
You just know that Uzi is the akward edgy teen

The murder drone show is a refresher for people that have watched low quality and bad shows on youtube, this is my first favourite show on youtube, i like the story telling, and the character development is Absolutely miracle.
I love this show, and I love that I keep seeing more and more videos of people reacting to or making theories or talking about this show. I like things being small, but I love being part of small groups and taking part in it growing. I'm always super excited to wait for a new episode, and I'm happy there's so many people here! 😊
I found Murder Drones based on the fanart and seeing it tagged with 'murderdrones' got me searching. I genuinely love that it can balance horror and sarcastic comedy in scenes so well.
Also you guys kept saying Eldritch J and my brain immediately imagined like. Juggalo Cthulhu.

Apparently I already watched episode 3 or 4. I don't remember watching it at all, but I do VAGUELY remember seeing the thumbnails for Murder Drones about 3-4 years ago. Which is weird, cause the show isn't that old.

When I saw the first episode of Murder Drones I literally started to getting into it and it ended up being my favorite show to watch which basically I hope glitch and Liam will make a 2nd season because it’s just good it’s a perfect animated show that needs another season but I’m just hoping we get one since I know it’s not always about murder drones since they need to make other shows with other creators. Since Glitch’s goal is to make shows for the Teen category of shows but let’s just hope they make another season for Murder drones it’s just so darn good

And to think I found this show by
1. Having it on my RUclips recommended
2. Thinking it looked somewhat interesting, idk, might check that out later.
3. Checking a niche social media I have
4. Seeing one of my followers posting something about 'N' (I, being an avid OC creator had one sharing the same name at the time so my interest was piqued obviously)
5. Seeing a silly robot boi instead of my OC
6. Deciding I wanted to know what this silly boi was from
7. Going home, finding it's the first video on my RUclips home page recommended
8. *Liking the show a normal amount ever since then, missing only the premiere of episode 3, and making 20+ OCs in the first year of it being on air. Surprisingly only one with a single letter name.*

Murder drones is an amazing indie show and I love it
I know Liam to this show is very much a Alex Hirsch to Inside Job situation. But Cliffside and his other pilots show on display how good he is at this whole horror with very modernized or post modern elements thing. Honestly, I hope he stays indie or makes his own company because I would hate for any of his projects to be treated like Inside Job or Owl House or Futurama.

It actually makes sense why the quality of this series is so well made.
Liam Vickers - Creator of the series, made a project called "Cliffside" which I believe was supposed to be its own thing but failed, but it had remarkably similar character designs to murder drones, its obvious that they have heavily altered, edited, and improved in the original story, likely with the help of GLITCH creators, Kevin and Luke
Speaking of which,
GLITCH Productions - Kevin and Luke have been on the youtube scene for years now, mainly known for their SMG4 channel about Mario and other insert characters. The channel is inappropriate, remarkably funny and random, and yet has extremely passionate plots and arcs.
Since Glitch also made Meta Runners and Sunset Paradise, two series about their SMG4 characters, Tari and Meggy (hol up its been forever since ive watched smg4 SINCE WHEN DID TARI HAVE A REDESIGN???) The glitch team has had years of experience and practice with this to help improve murder drones.
Also, when yall mentioned how Murder Drones uses silence instead of always needing a constant noise and how they expand on how its unafraid to try new things, it just makes sense for Glitch, especially considering a main joke for the SMG4 channel is nude mario doing devious things to pasta.
And the ost? No clue where they got all that, on one hand, i wanna say WOTFI def helped them breach musical and ambiance limits, but i know there's no way thats the case, but regardless, the ost for murder drones is JAW DROPPINGLY GORGEOUS.
Anyhow, just my thoughts, toodooloo!
"hol up its been forever since ive watched smg4 SINCE WHEN DID TARI HAVE A REDESIGN???"
pretty recently actually.
